We have stayed at the hotel for a week and had very good time there. The building is old, also the larking area, but the location is super, beach is just right behind the hotel and offers great entertainment every evening. The common areas are ok, spa is nice with big indoor swimming pol and small pool for kids outside, the room was alright, rather 3 star quality but the bathroom was absolutely tiny. We had full board, what became a little bit borning at the end of the week, but they has wide selection every day. They were making animated programs for the kids, so no doubt the hotel was full of families.
Very nice hotel, it seems like it was refurbished not so long ago. Located almost on the beach of Sipar, which has a very nice walking path. Decent prices, very clean and with very kind staff. Short walk to the seaside where you can find some nice caffees.
This is my second review and my overall rating is lower than last time. I spent one night in Hotel Marina during last weekend’s diving activities. At the hotel property, there is a great diving center with helpful and friendly stuff. But hotel really needs refurbishment. Rooms are clean, but outdated. Food was poor with with little variation. Sauna center is open only till 19:00. I came to the SPA reception at 18:00 and there was no one. I went to main hotel reception and asked receptionist where can I get towels for SPA. She said that at SPA reception very rude, but I have to wait 15 minutes. SPA receptionist is also masseur. At the time I got towels, only 30 minutes left for my SPA experience. Močeniška Draga is small and quiet village. I enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere of a small town with extremely nice panorama.
This hotel sells itself at 5 star pricing and offers AT BEST 3 star service The town is very nice but the hotel has substandard rooms, poor for quality and rude staff If you are going to say in M Draga stay at an apartment
The hotel is best suited for families with kids. The main attraction is location - just meters away from a very nice beach. Rooms are well furnished and spacious. Service is attentive. There is quite a bit of activities for kids. The main downside is food. It is plentiful, but barely average. Moscenicka Draga itself is a very small village. No nightlife here.
We took all inclusive light - 3 meals with beverage (205€/room/night). Food was ok, very diverse and of a good taste. But thats all that satisfied me here. The building must be very old, very few things were renovated. Our room had sea view that was pretty nice, but there was mold in a bathroom as you can see on my pics. They charge 10€/night for parking and 20€/day for dogs just to stay there. Hotel has no natural beach, only by wellness where you can use their sunbeds and umbrellas for free. Beach nearby is very nice, covered with small stones, water is clean. There's dogs beach app. 5 minutes walk from hotel, its very small and has very little space to lay down. Hotel offers entertainment every night with different musicians. A lot of families with small children go there.
What to say - if you wish to stay in very romantic place with nice beach , very suitable for children, you have no choice, you must stay in this hotel, which is very close to the beach and in Moščenická Draga direct are only 2 hotels with half or fullboard. They know it very well, that´s why company Remisens has this hotel as a factory for money. For the old building and no nice garden, pure service, they do not take care about it , they charge a lot of money just for the location . Rooms are for 4 star hotel so so acceptable, but other service no. Enough food in restaurant, but low quality, pasta and rice no tasty and mostly overcooked,no show cooking, only acceptable for 4 star hotel is dessert buffet. Not too much children friendly, dinner first at 7 p.m. , no kids corner close to dinning room, only limited hours kids club by the beach. Young girls in the reception very unfriendly, personal in restaurant mostly older, but all right. For the better price we would come again, just because of nice beach , but first minute price for family in summer cca 1800 per week with meal disagree with service in this hotel. You have to pay all extra, parking 10 EUR per day, taxes and cca 10 EUR per day for 1 sunbed and parasol in pure garden in front of the hotel, drinks on the bar in the evening also very overpriced , cca 7-8 EUR for 2 dcl of normal wine.
+vantage location:first line to the nice beach with clean water (inspite of too many people), supermarket, 2 shops, bank, scuba diving school in the same and next buildings + miniclub, teens club and playground, really nice family-oriented hotel + we asked to change the room because wanted one with a bath tub, nor a shower and got it on the second day +- children pool, but small and there are tooany flies inside sometimes +-big parking, but it was full a couple of times (in hot season- July), costs 10€ per day, too expensive I'd say +- stuff was helpful but the girls on the reception always had sour faces and seemed tired +- various food, we always found something to eat; sometimes too crowdy and not enough babychairs, I'd like more seafood -some renovations needed, we had a cracked sink and some cracks in the wallpainting -during 12 days stay the bed linen has never been changed - we had to ask twice for an extra towel for our child, and after changing towels it was taken away again -bad sound isolation, quite loud from the corridor
Stayed here for two nights as part of a Leger Tour. We were supposed to stay at a quality 4 star hotel in Opatija. What a let down. First impressions were of a dowdy holiday camp establishment. Poor colour choices of decor. At first we were assigned to a very poorly decorated room. The air-conditioning was not working and temperatures steeply rising. The room was way past its sell by date. Poor decor and not clean. Layers of dust on ledges and light switches. "Best feature" (I jest, NOT at the time) was the balcony overlooking the roof of the kitchen and dining room covered in rusty pipes and vents. These were very noisy. Chip flavoured steam was belching out of the vent closest to our balcony. ( other friends travelling with us had holes punched into their ceiling and walls). The bathroom was very out dated in decor and quite tight for space. On speaking to reception we were told maintenance were working on the air conditioning, this turned out not to be true as it hadn't been working for some weeks, we found out from other staff. Reception staff told us to open our balcony door and let the cool air in during the night (along with mosquitoes, chip fat steam, air from vents and the diningroom air conditioning motor noise). Not great! I had enough and said either the air con was fixed or we would be moving to another room after dinner. I was told there were no other rooms, but miraculously they found three rooms at the front of the hotel to relocate us. The air con wasn't working there either, but at least we could open the balcony door for air (and put up with swatting the mosquitoes). Restaurant is self service with average food, reasonable breakfast and our group was allocated a tight table behind some pillars, a it crushed and uncomfortable, there was an adjacent part of the dining room that could seat maybe 100 people unused and more airy/spacious. Very busy restaurant. Waiter staff and bar staff very friendly and helpful. Reception staff very poor. Nice grounds and location close to pebble beach really good. Quiet, pleasing town with nice, friendly people. Reasonably priced. The hotel could be a gem if refurbished, decorated and air con etc fixed.. Currently, I would not revisit or recommend.
Rectangular concrete block with dark corridors, Luke warm sauna where nudity is compulsory even for those who shouldn't be seen naked. Chilly salt water pool. Sea view from our "superior" room was a glimpse of the harbour, rest blocked by trees and buildings. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Nice town. Breakfast in a large soulless barn of a room with no fresh juice.
