I'm ok with staying in older, non-renovated motels. What I'm not ok with is dirty rooms. The bed was a big problem. I turned back the comforter and found a clump of hair. Either the housekeeper lost hair, or the sheets were not changed. I pulled some of them out with some toilet paper. The sheets are worn through virtually. This allowed me to see the pillow's condition through the pillow case. It's yellow and stained, and looks like it's 5 years old. I could not use it even with a pillow case (super thin), because I was disgusted by it. I had to kill a spider in the room, which is not unheard of, but the fact that the door didn't close tightly might have had something to do with it. Wallpaper was peeling in multiple places as well. I expect my hotels to be at least clean and sanitary. If a hotel cannot do that, they need to re-evaluate their priorities and perhaps get out of the business. It was also disappointing because I have stayed at this chain in another city and had good memories of it. Never again. Way too much money for what it was.
My family and I were displaced for a week in between moves. During this time we had a very pleasant stay. The staff is delightfully friendly and courteous!! It met all our needs with the refrigerator and microwave.
This was a basic room at a basic price. I appreciated that the front desk called to ask how the room was, and the staff was efficient and friendly. I only stayed for a night, just needed a bed and shower, and it met my needs just fine.
My adult daughter and I recently stayed here. It's right off the highway so it was convenient but that's about it. It's in need of a facelift. They still use actual keys, not cards, for the door and we struggled to get our door open. You also had to use the key to close your door. There were cobwebs in the window and door frame to the bathroom, piece of a soap wrapper and someone else's hair in the bathtub. The heater is old and is either on or off which doesn't regulate the temperature. In addition, the screen on the window rattled all night in the wind, you could see the outside under the entry door and we had a drunk man knocking on our door at 2 a.m. Definitely didn't feel safe and barely slept. The Best Western is right across the street. Maybe stay there.
clean but older, fine for myself but not if I had my wife along as nothing to do at the inn. bed comfortable and the bathroom was clean. fridge and microwave newer so worked well to sleep and relax. plenty of higher priced motels in the same area but fine for short stay.
For the price. It was fine. Bed was comfy. Room was decent. People seemed nice. Lots of expensive motels around but this place was less then half there price. Killed a few spiders but it's fall and they're coming into my house too. They know what's coming out there just like we do.
So I stayed here back in 2012 I believe and I did a review and suspected I may have gotten scabies here. You may ask why would I ever stay there again. I agree it was a huge risk but since I was not 100% positive this is where I got them from so my wife convinced me to try it again. (I did have a spare sheet & pillow with me just in case I was worried). I will admit I was quite happy with the stay and the room was clean. Not updated but clean. It's been a few months since I stayed there and I'm happy to report that I did not get scabies again. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again if needed.
Economy motel - that being said...Our room was clean, the shower worked well. Big fridge and microwave...It's a place to sleep and relax, no amenities but this is a budget motel so none were expected. Ice machine and coffee in the morning...we enjoyed our stay. I would stay here again...
Value Inn was okay, desk clerk was nice the rooms were okay our room was a little stale and stuffy but, once I turned on the AC it was fine. upon checking the room we found stains in one of the beds. We were so tired the first night we just slept in one bed. We had such a busy schedule since we were the host we had to be up early but upon leaving we informed the desk clerk that the bed had stains in it. He refunded us 20.00 I was going to argue with him because I felt that we should have had a refund at least for one night. I showed the desk clerk the pictures. if you looking for somewhere just to rest your head for 1 or 2 nights yes, but if it's for a longer period of time I would say pay the money and up grade.
Booked online. I got there around midnight. It was just clean enough that I stayed instead of walking out. Room was shabby. Floor creaked and so did the bed. No plug in the sink drain. Ceiling tiles stained. Curtains didn't close. It was cheap and if you're not picky you'll be OK.
