I had the friendliest staff experience. They’re very kind and helpful. The room is simple, and it’s clean. But it’s not what I would call… updated or modern. But everything works, so no worries! The location is amazing but there’s a stretch of area without sidewalks. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Terrible hotel - don’t stay in summer

Terrible stay NO AIR CONDITIONING at night in summer despite claiming to have it. They shut the A/C every night and room controls result in blowing hot air. Known issue to hotel staff. Don’t stay here.

Highly recommend! This is a wonderful small hotel in an excellent location. It is old and charming, and updated with modern conveniences. Breakfast service was wonderful, staff were extremely hospitable and kind. I was able to check in early even though I had made my reservation at the last minute. Wish I had stayed longer.

Served a purpose although needs some attention.

The hotel is located in an excellent location to the city and a short walk to transport links. However, it's very dated and could do with a lot of loving care and so I would class it as a 2 star. We had a twin room, and it was very small and the road outside had a dodgy manhole cover so every time a vehicle went over it there was clonking thud sound. The shower room had a folding door that didn't shut properly and was fiddly to open and close but the shower itself worked very well. The room only had one electrical socket which was opposite the beds. The included breakfast wasn't great with not a lot of choice although the coffee was very good. Overall, I think the hotel was overpriced for what we got although I suppose location ultimately dictates the price. Lastly, it must be mentioned that the beds were fairly comfy and all the staff we came across were really pleasant.
