Escale Oceania Vannes

The reception staff were excellent and our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The hotel is situated within a very short walk of the historic centre. Would highly recommend to other visitors to Vanne and the general area.

Stayed with friends for 2 nights while visiting Vannes. We loved everything about this hotel, location great, very smart and bright, friendly staff, reasonable size rooms, spotlessly clean, secure car park and a excellent continental breakfast with bacon and scrambled eggs. Would highly recommend.

No air conditioning , due to it not working. The room was too small, lack of storage. The bathroom again, lack of places to put everything. We like to clear the our things away, so that the cleaners find it easy, not having to move our personal things, The dinner on arrival was bland and tasteless, therefore, we did not eat anything else there.

Very convenient location close to Vannes old town, comfortable bedding and very king cleaning personel. But... The surroundings of the hotel were uninterestingly ugly , and thr room really so small it was not practical for three people ( other Oceania Hotel, for the same price offered much more space).

The Hotel Escale Oceania was nice surprise. We were three couples travelling by car across Brittany, staying in Vannes for just one night. The hotel is located on the northwest side of the old city and is just a few minutes’ walk to the restaurants and shops of the medieval center. The team at the front desk was wonderful, checking us in and delivering our complimentary drinks (rooms booked on the hotel website) from the compact lobby bar just before two buses of tourists arrived and inundated them. We were not able to get advance reservations for parking, but we were directed to a nearby underground garage (we left early on Sunday and our car appeared trapped inside but we found our way in through the car entrance, from there everything was automated). Our rooms were comfortable and clean with adequate room with a nondescript view of the police station. Rooms were less than €75/night. We opted not to the get the breakfast so we could make an early start the next day.

The hotel is modern and cosy, it is well furnished and in a very good position, close to the city centre. Best value for money! The breakfast is rich and most of all, the staff at the reception is really kind. Go for it!

The room was too small for three people, we didn't have much space to move and to put the laggage. The water was in a small room apart. The bathroom was not too large but new and clean. There was a little phon, but powerful. The room was too hot and the air conditioner didn't work well and we had to open the window. We had some problem with the parking becase it was too small and we couldn't park our car, the staff fortunatly gave us a place outside. We read that the breakfast cost 11€, but it was only 8€ for person. The breakfast was ok for the price. The staff was really nice, there was also a guy who could speak italian. The position of the hotel is 10 minutes from the centre.

Nice hotel, good breakfast, quite close to the centre of town (about 5-10 minute walk max) with good, secure parking (however only a few spaces though and extra cost). But air con was broken on a very hot summer's day and the only concession was a free small bottle of water...

A last minute reservation (done online through TripAdvisor) led us to this comfortable hotel conveniently just outside the old city walls. The front desk staff was efficient and accommodating (thanks to them, the parking was easy), and the rooms modern, quiet, and clean albeit a bit spartan. Breakfast offered a broad choice of items which kept everyone satisfied. A request to recommend a good restaurant led to a reservation at one of the gems of our trip to France and Spain. Having just come from a hotel rated four stars (which I would not contest), it strikes me odd that this is "only" a three star. There was no discernible difference in the rooms, facilities, or service and the only difference was a considerably reduced price and slightly larger and more convenient room.

Nice hotel close to centre and quayside restaurants. Wellcoming staff. Room clean and well furnished with comfortable bed. Our 4x4 too high for hotel car park but free overnight parking close by. Good price on Booking.com but this was low season. Vannes an interesting town with lively quayside restaurants.pets welcome but extra charge for this.
