Lovely Inn in New Brunswick

Parking was good. Restaurant for breakfast was very nice, atmosphere was super-a bit slow for service, but food was simple and freshly made. Our room was very comfortable and clean.

This dated but charming inn allowed us to bring our Golden Retriever. We appreciated that. We had an excellent breakfast and we enjoyed the garden. Honestly, though, these historic buildings have seen better days. Personally, all the antique dolls put me off a bit. Nice staff.

Nobody was at the counter when we tried to register. Then the owners were away so the dining room would not be open. The room was nice. Breakfast at 8? Nobody was there then the young man that checked us all in said he could not see the owners car so not sure what was going on. Breakfast did happen at a very slow and disorganized pace. Food was ok but the french toast was very dry.

Third time staying hereā€¦ and still, the service is none. The older man at the front has zero service skills or customer service etiquette. He leaves u to fend for yourself. No direction or information about the hotel, the restaurant or the town. Heā€™s like a one man show trying to do it all, leaving you standing there ignored a lot of the time. The restaurant canā€™t even be found onlineā€¦ so not sure if I should eat here.??? And they donā€™t sell it or suggest it! Itā€™s Always empty. This place could be so much moreā€¦ so much potential. Too bad, but itā€™s the only place in town. Decent prices though.

This is an older Inn. It is very unique. Set in a residential area. We enjoyed it's charm. The staff were excellent and the room was comfy. The small town is 2 blocks away and is great for shopping and eating.

Nice hotel, quite dated but was very clean. Great dinner in the restaurant. Room was small, a bit cramped, with minimal extras. No coffee maker in the room and dolls all over the place, kinda creepy. Cleaning staff was exceptional, very accommodating.

Older Inn with a lot of history and character. Just a couple minute walk from downtown bars and restaurants. The inn may not have all the modern conveniences, but has plenty of history, character and antiques. Every room feels like a a museum display. Quite the experience.

This a beautiful old inn with so much history. Owners and staff were so nice and the service wonderful. Though breakfast was not included with our stay it is available in their dining room. If you like history and character, I would definitely recommend this Inn.

Marshlands Inn, a beautifully restored mansion, is opulent and pet friendly. The location was awesome, walking distance to Sackville Fowl Reserve. I would stay there again! Thank you Jason for being ā€œthe host with the mostā€!

This place is a jewel. Dating back to 1850. Period opulence. Rooms very individual. No pool or kids area but for people who want experience nostalgia. The queen mum along with queen Elisabeth ll. Have stayed here. Price was very very reasonable through Expedia.

Itā€™s close to downtown Sackville and the Mount Allison campus, so the location is perfect and really lovely. Staff were nice, though spread pretty thin. Not sure who did the cooking in the dining room. If you love antiques and a truly historic atmosphere, youā€™ll enjoy it here. Just note: there are quite a few decorative dolls around, so if that gives you nightmares, keep it in mind! For the price point, some updates would make a big difference: ā€¢ Address what appears to be roof leaks and any mold remediation (smells bad and other reviewers commented on asthma flare-ups). ā€¢ Replace old, separate hot/cold taps with modern, functional faucets and showers (who takes baths anymore?!?). ā€¢ Add a simple coffee station for guests preferably in rooms - make space by tossing out all the knick knacks. ā€¢ Remove fragile dĆ©cor, old smelly books, dust collectors, and especially the DOLLS. ā€¢ Swap out heavy, dusty coverlets and shams for washable duvet covers. ā€¢ Deep clean thoroughly and update window coverings. ā€¢ Gut and refresh bathrooms while keeping the historic charm. The antique furniture is beautiful and worth saving, but most of the soft furnishings and extras need to goā€”or be burned. Beds are pretty comfy though! In its current state, I would not stay here again if there are options between Moncton and Amherst.

Fabulous place to stay. Everyone is so helpful and the place is so well run. So quaint and peaceful and lovely garden with ample parking. So accessable to Mt Allison university. Really pleased with the overall experience and how accommodating they were.
