I have been using this place in milan for about 5 years and, after a very expensive refit, it really is now superb. Central station and the Line 1 Metro station called Loreto are very nearby. We often walk to Piazza Duomo which takes about 25 minutes. Those that don’t want to walk can go a few stops on the underground or take Milan’s equivalent of a Boris bike. Staff are very friendly and helpful and there are always supplies of complementary espresso, chilled water and sweet snacks available. Rooms are very modern and well equipped and cleaned to a high standard. Well worth paying a little extra to stay in this residence style hotel.
Its a convenient, clean and comfy place. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The rooms are very spacious, warm and comfortable. Its like staying in a luxury condo. Warm reception area with free coffee, water and snacks. Highly safe location. Very close to the Central railway station (10 minutes walk maximum)
We stayed here for five nights. We were warmly greeted by Pietro who, as other reviewers have remarked, is the most welcoming host. He showed us up to our room, upgraded, as he said we were staying for quite a few nights and would make for a more comfortable stay. And it certainly did. The room was well appointed, good wi-fi, perfect AC, very large comfortable bed, kitchenette with cooker, microwave, fridge, small dining area, lounge area with tv that could be swivelled to accommodate viewing from the bed or the lounge. Free bottled water is certainly very welcome and there are coffee making facilities in the foyer with biscotti/sweets. A slight disappointment as our booking did mention free yoghurts but none was to be seen during our stay. Didn’t really make use of the kitchen facilities as we ate out, but it was nice to have them. Lovely bathroom, no bath but good shower, toilet, bidet and sink with fluffy white towels. Good location as it’s equidistant between Loreto and Caiazzo metro stations. We managed to get ourselves from Linate airport by bus costing us only 1.5 euros each which is cheaper than using a taxi service for around 25 euros. It’s walkable to Corso Buenos Aires which is the main thoroughfare to the Duomo with plenty of shops en route. Would also recommend a little bakery/café called Panificio Caffetteria (see my other review) which is less than 10 minutes’ walk away by Loreto station for your morning cappuccino and pastry.
I stayed at Residenza Delle Citte as a base for the Monza Grand Prix. I highly recommend it for it's close location to Milano Central train station (5 minute walk) and also a 25 minute walk from the Duomo and centre. The rooms are large, clean and adequately decorated (the lobby area is decorated even better) and the rooms have all the amenities needed as well as a kitchenette. One of the best things is the service from Pietro, the manager of the property, he was very friendly and so helpful in giving tips to get around the city and ideas of where to go. Also they have nice little touches like free espresso and biscuits, and free water bottles in the fridge in reception. For the price that you pay it is very good value, with no complaints from me.
The lobby is gorgeous and very funky. So funky, in fact, that many guests relax in it and eat. It is mostly for the young hip crowd but my family felt extremely welcomed. Perks include all the cold water, soda, coffee and tea you can drink. Also unlimited cookies. It is simply great.
Walking distance from the central train station and very close to one of the main shopping streets. Public transport also walking distance, perfect! We were so lucky to get an upgrade: room with private roof terrace. We enjoyed our breakfast in the sunshine and also chilled on the terrace before going to bed at night.
I would love to come back here again! Thanks to Pietro - our most hospitable maitre d'hotel! The room was super comfortable: big bathroom with bidé, great kitchen with everything you need - dishes, microwave, fridge; wonderful bed and most comfortable sofa. Our room even has a terrace - almost as big as the room itself. The design deserves a distinct paragraph- the hall, the rooms and even the building itself hold a unique style, genre and colour set. It was my pleasure to spend 4 nights here. The hotel might say "two stars" - but I am ready to give it all five :)
This hotel is a very short (less than 10 minutes with bags) walk from Milan Centrale (one of the main train stations). It is furnished in a unique style which I liked. Extremely comfortable. The rooms are large so even if you have an extra bed in the room there is plenty of space. Spacious bathrooms. Friendly staff.
My family (my wife, myself and two kids) stayed at Residenza delle Citta for 5 nights at a 55sqm family apartment. The apartment was convenient and clean, with proper AC, Wi-Fi, kitchen and daily house-keeping. The building itself seems brand new and is very clean and well-maintained. The property manager, Pietro, was an excellent host and responded to all our needs and questions with high level of professionalism and courtesy! He was very helpful during our entire stay. The property is about 20 minute drive from the center, but also close to the main highways - so it is a good trade-off if you plan trips outside of Milan. Overall, we were happy with our stay! Thanks Pietro!
Pros: Big new apartment-hotel room Big bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet Minimal kitchen enough to make simple meal Air-conditioner is really good Self-service washer and dryer in the basement is a plus Refrigerator in the lobby with water, soda, creamer and yogurt provided for guests free of charge. Coffee, tea, different kinds of candy also available in the lobby. Pietro, the guy at check-in is very nice, knowledgeable and always ready to help. Close to Milan Centrale - about 10 minute walk. There are 2 elevators. Cons: Refrigerator is small. No hooks for towel near the shower. Hooks and rods are across the room by the door.
