Great place to stay and enjoy the peacefulness. Incredible and thoughtful staff (Connie and her husband who are managing the property are the nicest people, who obviously love and enjoy what they do), unbelievable views, great like home-made food.
If you like an experience away from the turist attractions then you should definitely go here. It’s a simple but beautiful ranch. The owners and staff are very friendly. We had a nice horseback ride. They have the sweetest dogs that will welcome you ☺️
We really enjoyed our stay! Jorge made sure we had a pleasant stay and the staff was really nice. The unit we had was basic but clean, of a good size and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent (you can choose from 3 options) and we also had dinner there twice (there is nothing around), which was also good and well priced. We enjoyed the walking trails. It was a very relaxing stay. Note that the road to get to the ranch is bad so you need a 4x4. Even though it was remote, it was a great base to visit Rincon de la Vieja. We are very happy with our stay overall.
The surrounding landscape and amenities were great, the dome tent that you can rent is awesome with a great view. The fact that it is far away from the touristy areas and still has ziplining/horseback riding/hiking/dining area make it a very good getaway.

We stayed in the domes and it was an amazing time. Beautiful view, great breakfast, enjoyed all the wildlife in this secluded area.
I enjoyed my stay at Vida Aventura Ranch. If I am back in the area, I would definitely stay there again.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The dome tent was amazing. We only stayed one night but it’s a great little getaway off the beaten path
The property is beautiful and the Dome room was really fun. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We went horseback riding around the ranch which was fantastic. Definitely choose to eat dinner at the ranch. The price is good and food is tasty. I would definitely stay here again.
Everything was really nice and clean, good WiFi, cute dogs, and Connie was very welcoming. We were only not used to the noise of the windmills nearby.
And we really enjoyed the 20-30 minutes walk on the ranch owned trail while sunset.
The breakfast was prepared by a friendly staff. The room was clean. The management is uninterested. The pool is adequate yet shallow. The waterslide is a farce.
We had a wonderful stay at Vida Aventura Ranch. We were the only visitors staying here at the time, which meant we had the pool and jacuzzi to ourselves.
The owner, Jorge, was very kind and we had
We booked our stay here thinking we would be at Rincon de la Vieja, however we ended up not going. The drive into the ranch is a good 30 minutes on gravel
roads, it’s beautiful but rough. We had a 4x4 and still felt it.
The ranch was nice. We booked a dome and it was nice. Different from living in urban areas. At night, it definitely gets dark. Bring playing cards or something to do. Once the sun sets, that’s it. We were the only ones staying, so we had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed the hot tub. The pool temperature was a bit too chilly for us, but they did have a water slide too. Jenny was our chef and she was awesome!
It was a good first stay but I wouldn’t stay again.
Stunning location- you are surrounded by forest and pastures for the horses; very peaceful. The horseback riding is a must do. We rented the family suite and were impressed by the comfort it provided: complete kitchenette, comfortable beds. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, great breakfast, and conversations with Jorge. Him and his team also helped with some car problems. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Jorge made us feel right at home. The ranch is settled in gorgeous countryside. We did the zipline and horseback riding with awesome guides. The kitchen staff made us home cooked meals for an affordable price. Looking forward to staying again on our next trip to Costa Rica!
Something to bear in mind about Vida Aventura ranch is that it is remote. A lovely place to stay if you want to go horse-riding, or want to get away from it all. Once the sun goes down and the restaurant closes, there isn’t anything else nearby.
We stayed in the dome tent and it was amazing! We had a beautiful view when we woke up in the morning. There were showers and a mini fridge available too.
The food at the ranch is amazing! The cook is wonderful. The jacuzi, pool, and animals were also a great add on to a wonderful stay!
