Waited almost an hour for check-in to be given rooms with filthy WCs and clothing left by the previous guests. Carpet is dirty. Rooms and bathrooms are very basic and characterless. I can't understand why the rating of this place is that high. The one star is deserved because there is running water and a functional A/C.

Very disappointing stay at this Novotel. Stayed two nights along with my wife and two children. As a Gold member with Accor , I requested an upgrade to another room. Receptionist , called Andrea, told me that the hotel was fully booked and was not possible. Surprisingly, I checked the Accor app and there was an executive room available. I did show it to him and he denied it was available, in a very arrogant and rude manners. To make things worse, shower was blocked and, despite of saying that the hotel was fully booked, we were changed to another room, same category. This case the window was looking to a wall. Air conditioning was not working in our room. The restaurant and bar areas had many insects and several were scratching all the time. I left a complaint when I left, on July 10th, and has no heard anything from the manager yet. They only offered me a white piece of paper. Not sure if this is the official complaint you can make in a Novotel en Italy. I like staying in Novotel as I know what I can expect in the hotels. However this one has been the worst stay I have ever had. Poor customer service and poor stay. Definitely, I do not recommend stay at this hotel.

I have been told by Paul at the reception that I don’t earn point as I didn’t book directly, which is unfair. I accompanied my parents to Milan for a short brake. When I travel I would like to ensure a comfortable bed and good working shower. We checked in at the Novotel Milano Nord Ca'' Granda on the 5th of July 2017 for two nights and we were 3 adults. I realised that there was no tea bags, milk or sugar where the kettle was. Since we were going out of the room I request at the reception these to be filled when we return. I also ask reception if they have a comb as my mum have forgotten her brush, the lady told me that they don’t give out combs. However when the cleaning ladies were near my room I just asked if they have a comb and she kindly gave me one. As per the individual in the reception she has no idea of this which is insufficient. However when we came to the room they haven’t filled anything, therefore I call and ask for them all I got was 2 tea bags bought to my door. In the night I slept in the pull up sofa bed and my parents sleep in the actual bed. My body was aching whole through the night and in the morning I couldn’t move my right shoulder and the arm. I was in severe pain and had to sit down and waited till the morning. Since I had a manual rental car, my dad had to change gears when I was driving as I was in so much pain and I had to take Ibuprofen every 4 hours. In the morning I went to the reception and talk to Paul he said that both the beds got the same mattress, which I didn’t believe. He said that he will try and move us to another room. As we were there only for 2 nights my parents were not keen on moving around. When we came back in the afternoon Paul gave us the room next to us and told that I can sleep in that room. As I was in lot of pain my parents were so adamant that I don’t stay on my own. My parents said that they will sleep in the sofa bed and for me to sleep in the actual bed. After so much arguing I had to do what they ask of me. When they got up they both were in similar pain but it’s there back instead of the shoulder. Very uncomfortable beds and still in pain and have to get lots of pain killers and acupuncture for all three of us to get rid of the pain. Due to this I couldn’t go to work for 3 days (loss of earning). We went to the breakfast around 07:00 in the morning and there was three people serving in the restaurant and when the orange juices run out I ask for more juice it took them at least 10 minutes before I got the juice. All of our dirty plates were stacking on our table as no one was clearing the tables. Most of the food was finishing and no refill was quick enough. Scramble egg had bacon pieces in it and look disgusting. This is not what I expect of a four star hotel. When we are coming out of the restaurant they were bring fruits, pancakes and salads which was not there when we went to the restaurant. Very disappointing as my mum and I had an early checkout due to flying back to UK and had no breakfast on the following morning. Overall hotel experience was very unacceptable and frustrating. Last year when we were in Milan we stayed at Best Western hotel which is 100 times better than Novotel. YOU : our satisfaction commitment: To be very satisfied at Novotel. Stayed at this lovely hotel for few nights, the location is not at the center of attraction but very close to the Milan efficient metro station, welcome and service were great by the professional reception team, breakfast was nice, room and public areas were clean with an amazing Novotel scent. I definitely recommend to stay here!

Myself and my fiancee stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Having arrived at Bergamo/Orio al Serio Airport, we took the 50 minute bus journey to Milan Central Station. From here, the Metro is about 20 minutes further, taking the yellow line (M2) to Zara and the purple line (M5) to Ca' Granda. From there, the hotel is about a 5-minute walk, next the the Ibis and opposite a pharmacy. The first impressions of the hotel were that it was clean, smelt nice and the reception staff were attentive and helpful, explaining the breakfast time and amenities available to us. We stayed in a basic room which is spacious and clean, though could do with a little modernising as it is quite bland. However, as we were only using the hotel as a base we were not too fussed. The breakfast at the hotel is plentiful, serving a full continental style breakfast though the cooked food available is limited. The biggest attraction to the hotel is the pool area, which to my understanding is uncommon for Milanese hotels. The pool is basic but provides a nice area to relax. There is a lifeguard always on duty. My only gripe is that there could be more sunloungers available. The hotel also serves as a meeting centre with a number of conference rooms. In our stay, there were conferences ranging from automotive design through to dentistry! So if you are here on a "romantic" weekend away I would be aware of this. On the whole, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing environment away from the hustle and bustle of Milan.

We spent an afternoon at the pool to celebrate a friend' s birthday and... it was perfect! Great environment and people. Good food and drinks. We really felt at home. A true blessing! The hotel looks really great and the lobby was so welcoming! Highly recommended!

Lack of cleanliness, reception extremely rude, air conditioners not working , horrible experience .service is extremely poor .typical racism we experienced there . Also the bathrooms in our room were unhygienic.There were ridiculous timeslots given for meals like we were in some sort of school

Stayed there in 2017 June 1st week for couple of days. Well I a have a mixed opinion about this hotel. First of all this is too far from Main Milan Airport- Malpensa. Taxi will charge you about 130 Euros which is a surprise factor for me especially when the taxi meter showed only 115 Euros. Rest the staff was also not polite to talk to and a bit rude. Breakfast was elaborate. The don't have an electric kettle in room and moreover they dont even provide water for free which i think other international Novotels provide as far as i know. Metro station was close by to see Milan city and convenient 5 mins walk from the Hotel to the Train station La Granda. Overall It was more of a disappointing experience rather than fun to be there.

We stayed in the hotel for 6 Nights and enjoyed every second of it. Staff was friendly, service was great and the room was spacious and clean. The staff at the breakfast and bar are just great! Friendly and smiling every day. Also tried out the pool which was slightly cold in april, but it was Worth it

The hotel is located ca. 5,5 km from the city center (Duomo), but is very convenient for the ones who travel by car. The building's interior is well kept. The underground parking (garage) is large and has two levels. The price for garage is 15 euros per 24 h, but for short stay is 1 euro per hour. The hotel also has its own open-air parking with capacity of 20 vehicles. Close to the hotel is a metro station of Line 5 (violet) and football fans can reach w/o line changing the San Siro Stadium (of Inter FC and AC Milan). The rooms are modern furnished. But the breakfast could be better - it didn't correspond to the quality of other Novotels in Europe in which I have stayed. The overall relation "price-quality" of room and services is very good and I can recommend the hotel to all who travel to Milan.
