Stayed in Milan for the footy. Hotel was good, room was clean and spacious. WiFi worked well but the area is not great and no real view of note. Bit of a hike from the centre. Done the trick. Poor parking!
Efficient use of space was just right. Super Nice breakfast buffet. Helpful staff. Modern clean design. Smoking and non smoking rooms. Close to stations and convenient location. Coffee in room and safe for valuables.
We were only there for two nights so it was perfect for us. Any longer and my review might not be as glowing. First things first, the staff is awesome!! Accommodating, extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. The hotel itself is clean, reasonably up to date and in a great location. A little outside of the city center but close enough to plenty of things to see and do. Within easy walking distance are some very nice restaurants, The Blue Note Jazz Club, Cimitero Monumentale and the subway line. A couple of negatives though. The rooms are fairly small as well as the bathroom and it is located right at the corner of a busy traffic area that could get very noisy at certain times. Overall a very good hotel.
We spent 5 nights here and it was just what we were looking for. Close enough to the city and although on a main road a quiet enough area -not the usual train station area. Also right next to the Isola area with many good places to eat and interesting little shops. The room was small but was clean and tidy. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Wi-fi was patchy and the printers in the business area PC's were not working but the staff were super helpful and let us print off some tickets and their machines. Easy access to transit -trams stop right outside. A tip if you arrive by train or Metro, take the exit halfway along platform 20 of Garibaldi station from here turn left and it's only 5 mins walk
The room was in very used (broken wardrobe) and far from clean (mold in shower, see pictures). At these price this was not to be expected. I can understand that the furniture is old and used and may take time to be changed and waiting for a complete change of the hotel, but not cleaning is unaceptable. On the bright side, Staff was nice for the few exchanges i had with them, as i did not even ask for another room, as i was afraid to lose my temper on them, and they did not deserved it, even with such atrocious room.
Have stayed in various Milan hotels but like to try new areas. From our arrival the staff at reception and the breakfast bar area helpful. The rooms are basic, but adequate, good soundproofing to deal with the trams, only English news channels on TV. The breakfast has a good selection of hot, cold, savoury and sweet items, with good coffee. Situated close by are a selection of restaurants and a MacDonalds. From the front of the hotel the no 4 and 2 trans take you into Milan centre, tickets can be bought a cross the road at the tobacco shop. From the side is the number 33, it runs passed Garabaldi metro and train station, giving access to the Como Corso area with great bars and restaurants. The hotel has a gym if that is your inclination. A taxi to and from Central station is 10 euro each way
Bad reception staff, very small rooms and beds, you can fall to the ground when turning in your sleep in single bed. No refund or discount or upgrade policy for early checkout. Rooms are very very small and you can hurt yourself in the bathroom and shower if you try to turn around.
Hard to say what may differentiate this hotel from many similar others in the same market target. The staff is nice and gentle. Rooms are not so big but quite comfy. Breakfast is Italian style, so do not expect too much. It is a bit of a hassle to find the hotel parking.
I would recommend this hotel because of it's location (nearby the train and metro station Garibalid) and because of the very good breakfast and friendly staff. Our room was rather small and there was no nice view over the city, but it was clean.
Enjoyed our five day stay. The staff was superb! I even got a great recommendation for a hair salon just across the street called HAIRMED. One of the best haircuts I ever had by Gaétano. Anyway, back to the hotel. Small rooms, but clean. The bathroom was partially updated. Breakfast is wonderful and abundant. The lobby always has fruit, coffee and water available and sometimes cookies. The bar in the evening is the place to be for aperativo. If you have had a long day at work and don't feel like going out, buy a drink and feast on their delicious appetizer complimentary buffet. There are several restaurants nearby and also a small grocery store. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but we never ate there. The tram is just outside. We took the tram daily to the Duomo area. You can purchase a 24 hour ticket for 4.50 euros or 1.50 euro for each stop at the Tabac store across the street. Good on metro and trams. The Porta Garibaldi train station is very close and you can take a train to Malpensa airport. I would stay there again. Once you stay there for a few days, it becomes home. Again, simple small rooms. However, the staff, breakfast, bar and location was the star! Thank you staff for assisting us during our stay.
