I booked 3 rooms as we travelled with family members. Rooms are nice. Location may not be best but grounds are clean and well kept. Some will like the onsite parkade, something quite unique in Menton. We parked in the street which was easy. We booked directly with hotel website rooms with breakfast included. Upon check in we realized that breakfast ended quite early and asked breakfast to be removed which was readily asked by reception staff (they asked that we returned vouchers wich we did). However upon check out we were informed that the rate could not be changed. Manager blamed it on nigh reception staff and did offer to waive any other charge which there was... none... Lesson learned: we will not return as they are many better alternatives in Menton. check out the Riva...
We stayed in this hotel for two nights during the last week of the year. The location is really at walking distance to the shops in pedestrian center, the beach, and the small casino. The room was quiet, spacious, clean and the bathroom had a nice modern shower. Breakfast was quite good and with a sufficient variety of food and beverages. Staff was professional and kind.
It is convenient, it works and it offers half board which is a great bonus in Menton out of season. To have been out all day and find you can have resonable meal in the evening is perfect for us. It is clean, the staff are very helpful and speak good Englishalthough we speak resonab le French. We will go back there again
Lovely welcome by reception. Hotel has no gym no pool but a great sun terrace on the top floor. Very nice to chill with a view of the sea in the horizon. It was myself and my boyfriend. The bed in a double room is too small for 2 grownup men but a large room was very comfortable. The hotel is lovely but a bit dated. The breakfast at 5eur is very good value for money (although it should be normally 15eur). Car park is 14eur extra per day. Overall a very nice stay and a good base to discover the French and Italian Riviera. Big thank you to the receptionist for being really friendly and customer focused at all time! They made the trip for us.
this was our third visit and it just gets better . comfortable rooms good food and great staff , speciallyl Marie on reception and Patricia and Simone in restaurant . we will be back, as the location and the climate are perfect for us.
The hotel itself is even nice and quite clean, in a good position. But we had to pay 8 euro for a phone call (less than half minute phone call actually) that we never made. When we try to explain that it was impossible we did it, a kind of “reception manger” answer to us in an unpleasant and very rude way. I don’t like to go on holiday and pay and be treated in that way. I use to spend some days in Menton at least twice a year and we never go back in this hotel.
The room at this hotel was satisfactory but could use a little TLC, however the bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. I would say this hotel is suitable for long weekends. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant and the continental breakfast was good and the selection was sufficient, however the coffee was diabolical and it could not cope with the number of people staying at the hotel. This hotel is used by coach tour operators.Make sure you get a room at the side or back the noise from the road in the rooms on the front makes a good nights sleep impossible
Pros: very helpful staff; swopped room when one given was too small and dark and did not have a proper safe, so moved to one with a balcony; room was kept very clean Cons: vegetarian meals were a very big problem - it was pasta every night, and once we got parmesan sauce (not veggie) and twice pasta with salmon (fish??!!) so we ended up eating out or in the room more than we did in the restaurant, and ended up losing weight. The chef needs to do a proper veggie course (no fish, meat or cheese as won't be veggie), and vary it from pasta every single night. At least we got our small bar bill dropped to pay for one of the meals out. Basically it was a typical three start hotel, with a vegetarian problem
We stayed here for 3 nights. Firstly, at check in the receptionist (a man) was polite, but in a false manner...anyway, I guess you cannot ask people to be genuinely polite if they don't want to. Room 117 was old, especially the bathroom which had moldy tiles, a rusty window and an unpleasant smell. The double bed is small, but the sheets were clean and the room clean as well. We booked a Special Offer room by using booking.com, at a lower price, so maybe that's why we got an older room, not updated and not renovated. The breakfast was good, nice croissants and breads and good selection of food. Another thing is that we got a voucher for a welcome drink, but it was just for one drink for the room (2 people) and we were limited to kir or orange juice. We didn't even use it, but how much can it cost to give 2 drinks? Seems like you're a cheapskate... Cost reduction or what? Maybe it's better to not give that voucher at all...
This hotel is in a very good location in Menton. It has a car park. It is well-serviced, clean, efficient and all of the staff that we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. My wife and I stayed at The Quality Mediterranee for seven nights and found it to be an excellent base to explore the whole of the French Riviera from the Italian border to St.Tropez.. If you do not have a car It is easy to walk to the bus and train stations which have regular and inexpensive services to other destinations along the coast. The hotel is centrally located with a short stroll to the sea front cafes and bars as well as Menton old town with its restaurants gelataria and crepieries. We have never stayed in a hotel with such a speedy and efficient restaurant service although at no time was there any suggestion that you were being rushed out. The speed of service was perhaps a necessity as the restaurant was rather small for a hotel of this size. The tables were all positioned very close together and it could get overcrowded at times However the hotel does offer an adequate breakfast service from 07:00 to 10:00 with a good selection of juices, cold meats, cereals, bread eggs and pastries..The self service area can get congested if two holiday groups are departing at the same time. Although there was always some fresh fruit available the fruit salad was of the tinned variety. There was no hot food available but this was no hardship for us as there were plenty of alternatives. The lunch and dinner menus offered choices to suit all diets. They were well cooked. However for stays of more than four days the menus could seem a bit repetitive. The lift service in the hotel was quick and efficient. The hotel does not have a swimming pool but it does have a roof top terrace with comfortable sun loungers. However the only bar did not open until 5 o/c in the evening and was not always staffed until reception was alerted Our room overlooked a one way street but it was quiet at night. It had adequate storage space but could have done with more drawer space. The bed was large and comfortable but only had the small square pillows. The bathroom seemed to have an endless supply of very hot water. Our apartment had a TV but the only English language TV channel actually available was provided by France.com .
