Very easy and fast check-in and check-out - no uexpected suprises. The room was rather small but fit the purpose, very clean as well and equipped with AC. My room faced toward the inneryard and was therefore quiet. Unfortunately, the door wasn't very massive so that I could hear the people on the opposite room. Nevertheless, I had a good overnight-stay and would re-book for any future short stay-over in Milano as the rates are reasonable.
Well located and good price. Bedrooms are cold and old fashioned. Ours was on ground floor and our window didn't have views. Blankets were very old and looked like had been used over hundred times. Bathroom didn't have a window and had poor lighting and shower was difficult to use. Hallways were long and very dark. Reception guy came out as a bit rude at the beginning but then he changed and was very kind and helped us.
This hotel is minutes’ walk from Milan central station and is located in a quiet street with a bakery and supermarket nearby. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful and reception was always manned. The room was of a good size and was nice and warm although we got stuck using the air con but were advised how to turn on the heating. Beds comfortable, clean room although there was no toilet roll holder or anywhere to put your toiletries while in the shower but we managed. The hotel has vending machines selling snacks, hot and cold drinks. If returned to Milan would stay here again.
I have stayed in this decent priced hotel many times over the years. It's very simple and the rooms are tiny, but clean. Location between the railway station and Corso Buenos Aires is the best thing. Nice staff too and ok wifi.
Stayed here one night. The staff were friendly but I did notice it was the only place of the six hotels I stayed at on this trip where nobody offered to carry my suitcase up the stairs to my room for me. The bed was quite hard but wasn't uncomfortable and I slept fine, was great to have air-con too. The wifi worked fine, not many plug sockets though so I had to wait 'til the football was over before I could unplug the TV and charge my camera! Everything clean and working properly, great location, a stress-free stay. Would recommend.
The staff was friendly and willing to help. The hotel was pretty close to the main attractions and the Central Station. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom. We expected it worse due to the small amount we paid to stay. Luckily, it exceeded our expectations. The only problem was that we could hear noises from all over the hotel, it wasn't soundproofing.
Hotel Nettuno is a nice budget hotel in Milan, Italy. Fairly close to most places tourists want to go. Metro trains and buses are close and there are many restaurants near by. Rooms are small but not tiny. Adequate en suite bath. No elevator, but when your on a budget that's fine. Very nice staff.
Booking a room at Hotel Nettuno turned out to be a nightmare. We booked through Booking.com, and made sure to read all policies and hotel rules before booking. We got the hotel and checked in fine, but with some hassle: the staff insisted on seeing passports, and did not accept any other form of identification. In the middle of the afternoon, we invited over a friend who lives in Milan. We were then told that this friend was not allowed up into the room for security reasons. We are talking about a well-dressed and totally presentable friend. The staff couldn't give us a reason why, and simple said that we would have to spend time with out friend in the lobby. This was not at all made clear when booking the room, neither was this absurd policy stated on the Policy Disclaimer when booking with Booking.com. The staff ended up being extremely rude, making jokes at the fact that their one policies prohibited us from having a friend up into the room that we had paid for, and the overall experience was absolutely terrible. We would rather sleep in a hostel for 10 people in a room than ever book another stay with Hotel Nettuno. The hotel was run in a completely militaristic way. Upon leaving, you would have to leave the key with the lobby, and pick it up again once re-entering the hotel. To add to the frustration, Wifi was unreliable and very slow.
The hotel location is very amazing, just 2 minutes from the famous Corso Buenos Aires the famous shopping street, Lima metro station is just less than 5 minutes’ walk. Duomo area is just 15 to 20 minutes on foot and 5 minutes by Metro. Central Station is just 10 minutes’ walk. The room is really very clean and in good shape. For sure I will stay there again in case go to Milan anytime.
LOCATION: Hotel Nettuno is located on a street that's not all that vibrant and a bit on the dreary side. It's within 15 minutes from the main train station and close to an underground stop. HOTEL: This small budget hotel is more of the mom & pop variety. There's no lift, in case that's an issue. It wasn't for me. Free WiFi is offered. No breakfast was available. ROOM: The room was on the spartan side, but clean and quiet. The bed mattress was on the hard side and not all that comfortable. The shower was small and offered no place to put anything. Something that frustrated me a bit. On one of the days, there was almost no hot water. SERVICE/STAFF: The desk staff was friendly and helpful, taking care of all my sightseeing needs. Communication was never a problem. The room was kept clean. CONCLUSION: Good for budget conscious travelers who aren't concerned with being in the heart of things. Personally, I couldn't see myself staying here again. Partly because of the area and partly because I want more from a hotel.
