This hotel was beautiful. I love how friendly the staff members are. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was great. The oxtails are my favorite they just need to cook them to where they fall off the bone. Entertainment is limited but great. We need more karaoke on the weekends. Rooms were very clean

When I arrived at Moon Palace, it felt like the start of a great relationship. You know charming, promising, saying all the right things. The food was surprisingly good for a mass-production buffet, and the Asian restaurant with the hibachi grill was a highlight. Chef Lemor was a class act. My kids loved the arcade and activities; everything felt easy and enjoyable. But like some relationships, it turned at the end. At checkout, we were told we could still enjoy some amenities before leaving. But once our wristbands were cut, the warmth disappeared. I went to grab a quick bite at the pizza bar and was met with, “Have you checked out yet? Then you can’t eat here. Only the buffet.” No empathy, no “sorry for the confusion,” just a blank stare as other guests looked on. It wasn’t the rule itself, it was the tone. The sudden shift from valued guest to outsider. It’s like telling someone, “I need a break, not a breakup,” and they instantly turn cold. Rules are fine, but communication and kindness matter too. I gathered my kids, took our quiet walk of shame, and thought, I like my own house anyway. Moon Palace, you had me at hello… but you lost me at checkout.

We are very dissatisfied with our stay. We were constantly bombarded by staff walking through the lobby for every reason imaginable. “What’s your room number, do you have this, have you booked this.” We started avoiding the lobby walking anywhere. The resort credit is very specific it can only be used on sunglasses and sun hats. When we arrived, we are on our honeymoon, got into our room, and were getting re”acquainted”. 1st knock- we forgot to but this bag in the room, tried again, 2nd knock, we forgot to put your wine in the room, 3rd knock, this one they took it upon themselves to just walk into the room- not kidding, they just came right in. 4th they came in with a chocolate peanut crunch bar. What should be noted is- when I came in I shared my allergies with 3 people to note it our room etc. I am highly allergic. My husband had a bite. And put it away as he can’t eat it around me. Honestly. Being constantly asked to spend money on everything. And all the hassle. It’s not worth it. Go to anywhere else. I have sent an email, stating all this and more, that has still not been address Also. Going to meet with the membership people(yep we got sucked into the membership) we get a free gift for going- it’s not worth it. Just say no. It’s one more thing on this property they want you to spend money on. Don’t go.

Wonderful experience. The VIP benefits was welcoming. I would say this was my first real experience as a VIP. This hotel is a cut above the rest and we will definitely love to return.

I love this property and will always go back. The food is excellent. Parking can be a bother when the hotel is full. No microwaves in the room. But all in all I would recommend Moon Palace for your next vacation

Our stay at Moon Palace Jamaica was short but absolutely sweet. The property is beautiful and luxuriously designed, while still being family-friendly. The resort is expansive and offers many activities and dining options. We appreciated the warm staff and VIP perks. Although we were there for a family wedding, I would love to take full advantage of the amenities when we stay longer next time.

Overall the place is nice. You get what you pay for in a good way. When we travel ocean view is a must and it never disappointed at Moon Palace. The food was also pretty good. You have a wide variety of authentic Jamaican dishes. The beach was clean and you felt like you have a peace of the beach to yourself. Most staff were great but there were some that I truly had to question whether or not they were actually trying to help me. Some things took much longer than expected. For instance, room changing took extremely long and staff were less than excited to answer my questions about its progress. In fact they hung up the phone on me. Despite this, we had a great time at the hotel and would absolutely return in the future.
