A friend sent me the name of the place, I saw the reviews here and was a bit hesitant but this place should totally get 5 stars review! We came for 10 days, couple with two children. the rooms are very big, very private, the staff is amazing, the food is great.. the beach is a few steps away.. what else can you ask for?

Spacious cottages, but niggling oversights...there are too many dogs on the property and will keep you up with their barking and also hang around in the dinning area, woefully inadequate car parking , breakfast choice is really limited but the staff does try and accommodate you. Mr. Santosh the manager is also helpful, and the shack next door with the free pool makes staying here worthwhile

· To start with 1. Breakfast : hotel says free breakfast but trust me its their Alms to us. Just one item you can order that also from their menu. Seriously for the money we pay its utter non sense. 2. Rooms : rustic as seen in photos but not that private, wood walls that vibrate with the A/C turned on. Doors don’t have locks. Cupboard in the room is a waste of space. 3. Bathroom: doors are from the 16th century with no closure. So are the walls of the washroom, practically see through between the gaps..be careful with the shower area its a ditch in the room with sharp edges. 4. Beds : not that comfortable 5. Ambience : its green all around but due to the wood walls of the room can hear people talk outside and music from beyond. Practically there is no privacy. 6. Restaurant/ Room service : I was shocked taking a look at the menu, prices are of a five star property. Served in low quality serving dishes, no plates just cutlery.

We spent 4 nights at the Leela cottage very nice place to be The service was top ,the manager Santan was very helpful . Breakfast abondante.we had the D2 cottage we loved ,unfortunately they mentioned that the cottage will be replace by a modern facility ,sorry about that .The charm to be in Ashwen beach is to stay in wooden cabin among the luxuriant nature . Also Leela is less than 5 minutes beach walk to the best restaurant in all a Goa La Plage .

I did enjoy the stay. The property was as expected: right on the beach, lots of green, heritage huts, really well located in walking distance from other properties on Ashwem beach. Did not like noise coming from the next door property ( tone, type of music and timing was a total mess), WiFi signal kept me away from work so I was I was focused on real rest:), I have not been able to take a hot or even warm shower even for once. The breakfast at the main caf ( that offers the meal you are paying when booking BB package) will probably make you go to the other place or to make separate order unless you really love taking Indian breakfast). Everyone is very friendly and helpful but still had to rush them for faster check out at 1am. Still, loved my stay at Leela Cottages. Thanx for hosting and tasty cocktails.

The place is an oasis of quiet in the middle of a hustling, bustling Goa. Will keep coming back! The snacks are great - the meals not the best. Try the Goan thali though. Three a good party down the beach at Station!

Visited this in Nov 2018. I had one of the worst experience in recent times. These are the major issues faced in the property: (1) They do not have a back up generator. The Light would go for an hour or two and they do not bother about it. We kept on calling at reception but no help. They say, it happens in this Area and they can't do anything about it. (2) The Inside restaurant is ugly. They do not care if you have come to take your food. They do not serve you water. They would remain seated with their mobile in hands. They hardly understand your requirements. Customer Service is really poor. Apart from that, The property is too pricy. Its not worth the price you pay for it. You can stay in any 2 star hotel but you should not stay here. They are not worth it. Avoid this resort!

Goa at Leela Cottages proved to be just the right place for our Diwali Holiday. Mumbai with its grey skies gave way to bright blue clear days, the beach is but a stroll away, and Leela Cottages is everything and more than the pictures on the website. A friend who had been there several times suggested Leela. It's USP is it's location, bang on the beach, to add to that, spotlessly clean cottages surrounded by trees with it's aesthetically decorated tasteful furniture and decor, huge bathrooms, the staff who are on the job and go all out , excellent housekeeping, rooms cleaned daily with fresh sheets and towels, courteous staff at room service . A big thank you to the owner Prakash, Raveena and Subramaniam at Reception and Paritosh and who were helpful and prompt with all requests. We booked two Deluxes and were upgraded (free of charge) to two cottages close to the beach. We stayed eight nights and my 14-year old was able to do a six-day surf course with Banana Surf which is a ten-minute walk down the beach. We ate a couple of meals at the resort itself, ordered from the room service menu. Recommended dishes: Chiili Paneer, Dal, Alu Jeera. Elivar, the beachside restaurant at Leela , had a nice selection of food , the avocado Quessadilla was outstanding. The hotel breakfast was simple but after a couple of days one would prefer a bit of variety. And the Wifi in the rooms needs an upgrade. Chetana Prabhu Nov 2018

I stayed there for 2 nights. We booked luxury room - L1. Very Specious and clean. AC was worked properly. No issue. Very Tasty food. Had Prawns, Chinese etc. Very prompt service. Bang On the beach. It was off season so maintenance work is going on. Receptionist lady was very helpful also the staff. They have SPA also. Need to improve breakfast hope may be coming month.

We stayed five nights here and had a lovely relaxing time and were well looked after by the friendly, laid back staff. We paid extra for a sea view villa with a bathtub. The accommodation was fairly basic, with rather tatty lounge furniture, the bathtub was huge and took a long time to fill, using up all the hot water supply fairly quickly. On reflection the beach huts looked perfectly adequate and the bathtub was only used once (it was my fella who had insisted on having a room with a bath!) Despite the slightly disappointing standard of the room we had a lovely relaxing stay at Leela. The garden walkways were very pleasant and well maintained on a regular basis. The staff were laid back whilst maintaining a high level of service. A free Wi-Fi router was provided to us as there was limited connection to the main modem. We asked about hammocks (it was just before the season so they hadn't been strung up yet) and the next day brand new hammocks appeared for us to use. The food was excellent and served quickly. My favourite quickly became the crispy chilli paneer...who knew paneer could taste so good?! And the masala omelette for breakfast was delicious. On our departure day we had a long journey to the airport and a pot of warm food was given to us for the journey - we hadn't even asked for it and was a really lovely gesture. Even the local beach dogs were friendly! Am not generally a doggy person, but these guys were very cute and didn't bother or pester us at all, would just wander alongside us wherever we walked and then would chill out by our sun lounger. Was like having a personal security guard! Overall I would definitely recommend Leela for a laid back stay by a lovely stretch of beach.
