Location was good but the hotel was a bit rundown. Rooms were small with just the beds, a tv and a chest with mirror. The tv was technically blocking the mirror. Water was barely warm and there were stray dogs in the property all the time. For the money we paid we expected a better room with ameneties..
Water stopped while I was showering so I had to go down stairs to tell maintainer because there were no phones in hotel room.
Everything was okay. Fine. Except for the mattresses. Very hard and not a good night of sleep.
Nice clean hotel about a 10 minute stroll from downtown for dinning and other needs. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast was a plus. Staff was helpful in confirming our rides to a couple of tours as we didn't have a car and needed door to door service. They had no problem lending me a knife and corkscrew so that I could prepare the mangos and wine purchased in town. Wish they had a pool as when not on tour, down time in Costa Rica isn't easily filled by inexpensive hikes or local diversions.
