I stayed here when I worked for a week at the Montpellier Business School. it was basically a place to sleep so I did not need the kitchen and tv room. As always breakfast is good in France, so also here. Service is ok. About costs I do not know as the employer paid for the stay. The only strange thing is that no one cleaned the rooms when I was there.
Very close to many restaurants, bars and shopping. The station of tram 1 is 10 meters from the front door! The breakfast is very good too and you can pay at the end of the trip. The rooms are very clean and has many space for four adults.
The hotel is well-situated, on the edge of the quartier Antigone, immediately opposite the Leon Blum stop on the line one tramway (Mosson-Odysseum), and about a 10-minute walk from the Place de la Comedie. As with most Citadines apart-hotels, this one features relatively large rooms with fully-equipped kitchenette. The continental breakfast service offers a good selection of cereals, pastries, breads, cheese and cold cuts. In order to have a quiet stay, it is best to ask for a room that does not overlook the tram line. Staff at the hotel were helpful and accommodating.
We stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe apartment for a family of 4.It was spacious modern clean and centrally located. There was a separate bedroom and a living area with sofa bed dining table, tv and kitchenette. The sofa bed opens out into a comfy double bed.The kitchen was equipped with everything : crockery, pans, cutlery , a toaster, hob, kettle ,fridge and even a dishwasher. There was a balcony opening to the front :this was the only downside as it was noisy at night as the trams were running outside till late -it would be advisable to ask for a room facing the gardens at the back.In the lounge there was a free coffee and tea machine -handy after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel was 5 mins walk to the airport shuttle stop (place de europe)-This takes you to the airport in 15 mins and runs every hour.10mins walk away is a large shopping complex -Polygone which opens onto the main square -la Place Comedie with all the old district shops and bars .So everything is walking distance .Will definitely recommend !
Citadines Antigone Montpellier is located in a brilliant part of town close to the old village; for this reason alone we booked this establishment. We booked an apartment for four adults and the unit quiet possible the smallest we have experienced on our holidays in France. The fold out sofa is very comfortable. Check the fine print of your booking, if you use the hotel parking, you will be charged; and if you have a medium to large car, the parking will be difficult as the car spaces and access challenging. The complex offers a laundry but you will have to pay for it. For four adults, the apartments are simply too small. Another case of an apartment complex cramming too many rooms into a floor plan.
The location is great there are restaurants just around the corner and a shopping center in less than 8 min walk. The staff was welcoming and the room really nice (even though a bit cold). I'd recommend to anyone visiting Montpellier, for a long or short stay.
This is a really lovely hotel, the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The room looked new, very clean, the rooms are exactly what you see in the photos. The hotel is a convenient and very nice 15-minute walk from the train station and a 10-minute walk to the town center. However, catching an early train decided to catch a taxi to the train station. Avoid this if you can as taxis are very expensive in Montpellier, they have to do a loop because of the trams and one-way streets, plus you have to pay extra for luggage. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I didn't have to catch a taxi.
We stayed here in a studio apartment at Citadines Antigone Montpellier for a rugby match at Stade Yves-du-Manoir, which is about 2.5 miles away. The location is pretty as it is situated on a tree lined boulevard in the Antigone complex; there is a tram stop outside which takes you to all the main areas in Montpellier, like Place de la Comédie and the shopping centre, Polygone. Both one and two-bedroom accommodation are available, as well as studios. Breakfast was a bit forgettable in a rather cramped dining area. The rooms were bright, pleasant, quiet and included cooking utensils, fridge, microwave, bed linen, and everything necessary, including rapid WiFi. The area around the hotel seems upscale and safe – we bought food and presents directly across the road. It was a good base for an enjoyable rugby, and close to the railway station. We took the shuttle from the airport to Montpellier; it stopped one tram stop from apartment, but only ran every 60 minutes. Overall, good value for money and a great experience.
We stayed there for 3 days and it was perfect. The apartment was confortable and large enough for six 6 people, it was very clean and very quite. The location is great, within walking distance to La Comedie and with the tram stop just in front.
Stayed here when over for rugby two nights . This is ideal close to everything our apartment had all you needed to self cater if that’s what you want, nice size an clean plus had balcony hot shower would definitely recommend and use again if returned.
