Holiday Inn Milan - Garibaldi Station

The place is very close to Garibaldi subway station, but make sure you have a map with you because you can get easily confused while your trying to fin your way there. The place is comfortable, luxurious, and the personnel very helpful.

5/10 minutes walk from Garibaldi station, tram stops just outside (33,10,4). The room was clean and comfortable. Public areas are well maintained. Price is on average as facilities are. Wi-Fi works well although a bit annoying to log in.

I stayed here for 2 nights during Milan fashion week so paid €215 a night which was very steep for the quality of hotel. Arrival I arrived and was upgraded to a Ladies room - being a gold elite member an upgrade is normally offered. Check in was quite quick but on arrival to my room I discovered no bath so went down to try to change rooms. I was told there was no option to move, despite the other receptionist interrupting and pointing something out. Then went back to the room to discover the room card no longer worked. Not the smoothest of arrival. Room Was basic but what you expect from a holiday inn. For some reason there was an exercise bike in the room. Beds are soft. TV had some English language programmes but not on the channels advertised - in fact you have to flick through 400 channels to find them. Bath room was simple with just a shower (with rubbish pressure). Ladies rooms come equipped with a hairdryer and straighteners. However the things I would have appreciated would be a bath and some hair conditioner. My room over looked the street and with the window open it was very noisy as the tram runs outside. Water was provided in the room but wasn't replenished. Facilities There is an onsite restaurant (one European and one Asian) and a small gym. There is a bar area which is small - glass of wine was €6. The bar staff are also the restaurant staff so took some time to get served. Food Only had the breakfast which was fine. They seemed to have an egg station but the shutters were down when I was there. Checkout On check out I asked for a taxi to Linate. Was told they could arrange their driver for a set fee of €40 or €45 if paying by card. Having paid €35 on the way in I asked them for a normal taxi which cost €25 to the airport. Bit of a cheeky trick on the taxi so be aware.

We stayed their for almost five days in 2016 .... It is well located near main station .... The hotel room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was great ...they have 24 hour reception so we enjoyed our trio their

I staid one week for a study trip in Milan with a group of 40 students. The service is absolutely amazing. The entire staff has been absolutely empathic, helpful and absolutely professional (except for one lady but the rest were champions). The rooms are super clean and beautiful. The only negative point i can notice is the noisy sound of the doors when we unlock them and the lack of soundproofing (we could easily hear the talks in the corridor and sometimes in the other rooms). I still recommend this place ;)

Friendly staff, nice rooms and a very good breakfast buffé. There is also a small gym which is ok. Perfect hotel for a short stay, and very close to Garibaldi Station and the train to Malpensa airport.

I stayed at the hotel from colleges recommendations, I'm guessing he stayed in a much nicer room than me. I was in room 106 which was above the kitchen with the ductwork going past my window which made it very noisy. I could also hear people downstairs and other loud noises. I stay in hotel all the time so get use to noise and always come prepared with ear plugs but they didn't seem to help. On this visit. Also the smell of cigarette smoke kept coming into my room, as a non smoker this wasn't very pleasant. Oh and my shower was broken to top it off. Luckily for me it was a flying visit, when I come back I will book a different hotel

Convenient location tucked behind the Garibaldi train station - if you are staying in this part of town I m guessing that you have a reason for being here. Not close to tourist sites, but the metro links are good. Room was clean and comfortable,I ate a great pizza in the local place just opposite which cost me about 8 euro and was worth double that. Breakfast stoppped serving quite early in the morning, they were good enough to make me a coffee though. Check out was slow, they wanted me to wait to process my payment when I was paying the city tax by cash. I left the cash on the counter and walked out, to some abusive comments from the desk guy.

Booked a twin room. Neat, clean room, looks recently furnished. Decent size. Has tea/ coffee facilities and an exercise machine in the room. Proper blackout curtains and comfy beds. Complimentary toiletries and water. Came with an extra hair dryer and hair straightener for a 'ladies room'. Good selection for breakfast - I could have eaten more... Only downside is it's a fair 10/15 walk from garibaldi station. Not far from duomo etc...

I stayed at this hotel whilst visiting the Italian Grand Prix and choose it for its location close to the station. It is actually a distance away from the very centre but 1 Tram ride is all you need to get you right into the centre for 1.50 so actually the location was perfect. The room was small and functional we had a triple which had 1 separate bedroom but it was more than adequate for our needs and was clean and well appointed. The bar was hardly manned and we had to search for a server which was annoying after a day at the track, but prices were reasonable for Milan. Although there is a locals bar across the road with a nice vibe and much cheaper than most of Milan period, I recommend trying it plus its open till 2-3 in the morning. The reception staff were very good, helpful and polite so cannot fault them, but thats not the same for the breakfast room staff. I usually stay at a holiday Inn in europe when I dont have prior experience as you can generally guarantee a level of quality as I have done for Belgium, German and Spanish GP's. Going to a Holiday Inn with the breakfast option makes sense as we usually fill up and dont have to buy much at the track, sadly not in this case, Breakfast was appalling in every way, the bread stale the hot options disgusting, when I pointed out that both the Bacon and egges were swimming in water due to over filled heating baths, I was just met with a shrug and dont care attitude. because of this other options were empty and not relenished even when asked. Both days were the same, I saw a recent review were someone put "Awesome breakfast" they must have stayed somewhere else I'm sure, as the weekend we stayed it was disgraceful. This is the reason I have rated as average, the hotel itself was nce in a good location but breakfast was very poor and lack of bar staff both days disappointing. This year I will be staying somewhere else I'm afraid
