The picture looks better then it is. Our hotel A/C emit a sour smell when you standing close to it. The tiles on the TV mantel has cracked and missing grout. Bathroom clean enough. No sound insulation between floor and we could hear the guest above us walking and watching tv. It's ok place if there is nothing left in the area.

I had the kitchenette paid and was going there! Dirty cupboards,sinks, drawers, stove top, oven, even outside stove was dirty! The refrigerator, freezer was filthy! I checked the toilet and there was a long hair on the rim! I checked the comforter and it had a long hair on it! So, like you would, I checked the sheets..2 long hairs! Nothing was cleaned possibly for a long time! I do not recommend this hotel! If you gave me all the money in the world to stay there, I say NO! The manager told me" we don't want ppl like you here?" I said: " you want dirty ppl then!" Very rude indeed! Do not go through this like I did! I was in Moncton and didn't know the place but I knew, even thought it was 10 pm I wasn't staying not one minute in such filth! I have pics of this too! Only if you needed to show them, I would but not now! I'll always have those pictures to remind me......Don't go near it for any reason! I did find a wonderful hotel...Days Inn!

Three nights in July. Room was dirty to start with. Maid never cleaned the room. Once left a couple of towels on the bed. Toilet didn't flush properly. When advised the manager had someone drop off a broken plunger!! He told me I put too much paper in the toilet, but it was a test flush. Would have left but Moncton hotels were all booked. DO NOT STAY HERE.

I've never written a review before but this hotel was truly the worst experience for our family. It was dirty and worn down. We had spiders and 2 wasps in our room. The room was cleaned but bed weren't made the next day. The pool was disgustingly dirty and no towels. The breakfast was really lacking with too few tables and options.

THIS WAS THE "HONEYMOON SUITE" THE DIRT WAS UNREAL AT LEAST 6"OF SOAP SCUM AROUND THE TUB, NOSE, CHIN AND LIPS MARKINGS ON THE glass shower, and the mirror was all sprayed from the last guests teeth brushing. A gentleman came in with a cloth and a spray bottle wiped down the tub side and the mirror, we couldn't was the tub as the wipe down didn't clean the jets or properly clean the tub. When I brought this to the manager's attention the next morning when we checked out before 9AM without breakfast (THINKING OF THE DIRTY ROOM SURE DIDNT WANT TO EAT THERE)THE MANAGER WAS RUDE,I WAS LIED TOO,HE WAS UNAPOLOGETIC AND ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO GIVE ME A REFUND even though I never asked for one.. WILL NEVER STAY AT HOWARD JOHNSON MONCTON AGAIN

For the amount of money we spent on three rooms the too.s were not as clean as they should be and the breakfast was poor. No fruit only one type of juice and not a variety of things to choose from. Very disappointing

My family of 5 booked a room here for a night, and noticed a week prior to our trip that our credit card had been charged (not held) for the cost of the room. We called to inquire about the charge, since we hadn't stayed there yet and planned on using a different form of payment. We were yelled at over the phone by the "manager" when inquiring about returning the funds to the card. We were told it was their Policy and if I had of read it at the time of booking I would know that. First of all, we called to make the reservation and nobody informed us of this so called Policy. He then told us we could have the funds and fees returned at the time of checking and could pay using another method of payment. I thanked him and told him we would see him at the time of our reservation. After spend the day at Magic Mountain with the family and kids, we arrived to check in. I spoke with the person at the front desk about the conversation with the manager and the arrangement we had agreed upon. The manage comes out yelling that he had not agreed and would cut me off when I tried to speak to the other employee. The employee put through the refund, so we could pay the other way, and as I finished signing the reservation agreement, the 'Manager' grabbed it from me and CANCELLED our reservation, Stating that "I did not agree with his policy!" At no point in time did I NOT AGREE with their policy (considering I signed the agreement and was still willing to stay), I was simply trying to use another method of payment for our room.

If we had believed the reviews, we would never have booked this hotel. The room wasn't huge, but had a King bed, 40 inch flat screen tv, a fridge, coffee machine, nice lounging chair and foot stool, a desk for laptop use and a small but very bright bathroom. The only drawback was the continental breakfast. It was scheduled to go until 10am, but when we arrived just after 9am, there wasn't much of anything left - 4 slices of bread, 1 bagel, the standard cereal was still there, as well as coffee and yogurt. We ended going elsewhere for breakfast.

Despite being a bit sketchy (guess I could have done better research as to location) I still didn't expect to have a bed that looked slept in. Sand at feet area of sheets, wrinkles in body shape on sheets, hair everywhere... noticed too late at night and headed out early the next morning. Luckily the second bed looked clean.

Not thrilled with the place. If it wasn't for the fact that we were traveling with a pet and had limited pet-friendly options, we would've stayed elsewhere. Although the staff were friendly enough, the first thing that hit us (like a brick!) as we entered the room, was the stench of cigarette smoke despite the sign on the door stating it was a non-smoking room. We didn't dare take our shoes off in the room because the carpets looked dirty and worn. There was a strange box mounted on the top corner of the television that looked like a camera (we also overheard other people talking about this) which was creepy. The place is in terrible need of basic repair, with paint peeling everywhere. Breakfast was as bare as bare could get: a few slices of toast, some yogurt and cereal. We went out for dinner and when we came back, there was a large gathering of men standing in the parking space in front of our room - quite intimidating. Not impressed & certainly wouldn't recommend.
