Horrible! Overpriced and dirty. Found chocolate bar wrappers, dust, garbage under both beds. Tampon under stand by bed. Dirty shade full of cobwebs over table. Had to go chase them for clean towels and to take out garbage. When someone finally came I was outside and he said what do you need. Never even went in to see. Should have come cleaned bathroom at very least after a 4 day stay. Save your money..go elsewhere!!
Stayed here before loved it but this time not so much, seemed like it was under new ownership or management and you could tell, just soap and shampoo in the bathroom no other amenities, the pool was freezing usually it's warm , the breakfast was very minimal in choices plus tables were filthy had to clean my own to be able to sit and eat, fridge in room was filthy too nothing too big but small things matter too.
I asked to speak to manager, he said manager wasn't there, so I asked if he could call the manager so he could call me back, he said manager on vacation. Then I asked who I had to talk to file a complaint, he said "me". I asked him his name and je said he couldn't give it to me because of "honour". I said, you can't give me your name because of honour because of your religion?, and he said "yes". I have the manager's name, Mehulkumar Thakur...but I was not able to speak with him. If anybody could reply to this comment, it would be greatly appreciated.
we have been booked at this hotel for an annual carshow the moncton nationals for at least 10 years .the first weekend in july. the cleanliness of this motel has reached an all time low.it was so dirty and stinky that i washed all we had to touch used my own plastic shower curtain ,and tried to get the old carpet that smells like urine smell out of room.not possible.we are creatures of habit and dont like change so it was not minor for us to cancel this year and stay elsewhere. i am in the process of trying to cancel and await an email.the person answering the phone i cannot understand the accent.i had to call the customer service to get the email for this property.i would suggest if you are looking for a room you look elsewhere because you will not be happy with this place.our main concern was the room itself the pool is also disgusting and we have never used it because of that the breakfast was bread and apples yogurt cereal. not a good deal at all. also the price is raised for this weekend. the place should not even qualify for a franchise because of the dirt. this has a great location for the super cruise night and used to be very clean.before new owners . very disappointing.
The gentleman in the room next door got locked out of his room at 230am. He went to the main office, which was locked, and used the outdoor phone to call for help, no one answered. He came back up to try and open a window, we heard and offered our phone. He tried to call the office, no answer, we then called the 1-800 number and the woman could not do anything, even call a locksmith! She suggested he use another hotel!!!! This was almost 4 am at this point and we offered our floor to him as it was -20c outside at that point. The next morning he went to the office and the staff became hostile and never apologized and forced him to pay for his room. Our night was disrupted and so was his. Unreal.
Dirty..Dirty...smelly. Yep...that is crap on the floor. It would seem that this hotel is being used for less than desirable reasons. And...the working staff are less than desirable. I would advise that this place be avoided. I am surprised that Howard Johnson allows their name to be attached to this dump.
I got to hotel early. Room was ready but they were unwilling to let me check in early. Not even 1min without paying extra. Breakfast was slim pickings. Window was open in room when I finally got in and it was very cold. Room stank like just and I was stuffed up all night from the smell. Made my next day very tough because I couldn't sleep from being so stuffed up. And my eyes were swollen the next day.
Rooms were filthy and reeked of cigarette smoke and other odours. The hotel itself was also filthy, board of health should do an inspection. Pool is not heated. Wanted to leave but they would not reimburse us. Worse experience ever. My kids cried and wanted to sleep in the car. A homeless shelter would have been better than this place. :(
My first hotel review ever but this HOJO is truly a dump, dirty walls, dirty bathroom stinky rooms I am ashamed of myself for not looking further but I was too tired to bother...never again. Paint falling from the walls salvation army furniture. Stay away it is a rip off.
This is an economical place to stay with easy access to both highway and downtown Moncton. Was a welcome haven on our trip.
