Staying in Bovisa isn’t Option 1, but I wanted to be close to my son studying in Milano for the semester and staying nearby at the new Collegiate Apartments.
Though the door code itself was initially a bit confusing, the website QR code worked flawlessly every time I came back to the unit.
The place is newly renovated and in good/clean shape.
Plenty spacious for just me - but would have been just fine had my wife been able to join.
They were very accommodating by extending my check out by an hour (even though I got back late and was initially locked out). But a quick call got me to someone instantly who helped me with a new entry code. All good.
And compared to other locations I’d either investigated (or unfortunately stayed at days earlier), this is a great value option

Liked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
This is quite a good place to stay. Seems reasonably safe an area. Very convenient if you have work or a meeting at the Polytechnic. Also two good rail stations nearby and places to eat. The apartment we stayed in, room 2, was quite adequate for the stay and had air conditioning, which was very handy in the hot Summer of Jul 2026. Its got table and 2 chairs, a sofa, double bed,TV, fridge and freezer, cooker, plates etc, and a microwave, though you have to get this out of a cupboard and find somewhere to rest it and plug it in. The shower worked fine but leaked under the doors - easily fixed with a towel on the floor just outside the door.
Now a word of warning, if you are not from a generation fluent in smart phones, this apartment may not be for you as they send you an entrance code electronically. There is a you tube video you can watch to see how to gain access, but its never quite as simple as they show. To access our room there is a cylindrical external lock which you need to type 10 digits in. The issue we had, on many occasions, is not the typing in of these 10 numbers, but according to the video you rotate it clockwise after pressing an unlock key. However ours was very hard to turn and if you hands are sweating after a few failed attempts, your hand slips and cannot open the door easily. Also the keys are very small on this cylindrical lock and you want to make sure you don't accidentally press them when gripping and turning the lock else you have to start again.
