I arrived late to " The Parkway" on my way to Nashville. I was overcharged $5. I got to the room, opened the door and almost had to call EMS for oxygen. The place reeked. If I hadn't been riding for so long on my Harley en route to Nashville, I would have bailed. I was able to get some sleep, but very happy to get out of there in the approximate five hours I lasted. Breakfast: umm, some rolls, cereal, something I think was juice and succulent coffee. Goes with the room. Oh, and the front office reeked of Indian curd or something akin to that. If my dog had been with me, he would taken my leg off. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE STAY IN THAT PIGSTY.

Put it this way there's no Wi-Fi fridge sucks I have a medical problem told them to put me down stairs on the first floor I guess person on the front desk puts me upstairs with no elevator went on my reservation it says I cannot do stairs. I do not recommend staying here for anybody to be better off to go next-door to super 8

This is an older motel and it shows its age, but it is clean and you get what you pay for. With a coupon, I paid $39 plus tax and it was worth it. The room was stuffy and smelled a bit musty, but after running the air conditioner for 30 minutes, all was good. The free breakfast consisted of packaged bagels and cold cereal, but again, what would you expect for this low price? The bed was comfortable and the towels and wash cloths were pretty pathetic and thin, but clean and functional. Overall, certainly not the worst place I have stayed in, nor the best, but for the price. Nice enough. People seem too picky about things today. I will be back.

This has to be the absolute worst hotel/motel I have ever encountered. We were traveling back to Ohio via going through Johnson City, TN. There weren't any available hotels within 40-60 miles due to a car race in Bristol. I finally found this place and they had a few rooms left and made the reservation via my phone. I arrived after 10pm and the owner/attendant- Vince Patel didn't know about my reservation until he took the time to look at his fax machine. He finally found the reservation and we processed the transaction. Upon entering the room it was damp and very stale and musty smelling. Opening the door and turning on the AC helped with this some. I then turned down the sheet and there were dried blood drops on one side of the bottom sheet. It was not a stain that hadn't come out, but new drops and the sheet had not been changed. After four phone calls to the front desk, we demanded new sheets and Vince came and changed them. I told him I wanted a partial credit the next day and he agreed and also asked if I was satisfied for now. We did not sleep well as the place felt dirty. We had no choice, but to stay at the hotel due to the lack of accommodations anywhere close by. The next morning my husband went to the office to get the "breakfast". It consisted of a jug of juice, stale coffee, hot water (no tea bags) and a box of small powdered store bought donuts. There was also a very large (1-1.5") black bug on the bathroom floor as well as a yellow stain (urine?) near the bathroom door). When I went to check out and requested the partial refund Vince got down right indignant with me and told me I stayed all night and that I had told him everything was fine the night before when he changed the sheets. I told him I had no choice but to stay there and that he had said he would give me partial credit. This escalated into a very heated argument in front of the other customers. After 45 minutes of arguing he gave me a $60 credit and told me to never come back and stay there again. I assured him that I would never be caught dead there and that I would tell others to not stay there as well.

Driving home from tx to va, with our dog and 10 month old,they allowed pets with a "cash" only 10 pet deposit..paid for room with card..the room was absolutely putrid, i was just happy to find a place that took big dog..then we saw nasty stains all over both beds, sheets weren't clean..just 2 top sheets with cigarette burns everywhere..(yes it was a non smoke room)and nasty stains.fridge frosted shut.called front desk as it was very late and door was locked, no answer..thankfully i had blankets and pillows in up this morning and was gonna shower..towels both gross..then killed 2 roaches in bathroom...we left asap..did try to talk to manager...he didnt care..blamed housekeeper...didnt even apologize..stay somewhere else..this is the first time ive ever written a review..this is all true! My skin is still crawling! Grosss

I was a little leery of this place after reading the reviews, so I asked to see the room before I ponied up my credit card. It's a motel room. Nothing particularly good, nothing particularly bad. My room could have used a bit of updating, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable enough and it had a working fridge, microwave and TV. There were no bugs, no loud fights outside my door and the staff was courteous, though not overly friendly. I stayed for 3 nights, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again next year.

Parkway Inn in Morristown is absolutely awful, probably the most horrendous motel I've actually visited. We came in, got the room, walked into the room, and it looked awful. There was pubic hair all over the sink, a Snapple bottle left in the fridge(that I ended up placing on top of the microwave), there were only 2 towels in the entire room, the beds felt hard as a rock. We had to use the restroom so we literally peed and washed our hands with the soap that was by the sink. As soon as we did that, we decided we didn't want to stay there because of how run down this place was. I remembered they had a sign in the front office saying "no refunds after 15 minutes"- by that time, 10 minutes have already passed. So I ran to the office with my receipt and key, and this woman starts to inform me that if anything was used in the room, the refund option would be void. Too bad they didn't list that bit on the actual sign. I just stared at her, and told her we just used the toilet and the soap. That's when she got an attitude with me, and started slamming things. She then informed me that she needs to see the room and everything that was used, and then she will determine if we will get a refund. Once she walked into the room, she started slamming things again, she went into the bathroom, slammed the toilet lid closed, looked in the shower and reached in as if there was something in there(we didn't use the shower, so whatever was in there was left by their housekeeping staff), then walked out, threw both garbage cans on the floor, grabbed the soap and threw that in the garbage as well. As she was walking by the microwave, she turned to me, and with a very nasty attitude said, "you need to take your Snapple bottle", at which point I let her know that the bottle was actually left in the fridge by whoever cleaned the room. She grabbed the bottle, and as I walked out, she followed and slammed the door shut. As I followed her to the office, she slammed the door in my face, and continued throwing things around in her office. She finally gave me the refund receipt, and we left. I'll be holding on to that refund receipt too, because I'm pretty sure they will try to screw me out of getting my money back. Now, we're at Super 8 next door, and I'm pretty glad we ended up coming here. Staff is nice, room is nice, bed is comfy, and the lady from the front desk even brought up extra towels, extra pillows and extra amenities for us because I mentioned how horrible the last motel was.

This place is rundown, full of huge cockroaches, and the staff is rude as well. There were loud fights around 1am, honestly stay out of the whole area in general. The worst place I ever stayed at. I'd rather sleep in my car. Even though it's cheap, the price still isn't worth it.

We booked this hotel merely as a stopping point midway through our drive back home from vacation. For the area we were looking to stop in and considering this was labor day weekend, the price was right. thats as far as anything remotely positive goes. The beds beat sleeping on bare floor but just barely. We asked for extra pillows he gave us 2. Keep in mind we had 2 room, 5 adults, 2 kids, & the hotel was less than 50% booked (based on # cars in lot). Ive never had a hotel that wouldnt supply 2 pillows per person. The tub was dirty in my room, didnt check the other. The rooms had an unpleasant odor that finally subsided after the air ran a while. Overall... yes the room was cheap and you usually get what you pay for... pay a little more and get something somewhere else.

Had one significant bad experience here that should be noted: At about 10am the manager/owner of the motel burst into the room without knocking. Then just shut the door. No apology, nothing. (Okay I guess the owner's English skills were probably not very good, but he should at least know the word, 'Sorry'.) This is really unforgivable behavior in any hotel. Fortunately everybody was dressed but my fiancee could have been in there just getting out of the shower. Hotels have been sued for this kind of thing. Here are the other pluses and minuses at this place: Minuses: Breakfast was meager. Like breakfast at the county jail (not that I would know.) Nothing but waffles and bagels. No cereal. No toast. No pastry. Juice was that fake orange stuff. Coffee but no milk, just 'creamer'. There were also signs saying "Taking of Breakfast will be enforced". (does this mean that you will be forced to take breakfast?) Pluses: -Room itself was better than expected for an independent place: room seemed fairly recently renovated. Carpet, furnishings and fixtures in good condition and clean. -Free snack pack of dried cranberries was provided at the front desk was a nice feature. Summary: Even a decent room doesn't make up for a gross invasion of privacy. I would have given a rating of 'average' or even 'good' it were not for that.
