I called Mr Pudenz as our flight to Frankfurt was cancelled due to poor weather. He kindly cancelled our room for no charge as a gesture of good will even though we was within the cancellation policy. We greatly appreciated this.
I stayed at the hotel Bad Minden whilst in Germany on business. The hotel is functional and reasonably priced. However the hotel layout (No Lift), means that people of reduced mobility would struggle here. Perhaps they have some ground floor rooms I do not know about. The rooms have Sky TV (always a bonus), are spacious but are in need of some modernisation. Despite putting the radiator on, I could not get the room to warm up. I must say the breakfast was very good. A pleasant waitress made fresh eggs (fried or scrambled) for me.
I stayed at this hotel for two nights during a business trip. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and helpful. There were a few hot items served during the breakfast (including live eggs counter on one the days), which seems like a rarity in Deutschland these days. The hotel building is, however, quite old. I had to climb several flights of stairs to reach my room, which can be difficult for someone travelling with luggage. The hotel is isolated and I had to take a cab to go anywhere.
Very cozy hotel. Even thought that it was close the bigger roads, it was very quiet inside in hotel. Breakfast and fresh made omelet, was perfect start for the day. We loved to be there and felt ourselves bit like home. Dinner in hotel in the evenings was also very good and good and interesting experience was to be and look football game in Biergarden.
The hotel is located a couple of km outside the central part of Minden, connected by one of the main roads. Parking is free. The reception is small, but the rooms are somewhat bigger than normal. The breakfast had a good selection and with a live egg station.
Stayed two nights while on business in the town of Minden. Great food reasonably priced. Rooms spotlessly clean and comfortable. Only issue for me was the true cost of staying in the quote misses out the raft of taxes and charges that apply. I paid for two people (customers) accommodation for two nights plus myself and found the bill a surprisingly high amount. My business credit card maxed out as a result, throwing other plans a bit. Some greater transparency regarding the true cost would be a great help. Hotel itself was very good, staff helpful and all tried hard to deal with our lack of German ! My customers and I were very happy overall.
I stayed here for 3 nights and the stay was very pleasant. The facilities are good for a business traveler. The only complaint was lack of Air Conditioner. It was very warm summer day and I had to keep the windows open, but the noise from vehicles is high since it is close to the ring road. The breakfast and food was generally good.
Just spent 3 nights at this hotel with 7 other friends all ex british forces who were based in Minden in the 1980's . excellant location, very competitive room rates ..very friendly staff and owner, who were polite, friendly and professional, the rooms were a bit dated but very clean and bigger than many other hotels i have stayed at,the hotel provides an excellent breakfast .. ,the highlight of this hotel was its "Biergarten" just what was needed to relax after a long day , I would recommend this hotel to others and would decinately return
Regular Hotel. nice breakfast and simpathetic attendances. cons: it is located a little far from the city's downtown and there's no elevator, so depending on one's luggage it might be a little tough to go up and down.
I had to stay overnight in a closed by hotel for business and found this hotel in the area. On the positive side, the room is big, the hotel is very clean and the staff is helpful. On the other side: There is no elevator and carrying suitcase to the second floor is not fun. The room has no proportions. too big but desk to work is too small. The bathroom is outdated, small TV standing on low cabinet, etc. Poor internet connection. So, if there is no better place, it could be OK.
