Staff were very friendly. Hotel is close to hiking trails and is in a beautiful area. So convenient to have a 24 hour diner in the parking lot. Beautiful views.

Great hotel in front of Hedge falls, near Mt Shasta, Siskiyou lake and Castle lake. Go to Dunsmuir only to get your groceries at the supermarket and visit beautiful Mt Shasta town for shopping and coffee. We took a drive to nearby Ashland, Oregon, just 1 hour away, and were gratefully surprised at the great Lithia park, and many restaurants and shops of this little town. Please visit the Oregon Shakespeare theatre if you can.

Spotlessly clean with friendly staff. pennys diner served good diner food at a very reasonable price. Bad side is a two story hotel with no elevator, no in room coffee, and internet/cell reception spotty. In the mountains so I get the reception.

Nothing fancy but clean and pleasant basic hotel room. The staff were kind about allowing us to check in early. Nice that there's a 24/7 diner onsite for meals. My only complaint is that prior to our visit we wanted to confirm their pet policy. It was impossible to get in contact with anyone from the hotel to answer a question.

I have stayed here before. I had requested a room on the first floor well in advance, knowing the hotel does not have an elevator. Despite booking early and traveling with young children and extra luggage, my request was not honored, which made our stay unnecessarily difficult. The rooms themselves were adequately clean and had basic amenities, but the lack of consideration for our situation was disappointing. I’m unlikely to stay here again.

Easy access

Second stay in about 3 years on the way to Oregon. Close to freeway. 24 hour diner is next to the hotel and serves as the check in desk. Really clean room. Diner is great for a budget. Had dinner and breakfast.
