I've spent 5 days in this hotel, this is an awesome compromise between prise and service you get. Hotel is really good located, 10min via metro (wich is 5min walk from hotel) from the city center. Room was cleaned every day by the staff, and we were getting clean towels every day. The only negative thing was really uncomfortable bed but somehow we managed it. Overall I would recommend this hotel as a perfect solution for ppl who wants to rent some cheap place on good location and for ppl who will not spend too much time the hotel.
Hotel was nice and clean. But wouldn't Go back. Due to location & found it hard to find people who spoke English in this area. Also restaurants we went into didn't open till 8pm so we had to go into the city each time. One of the guys in the hotel can't speak English much which is difficult. Was kept up all night with people next room having sex all night. If hotel was in a different location I would go back but it isn't.
I was in Milan on a business trip for 3 nights. Good bed, clean room and toilet/shower. Windows could open but the shutters out to the street could not open. Seems like sound travels easy between rooms, as i had a sound of snorring from at least one room. Not enough to keep me awake. No breakfast available, but i was offered espresso and raspberry tart when i left in the morning. There is no restarant in hotel, but lots and lots of pizzerias around. I would probably go there again if i go back for work. There was kettel and mugs available but no tea or coffea.
Plus: - very good price - less than 5min from Gambara subway station (that is on a direct line yo the Duomo City Center) - nice, quiet neighborhood with a few nice local restaurants nearby - they change the towels and leave toiletry every day - it's open non-stop - personnel seems helpful, but we did not interact with them very often Minus: - the walls are very thin so you can hear everything, but this is true for all old building s in Italy - the room had old furniture, was kinda dusty and had a damp smell of mold but it wasn't so bad that opening the window wouldn't refresh it - it was pretty cold in October, but they had tons of blankets available - the bath was clogged the first day, but I noticed they did fix it the next - they had this electrical water warmer, which would have been helpful if there weren't leftover spaghetti from the previous visitor
My son and I stayed here for 6 nights while attending the Italian grand prix. The area around the hotel is nice and safe, we wandered backnowledge to the hotel late at night on a few occasions. There is a metro stop - gambara - less than 5 minutes away from the hotel, and there is a supermarket right next to it. There is a small friendly bar 2 minutes down the road which does hot snacks. Around the corner are a couple of nice restaurants. The hotel Edy itself is lovely, staff are friendly and welcoming. Not all of them speak English though. They were very helpful and directed us to some nice places to eat. In the mornings we were offered free coffee and sometimes a piece of cake. One morning we were given a voucher for coffee, a pastry, and orange juice at a local cafe. The place is kept clean, fresh towels daily, and beds made or changed. The rooms could do with a freshen up, but are roomy, equipped with a hair dryer, tv, kettle, and a large floor fan which was needed. If I were visiting Milan I would definitely consider staying here again.
Situated very near to a Metro station with a supermarket close at hand. Lacks air conditioning but scrupulously clean and rooms very comfortable. Staff are very helpful and the location is such that all the main sights and attractions of Milan can be easily reached.
We were in Hotel Edy for two nights and we were happily surprised how good the room is, considering the price we were paying. Hotel is near metro station Gambara so you can easily get to the centre of Milano. Stuff was friendly. Wifi was free and worked just great. You will not regret staying at Hotel Edy.
My husband and I spent 4 days 3 nights in Milan and stayed at Hotel Edy. We arrived in the evening and was easily given a room by the receptionist. We had to pay 12 Euros as tax on top of the room rate which at that time was on promo---37 Euros per night. The location is accessible for those who prefer to ride the Metro. Nearest station is Gambara. Commuters like us are advised to buy Metro tickets good for 48 hours. These tickets are available in news agents or machines. A ticket good for 48 hours costs 8,50 Euros. The hotel room is okay for couples. It is clean and the bed are two single beds pulled together. It can be quite uncomfortable for some. Shower, bidet and toilet are all in the same small space. The partition to the shower is a tiny glass enclosure. Hot and cold water are available along with towels, soap and shower gel. Bring your own tooth paste and toothbrush. The room does not have an A/C but an electric fan is provided. Room lights are warm and switches could be loose at times causing the light to flicker. The wifi is free and connection is fast. Passwords are conveniently posted on the door. Television has cable channels with very limited channels offering English audio. There is no breakfast but hotel is situated in areas where there are plenty of food options. A nearby laundromat may also be found. Free room make up is offered along with a daily complimentary coffee (really tastes good) and a slice of cake of the day (they call it torta). On our last day, we checked out and left our luggages for safe keeping before we head to the Centrale. Over-all the experience was pleasant.
We had twin room with en suite, which was definitely value for money. Tthe room came complete with a poem and picture drawn onto the wall and the bathroom w pictures and quotes. We were at the front of the hotel that could become a bit noisy in the early night time. The staff were v helpful and friendly and you felt you were among locals. It was a few easy metro stops from the centre of Milan and had bars and restaurants nearby. I'm very glad we stayed there and would stay again next time.
It was really easy to find and the owners/front desk workers were very nice and helpful. They also had a little dog that we enjoyed petting and playing with! Even though there's technically no breakfast, they'll make you coffee and offer you a slice of whatever pastry they have that morning. The area surrounding the hotel was also wonderful. There were some very affordable cafes near by and a wonderful wine bar. Very quite and safe area too. The only surprise was the shower, sink, and bidet were located inside the room without any walls of sorts. There was a more private bathroom across the hall that we shared with another room; all were very clean and nice, just surprising to see!
