Hotel was very comfortable the receptionist particularly bright and happy and very helpful and friendly breakfast 1st Class entrance to parking was narrow and a little difficult but parking spaces a good size
Very good hotel ! I recommend for tourists or business trip. The price is very correct for the services and the location. Close to the downtown, easy to park, not noisy, clean, rooms are very pleasant. Breakfast fine, magazines to be readen for free. The restaurant is also good and serves local and daily dishes. Very fresh and not that expensive. If I come back in vannes, it will be in this hotel !
This is the first hotel that I have given a bad review and in my opinion it is justified .on arrival the Car park barrier was down so I went to reception asked for the code.i was abruptly told that it was full and that I should have booked to park,I explained that we were on 3 motorcycles and that we could fit in any area that was not big enough for a car but she said we will have to park in public carp park over the road. I went back to the car park and found a big area next to barrier that was big enough for us but not a car and went back to ask if we could park there and she finally said ok but I think by then she just wanted rid of me lol. Anyway we checked and the room was ok on first impression but soon after we found that there was no toilet roll at all in the bathroom and back down to reception I went and again a very frosty response saying she will sort it. We went out for the evening and the next morning we discovered that the bathroom sink would not drain away as the plug was jammed in.when checking out I said I was not happy with what we had paid for the room and that the cost did not reflect what we got and said that it's unacceptable to give us a room with a broken sink and no toilet roll. The receptionist just shrugged her shoulders and asked what we expected her to do and I suggested that she get the manager.she arrived 10 minutes later and said that we did not have to pay for breakfast and I explained that we did not have breakfast she then said that there is nothing she could do as I had prepaid for the room online.she then had the neck to tell me to pay the room tax which I told her to pay it as I wasn't.she then argued saying I had to pay it which I refused and she then ordered me out of the hotel. I left as instructed. Very rude and uncaring lady if that's what you could call her.
Hotel in walking distance to old town (5 minutes). Spacious room and bathroom. Very clean also. As every Kyriad hotel, they had a kettle with some coffee, decaf coffee, uht milk, black tea and a relaxing tea, a small biscuit and a small bottle of water, and that is something we like a lot in Kyriad hotels! The only thing is that they don't offer free on site parking and it costs around 5 euros/day.
Fairly well situated with friendly staff. Unfortunately my rooms air con failed so had to change rooms to a smaller street level room. Had to keep shutter closed for privacy.Yet i had to pay the same.
The hotel was very busy the day we arrived but the receptionist was excellent. I am sorry I cannot remember her name but she was small, with glasses, short black hair and had loads of smiles and energy. Impressive. While I sat and had a drink I observed her tirelessly help people who randomly came in off the street for directions and sort out rooms in other hotels for weary travellers. A true gem. The small restaurant was very good with tasty food on offer. The girl here also was very good with nothing being too much trouble. Her male counterpart was less welcoming. The breakfast was good also. Rooms were clean and spacious with air con. The car park should be booked in advance. For motorcycles the top half is flat and good for parking on the centrestand. The bottom part is sloping and would not be suitable for either side stand or centrestand.
Parking is behind the hotel with a code for the gate. Dinner was well done with good food and service. Breakfast was OK. BBC World could not be accessed. The internet was intermittent. The toilet seat would not stay up- this is important for males. Most of the staff were good.
Our room was not ready untill one hour after checking time. The room above ours must have being a family room as at 22:00hr the children decided to use the beds as bouncy castles jumping on to the floor. This hotel is not very well soundproofed. On our second day we returned to our room at 16:00hr to find our room was still not made up. So we had no replaced coffee tea provisions. Reception was asked if they could at least provide these which they did. Since we decided to take a rest before going out for the evening we canceled the room make up as we did not want to be disturb. This unfortunately ment that the bathroom had no new cups or towels our mistake. On our first night we booked a meal in the hotels restaurant that was OK but the waiter must smoke and had had a cigarette between serving courses as when he served our second course the smell of tobacco and tobacco smoke was so strong it was off putting. This hotel has signs allover proclaiming it is a none smoking hotel and if caught you would have to pay a fine. The best thing about the hotel is the breakfast and all you can eat buffet, but be early has if you go after 8:30 you will find limited items. The staff in reception always had a smile. We booked this hotel as they were offering discount if paid with no refund the payment was taken imedeateley some five weeks before our reservation date.
A very nice clean hotel ideally situated to walk to old town, but free city bus also available to take you to the sites. Lovely harbour side walks and plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Great stop over on way to Roscoff and the ferry home.
Parking in secure car park €5 per day. The hotel is fairly central being a 5 min walk to the start of the old town. Lovely room on second floor with excellent facilities. So good in fact we have chosen to book a Kyriad hotel in St Malo. The staff very helpful and friendly, breakfast good - croissant, yoghurt, fresh fruit - self service. Extremely pleased with our stay.
