We were quite disappointed with the condition of the property. While the bus right outside the property would take you right to the Duomo, the actual property needs to be fixed up. Firstly, the washing mashine had a terrible stink and we were reluctunt to use it, so washed some of the clothes by hand. But then, we had an issue with using the iron. The electricity would go out in the whole appartment when we used it for more than a minute. Same thing would happen with the electric kettle. The process of switching the electricity back on and having it go out would repeat on and on. It was impossible to iron even one piece of clothing or make a cup of tea. We were in shock when it happened as all the lights went out and we were left in the darkness.
The cutlery and dishes needed rewashing and we were too scared to use the dishwasher incase the power would go out again.
One of the balcony shutters wouldn't slide, as they were broken and the other balcony had the aircon, which blew hot air; was impossible to stay there. The dinning room had only one tiny wall light next to the sofas, meaning we had to eat in almost complete darkness. The shower cabin was leaking and would make the floor all wet from one of the corners. This needs immediate fixing. One of the bins had a piece of gum stuck on the lid edge when we arrived and it was not a pleasant smell. The construction works outside the building woke us up at 6.30am during weekdays. These small things made our stay very stressing.
