The rooms so far (after few weeks here) look the same but not all are properly maintained. My last stay I didn't have fridge/minibar in my room, the bathroom door was damaged like somebody tried to escape from there being locked in. The cleaning service is excellent but they aren't intended to fix furniture in case it is anyhow damaged so they don't loose any point. The other rooms I had here were OK, but last week was really a surprise. Few rooms on 1st floor have a small terrace which is nice in the evening. Location of the hotel is very close to frequented road so the noise is there but is acceptable with the windows closed. Parking is available paid here at hotel or you can walk some 300-500m and park along the road for free.
Stayed here just for one night on my way to Prauge The room was modern and clean and the staff helpful Its a short walk to the main street and I found the locals very friendly Will definitely stay again if passing
I stayed at Park Inn Ostrava couple of times and always paying with points. It does not require a lot of points and for this price you get descent, clean, modern 4* hotel in a city where there are not many hotel options. It is located a little bit off from the centre but in a quiet neighbourhood. Rooms are spacious and very quiet. Parking is quite expensive and so as breakfast. There should be a better recognition of the gold / concierge membership as the hotel does not give any benefits for being a loyal guest.
I have criticized this hotel in the past for no air conditioning at night and windows that open only slightly. Of course, if they had A/C at night, opening the window would turn it off. Understood. The problem is in hot weather. The rooms are warm, the night air cools enough to prevent the air-conditioner from cooling the rooms. I believe the A/C should always be available if needed by any guest. What has improved or was always great: 1) The Staff. Professional, friendly and effective. Thanks especially to Petra at the front desk. Exceptional woman, plus she made sure our windows were unlocked so we could access cool fresh air. 2) Value. We always go for the upgraded rooms. Nice, large and comfortable. 3) The beds. Really good! 4) The bathroom. Has everything. Great shower, great water pressure. Great Hair dryer. Super clean! 5) TV. High-Def. Great reception and plenty of channels. Czech, German and English (mostly news channels in English) 6) Excellent free Wi-Fi. 7) Breakfast Buffet. Beautiful, sophisticated display, delicious, with great coffee, wide variety, and very convenient self-serve. The serving tongs are like surgical instruments... they pick up the food perfectly, every time. No lifting heavy lids with nowhere to place them and fumbling forceps that fail to grasp! This is one of the most appealing and usable buffets we have seen anywhere. Great job management and staff! 7) Parking. Right in front. Always a spot. Gaited entrance. Free. What has not: 1) Smokers. They are still smoking in the rooms despite a global "No Smoking Policy". The hotel warns of a significant fine, but I don't think they enforce it. The draperies, at every stay (I believe this is our 4th or 5th visit) always smell from cigarette smoke! What might help. Encourage housekeeping to report smoked-in rooms to management immediately. Fine the offenders. Use the money to dry clean the draperies. This time, staff sprayed the draperies to freshen them, and unlocked the windows for us to open wide. We then had plenty of cool fresh air all night. That saved the visit as we could sleep in comfort... cool and no odor of smoke. Many thanks to a wonderful staff and management!
The hotel is very nice and perfect for business trip, I liked how they thought about the details of making your stay as pleasant as possible. The room is big and cozy and the price is very reasonable for the quality.
Very clean, modern, large rooms. Pricey for Ostrava. The check-in / check-out are seamless. Amenities in the room are average. This is a true business hotel. We can recommend for a business stay, but don't expect any charm. Restaurant is ok too.
A return visit to the Park Inn for business at the offices next door and again, it was an enjoyable three nights. Reception is always friendly and the room was of a good standard, nice and clean, and quiet. The breakfast buffet is good here with a selection of healthier options, nice to see. The restaurant is of a high standard for evening meals too, though is quite expensive for this part of the world. Overall, this is a good choice for business travellers to Ostrava, conveniently located and walkable to the city centre.
I came to Ostrava for the European Figure Skating championships and booked Park Inn Radisson for its proximity to the Arena and the amenities at the hotel. The hotel and all the staff were completely ready for the international guests and were charming and obliging to everyone. Breakfast was superb with fresh food running all the time. The room was enormous and the items in the bathroom for guests use very convenient and thoughtful. I probably would not return to Ostrava for any reason other than another figureskating competition but anyone visiting for business purposes should stay at the Park Inn Radisson.
Stayed here for one night and must say I was very satisfied with my stay. The property is of very high standard and the staff is very friendly and service minded. Somewhat out of the center but buses runs outside quite often and will take you into the city center in just a few minutes. Breakfast was also very nice. Will easily stay here again on my next visit to Ostrava.
