This place exceeded all my expectations! The food was amazing and the staff attentive. I was surprised that they would let you dine where ever you chose. Many pockets of beautiful places in resort to escape and retreat. pools and hot tubs spread all over property. Spa services top notch. Can't wait to return!
We spent the weekend and had a Temazcal with Andrés, the shaman. Amazing experience, amazing place, and service from all the staff. If you are seeking NATURE, and Peace of mind I recommend. It´s a not a party place, it´s a place to relax and go within.
Very weird experience. I was trying to make a reservation for their Tlama Grand Suite. But after two emails I asked how much the total would be and if they might have a discount for three nights. That's when they totally ignored me. I sent out three more emails but they never bothered to answer any of them. Strange for a $250 USD per night room! I'm a very frequent business traveller and have never faced an issue like this before. Mind you I'm also fluent in Spanish, so it's isn't a case of language barrier.
This is a beautifully crafted spa resort hotel outside of the small town with fields of grazing horses and cattle on either side. The spa offers several unique treatments and the facial and massage was good. Some therapists are better than others. Most of the staff are very accommodating and friendly; however don't expect the staff to necessarily speak English. They make super smoothies and have a pretty endless cool pool as well as a heated pool. I guess it can get cool in winter. The mid-range suites are very comfortable but they only offer wi-fi and mobile signal for your cellphone in one location, Try the labyrinth guided meditation walk with your eyes closed. Great attention to detail with holistic spiritual statues sprinkled around each area with its own character. There's no gym. Incredible views of the mountains in the near distance and lovely colorful landscaping, cobbelstone streets with cows meandering down the hill and fields of horses grazing. Its supposed to be a vortex. The Dalai Lama has blessed this spot.
So ir you're thinking on a get away sorrounded by gorgeous valley to re-connect with You and your loved one, this is the place. Hostal de la Luz offers a variety of peacefull spots within the facilities to practice meditation, read your favourite book ir simply relax. Spoil yourselves with massages at the spa, have dinner or snacks by their 3 different pools (a hot one, a templed one and a cold one) a get a "Temazcal" guided by the shaman. Dishes are targetted on wellness and nutritive stuff, be sure to have some "Chaya" water! Is Delicious! If you'd like to visit Tepoztlan's downtown you'll need a ride or Drive yourselves to it. There You can find local handcrafted ornaments and apparel, You can also visit some bars&restaurants, none the less, bear in mind the purpose of your getaway is to get in touch with your wellness and spirituality, so You won't be missing anything while being inside the hotel for they thought about every need to be fullfilled. Again, DO NOT BE CHEAP on tips or gratuities, remember most of the clerks make their living through taking care of you, and extra money Will mean THE WORLD to them! 10% if service was OK. 15% if service was better than expected. 20% or more if expectations were exceeded.
We were offered a 2 double beds as we were in 4 friends and no more rooms were available. The worst part was, there was no door separating the bathroom area and the room. The shower had a clear window door. So, it was a very unpleasant situation for everybody.
this is the 6th year I have been visiting the spa, this time I wish I hadn't the spa was fantastic the food was good as always but the rooms was a nightmare. We stayed at the Taj suite beatiful room with a king size bed large bathroom terrace and private mini pool the bathroom has a spectacular view of the tepozteco that were it all stops. We arrived the pool-jacuzzi was about 48 degrees impossible to use had to wait for over an hour before getting into it we went to take massage at the spa all well when we came back the room was infested by insects had to leave the room so they could spray it ,next morning one more massage all well came back to it was being cleaned when they left we wanted to go into jacuzzi well what do you know it frozen cold had to call the front desk to get it fixed again wait another hour to be able to use it weather was chilli although the manager was on top of things didn't really helped out much. We went out for dinner that night came back to room they had offered to spray it again and clean it never happens also the bed was not prepared for the night as a matter of fact we never heard from anyone else until we arrived at checkout. well checkout time we got the bill and we got 50 dollar discount on the room rate wow what way to take care of your clients when we asked for the manager he was conveniently not available what else can I say we were offered a voucher for when we go back as if I want so end of a sad stay at the hostal a few more details went wrong but I think you heard enough.
This is the best place in Mexico to relax, connect with yourself, have a great massage, Temazcal, Reiki, delicious food ever! You´ll love the rooms, service, the view. This place is magical. Don`t look for any other place to stay! There´s no better. 100% recommended
This special site have the especially to make yourself stay with your own being. The atmosphere and relaxing people who stay there, have the formula to create the conditions to feel yourself. Give you the opportunity to spend one or two nights there.
This place is tucked away, a few kilometers outside of Tepoztlán. Really beautiful resort with loads of different pools and areas to explore. They have different meditation sessions in the morning and evening, yoga sessions and other activities. Great food in the restaurant, lovely accommodation (minus the shower which took forever to warm up), and very nice treatments. I had the deep massage and a facial. Both really good although my massage was cut short which was a shame as I was really enjoying it. The facial was great, although be warned, at one point they start squeezing your pores with tweezers and it hurts like hell. All in all, a very nice stay there. I only wish I could have stayed longer.
