A good hotel but nothing fancy. Check in staff not extremely helpful or knowledgeable. Room had the "near the ocean" smell. Tiny bathroom

Overall a great hotel-- Ryan at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. It's a great place to stay if you're looking to get away from the tourists at the Boardwalk. There are many other great state beaches nearby...plenty of restaurants that are cheaper and have better quality around this hotel! The only issue is that the walls are thin and you can hear everything going on in the hallway; but other than that, the breakfast, cleanliness, and service surpassed my expectations!

Clean rooms, excellent decor and amenities. Used the hotel laundry facilities which were just what was needed. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Very nice and clean. Bed sounded broken and was very loud getting in and out of bed but overall a nice hotel for the money.

Very good bed. Bathroom and shower extremely small. Quiet, good breakfast

The bed was very comfortable and the rest of the room was clean but ordinary. The shower was very small so that the shower curtain stuck to you while you were in there. The decor was pretty nice and the rose theme worked.

I was in town on business for one night, and the location of the Hotel to my business was perfect, the staff was very friendly, the continental breakfast was o.k. The T.V. lacked channels, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the curtains were pulled back in such a way that I did not see them until the morning.

Nice little motel with everything you need. Rooms are spacious and represent the feel of the area. However even w the windows shut it is loud. They do have a strict 10 pm quiet time but there were still stragglers that came in late. It was a good deal and right on my way to Santa Cruz

This hotel is great! The location doesn't seem to be safe. But the hotel itself is good.

Service and breakfast were good. Workers were friendly and the hotel was nice. The pool was also nice and wasn't crowded when we went down to swim. It was worth the price, and way cheaper than staying in Santa Cruz.

I attended a gardening workshop in Santa Cruz and needed a cost-friendly hotel. The ones in Santa Cruz were too expensive and this hotel was very close and far more affordable. Fantastic room - great decor and amenities. Wonderful staff - I highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was just right. Not too pricy, clean, attentive staff, fast easy wifi, nice breakfast selection. Upon arrival, my parents room was not booked handicapped accessible as requested, but they were able to change the room without hassle. Enjoyable experience overall.

We chose the Rose Garden Suites because it was convenient but we would return because of the hospitality. The room was cleaned promptly and thoroughly and everyone was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was much better than the usual offerings. Our room was quiet and we took advantage of the pool and hot tub. All in all, it was an excellent experience.

Great place to stay in Watsonville! High speed internet, nice accommodations, reasonably priced and conveniently located close to town and easy access to Highway. Very nice staff.

We were delighted with our stay. The place was immaculate, and the breakfast had good choices: make your own waffles, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins, toasts, yogurts, juices, coffee, fruit - a nice selection, more than the standard continental breakfast. The grounds were lovely, roses and other plants in full bloom, carefully cared for pool and spa and everything was so very clean. The kitchenette unit we had was handy, though it didn't have any pots/pans or dishes. I imagine you need to ask for those or bring your own. We were only there for one night, so didn't need it. Staff was helpful. I'd definitely stay again.

First of all, this property was beautifully maintained, despite being an older property. It is well located between Monterey and Santa Cruz, making trips to both locations, as well as surrounding recreational areas, relatively effortless. Unfortunately for me (or any other guest), Best Western has a policy of allowing employees to also stay at properties. On the surface, that is a really, really nice benefit to employees and I applaud that nobleness. In practice, when your employees party (loudly, drunkenly, until the wee hours), one seriously begins to question whether or not Best Western is the best, or most optimal, choice, whether it be for pleasure and most CERTAINLY for business. I know that in the future, I will seriously re-consider ever staying at any Best Western after this experience. I was kept up until nearly 1 am with just that 'type' of employee guest staying in the room next to mine #and I'm sure that had I not complained twice that the loud activity would have continued further#. At 11:30 am, when I could NOT get through to the front desk via phone #another big concern#, I walked down to speak personally with the front desk clerk. When I told the clerk of my issue, his response was that shouldn't be because the adjoining room had a Best Western employee staying there and that they should know better. He said he would notify the room's occupant to stop. I do not know what transpired after that other than to say the activity INCREASED. At 12:30 am, I called the front desk via my cell phone to inform the clerk #who now was another person due to shift change# of the problems. This individual did come over to the room to discuss directly with the room's occupant of their disruptive behavior. Finally, the activity stopped. Oh, let me re-iterate the activity: loud music, singing, children crying #yes, at 12:30 am#, loud voices talking, puking #yes, puking#, door opening and slamming #yes, SLAMMING# every 3-5 minutes #my gut feeling sensed drug dealing, or some other illicit activity, due to the countless times the door opened and closed with multiple people#. Not a restful stay, in the least. I have communicated my concerns directly with the property's manager and will follow-up with Best Western Corporate. This situation is not the fault of this property's Manager #the employee was from another property who's manager approved the employee's stay#. In the future, BW should emphatically stress that IF an employee is allowed to stay at a property, that it should be in a room that is no way within proximity of a paying guest, along with employment consequences if an employee guest exhibits such behavior. #Having been a former employee of a very large Hotel/Casino chain, I know that there are heavy restrictions upon employees staying on or even venturing into the Hotel section of the property most likely for the avoidance of this situation; in fact, employees would be FIRED on the spot for such behavior#. If not for the above experience, I would have rated this property higher. Value and comfort adversely impacted because the 2nd night stay was miserable due to poor corporate policy.

Everything was VERY clean especially the breakfast area. You really don't have much choice in Watsonville by the looks of other places, this may be the best place in town. Ask for a room upstairs, there are only two levels. I was on the ground floor and squeaking floor, and water sounds from upstairs were a little annoying. Staff was great!!

Hotel was a decent place to stay for the price. Hotel was in a good location, quiet area. Only 15 miles away from Santa Cruz, not to difficult to get to different points of interest.

Stayed a night at Best Western Plus Rose Garden Inn. It is less than 10 min away from 1 hwy which is not bad. Room is very comfortable and clean. I found myself actually like its garden-style decor than expected. I also like they have boiled eggs for breakfast instead of not-too-fresh scrambled eggs.

We arrived around 4:30 pm and checked in without a glitch. The room was small but clean. The continental breakfast was great with quite a variety of things to choose. Staff was friendly and efficient. The only minus was it was off the Main Street and quite noisey with sirens blasting. I would however recommend this hotel because price was reasonable and clean.
