This is a former "palace" (really a chateau), which has been converted to a hotel. It is in an isolated location. We called ahead, and they kept the dining room open for almost 1/2 an hour until we arrived!! The staff was extremely helpful. Our room was very large, with a very high ceiling, but was very sparsely and cheaply furnished. The plumbing was bizarre- the room bathroom had two taps, and both delivered very hot water. (I let a glass stand overnight so that I would have room temperature water to drink.) There were loud noises all night, and it appeared to come from the pipes. We weren't able to explore the grounds - they were being renovated at the time, and were closed to exploration. They charged for late checkout. I love staying in former palaces, but this place is a work in progress.
