I stayed at this hotel the 15th of November, while attending a training course. The location was great, being only 5 minutes from the training site. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rate was good. The room itself was large, and very clean. Got a very good night's rest. I would likely request a room on the river side when staying in the future, as the room I had was adjacent to Main street, which has a lot of traffic.
We chose this place because it was right next to a red river that runs backwards. After a day at Hopewell Rocks we could appreciate the physical processes involved and wanted more. From the road it looked really expensive, but in fact cost no more than average and turned out to be a great place to stay. Very welcoming staff understood just what we wanted and answered all our questions. Very comfortable and well furnished room. And a good, hot breakfast in comfortable surroundings next morning. What more could we ask for?
Clean, very good service, comfortable beds. Breakfast could have had a few more healthy options. It was a continental style breakfast included with room but if you really enjoy a nice hot/healthy breakfast at at a less hectic pace then you may want to consider finding a resturant close by.
We got a room with a river view, and really enjoyed watching the movements of the tides. It is a comfortable, if a bit impersonal of a hotel (no particular charm--the ceilings and wall coverings are quite institutional). Nice that the room had a refrigerator. The shower was awesome (pressure and hot water). The best breakfast we've had on the trip, including hot eggs and sausage and bacon and pancakes as well as the usual breads and pastries.
Nice and comfortable hotel, room size excellent. Stayed in a riverview room and watched the tidal bore at midnight - perfect to be able to watch it from the window instead of having to go out! The quality of breakfast was disappointing, but selection was okay.
We stayed in a Traditional Riverview Room on the top floor and found it spacious and very comfortable. Room was very clean and nicely maintained. Free parking is just outside the front entrance on a very busy local street, which is conveniently located across from a gas station, numerous shops, and fast-food restaurants. There is a fantastic boardwalk outside the hotel running along the river, which we walked for a few kilometers, with notable historic landmarks, statues, and plaques along the way. This is truly a great place to stay
The hotel is right on the river. Large room, comfortable beds and a good breakfast included. The only fault was that the towels were very worn. There is a walk along the river and it was interesting to see the tide go in and out.
Unfortunately Motorcycles and automobiles are being permitted to use after market exhaust pipes and staying in a room on the street side makes it a problem. During our stay we were bombarded with street vehicle noises until late in the evening. But the hotel is very nice and offers a primo breakfast for free. Staff is very nice and check in was a very pleasant experience. Can't beat Acadian hospitality.
The Chateau was a terrific place to stay on the edge of the river and on the boardwalk. It is approximately a 10 minute walk to town. The room was huge and immaculate. The bed was comfortable. The staff were well informed and very helpful. A full-buffet breakfast was served each morning and included hot and cold items, pastries, fruit, & juices. I would love to stay here again.
Very lovely hotel on the river. Nice and big room with a large bathroom. Comfortable beds. Handicapped accessible. Good breakfast. Bar open at night. Nice river walk out back. A great place to stay. Plenty of parking.
