It is simply not to the level expected for a Novotel and even less for a 4-star rating. A few things to illustrate this: - staircase with peeing paint and paint flakes on the carpet during 3 days of my stay - room cleaning is average - not enough plugs in room need to unplug tv to charge my laptop - tea and coffee set with average products and paper cups (real cups and good coffee or Nespresso machine expected when in Italy!) - bathroom flush not working properly, had to change room - bath tub shower sprays water in the bathroom if not extra careful, uncomfortable A very positive review for the reception / concierge. Particularly Yuri who speaks excellent English and French and is helpful, smiling and knowledgeable.
Close to public transportation, able to walk to the metro. Took metro to the Duomo and shopping. Very quiet neighborhood, felt safe. Breakfast buffet amazing, room was very nice. My room had a bathtub which was nice, none of the other hotels that I stayed in Italy had one. I enjoyed it!
We stayed here last summer, good location and great customer service! Swimming pool is fab for children to keep them busy although its quite small. Family room is just right for us and clean. Will stay again if ever will go Milan.
It’s a basic hotel, modest rooms and few extras. Staff has been capable and friendly- Tonya is great at the front desk! She made a great reference for dinner and without hesitation picked up the phone and got us a reservation. Shower is tight but functional. The landing for the shower is very slippery when wet. Very slippery!
I would like to share experience staying at Novotel Milan Nord Ca Granda which took place last Christmas. We arrived at the hotel in late evening on Dec. 24th. We took Malpensa Express train from Milan Malpensa Airport and changed to metro (M5) at Garibaldi FS's station before stopping at Ca' Granda metro station. After reaching the street level, we had to walk a good 500 metres before we arrived at the hotel. The next day, we realized there was an elevator in the station that could take us up and down to/from street level, very convenient in case you carry big luggage. At first, we both were cautious with the surrounding area as it was really quiet. We didn't even see any car on the street and very few people passed by us that evening. But then we realized that it was Christmas' eve where every one prefered to stay home rather than outside that evening. The hotel appeared to be located in the middle of residential area. Once we arrived at the hotel, we proceeded with check-in which was very prompt and efficient. Within 5 minutes of our arrival, we entered our room which was located in 6th floor. Our room was nice, clean and well maintained. We had a good sleep during our 2 nights' stay although the 1st night, we heard sirine either from ambulance cars or police cars going up and down the street few times nearby the hotel but we both were too tired that evening so it didn't really bother both of us. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent. Breakfast spread was good and the food quality was one of the best I had ever encountered in any Novotel Hotel worldwide. Although this hotel is not located right in the city center, it is still good considering that metro station can be reached within 10 minutes on foot. Once you reach Ca' Granda station, you can basically travel everywhere in Milan within 30 minutes or less. Overall, I would strongly recommend this particular hotel to every one who is looking for quality accommodation during their future visit in Milan.
Lovely hotel in a good location, I went with my boy aged 14 to go to an AC milan game. We stayed in the executive room it was worth the little extra we paid. I paid for my breakfast and the room before I arrived breakfast for under 16's is free.To cut a long story short I had a credit card bill to prove I had paid the 62 Euros for the room and 7 euros for my sons and my breakfast, They insisted I had not although I had the statement in front of the lady. I went back when another person was on reception he took time to look and agreed I had paid and said don't worry on check out there is no charge you have paid. We went to breakfast I was presented with now a 14 euro bill from the waiter now they are charging me again and now for an under 16 year old. I showed him my receipt and he said no no see reception, I checked out and they said thank you I went to pay my city tax 5 euros they said no all the bill is settled you have paid. 2 hours later I get an email I have been charged 19 euros on my credit card so I have paid for a city breakfast 3 times and all that stress and hassle I had whilst there made no difference they still over charged me 14 euros through the back door. BE CAREFUL and do not do quick check out because you do not know what they are taking. Now I am home I am having a battle to get a refund from them.
The hotel itself was pretty good, typical Novotel hotel but there was an outdoor pool which is hard to find in Milan. Close to train line but nothing really near by in he way of restaurants or even convenience stores etc. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was good.
We stayed two nights at this hotel. It's a typical novotel. Good value for money. Staff service was very good. Location is in a quiet neighborhood. But a bit farther away from railway station and the city center (Duomo). Metro station is about 5 - 10 mins walk. Some equipment in bathroom look outdated. Wall is not very soundproof. There was big noise (children laughing and playing, etc.) from next room in early morning... It definitely needs some renovation overall.
This hotel filled all of my needs and overcame my expectations during my 5-day-visit in Milan. Firstly, it is a clean and cosy 4star hotel near the city center. The nearest metro station is 5 min. away (walking) and it takes 20-30 min. to Duomo. The room was large enough for 2 persons , fully furnished and carefully cleaned. Excellent room-service, friendly staff and satisfying security. WIFI was fast and the TV had a lot of international channels. The mini bar had the basics and the bathroom was convenient. The breakfast was sooo rich and the service was also flawless. The reception was ready to answer all of my questions and fullfill any of my requests. Seriously, (I've visited a lot of hotels) this Novotel is the BEST value for money I've ever had !!!
Stayed here for two nights in Nov 2017 - had fantastic staff and great customer service. Parking was free which was super handy!! The rooms were not quite as expected. Looked a bit like a prison cell and not like a Novotel. Clean however not as I expected a 4 star Novotel to be..... i would stay here again for the convenience and customer service however not for the rooms....
