Lodging near Mljet National Park

"This was a very convenient hotel right at the port and only a short walk to the National Park. My only complaint was the flat pillows!"

"The bedroom was spacious and we also had a lovely balcony with views down to the harbour. We were met by our host on arrival and he showed us on a map some places to see in the national park. Due to ferry times, we arrived before the normal check-in time but our room was still ready which was appreciated. The bed was a bit soft but we still managed to sleep well. The window shutters helped to keep it nice and dark too and the air conditioning worked well. The kitchenette was small but well equipped, although we didn't cook that much as the range stocked by the local shop was not that wide! The one downside was the water for showering and washing up which was tepid most of the time. "

"The apartment is located close to the port, so it is easy to get to it upon arrival (we came from Hvar on a ferry). We were met by the host who showed us around and provided advice for time on the island. All in all, we liked our stay and recommend the place for anyone coming to Mjlet to enjoy national parks. One thing to note (not about the apartment or host but island is general). If you want/plan to see central and east parts of the island, you will either need to be in very good shape for long bicycle rides or need to rent a car. Luckily, 2M auto offers car delivery and pickup in Pomena for a reasonable fee, which we found very convenient. This is not a promotion, just something one may find useful."
