Four Seasons Hotel Milano5.0 out of 5.0

The Four Seasons is located on a quiet side street within easy walking distance of the major cultural attractions and the main shopping and dining area. It can't be beat in this regard. Overall this is a wonderful property with it's unique location, traditional architecture and central garden. It's a great hotel but a few things are not up to the expected Four Seasons standard. Vittorio and his concierge team are top notch in their knowledge and detailed helpfulness. Great directions and thoughtful recommendations including consideration for our kids, 8 and 15. The breakfast and the morning team in the restaurant were excellent and the courtyard setting is perfect. I arrived back from a run one morning just after they had removed the early morning lobby coffee service but one of the team recognized what I was looking for and fixed me up quickly. The same setting and the food itself at lunch were also top notch but we were left waiting with no attention for long intervals and finally had to go inside to search for someone to close out our bill. We had adjoining rooms set up nicely for a family of four. They were convenient in how they were connected and both rooms were spacious. The decor was classical but furnishings, towels, etc just seemed a bit tired. We also got visited for evening turndown service at 10pm, after our kids were asleep and really kind of late. The front desk team was empathetic and made sure it was right the next night. The gym is small but has everything you need, and on both visits I was the only one there. It was however too hot and stuffy. The pool is an incredible part of the architecture as it is a converted wine cellar - unique and interesting. We found out on arrival at the pool that kids' hours are limited. This is fine but is a point that should be noted when checking in with kids. We are pretty frequent guests globally at Four Seasons properties and we usually get recognized as such. In this case not. All that said it is probably still the finest place in Milano but could use a few tune ups with the team and facilities.
Compared to Florence it's not comparable 1. All good and exactly what it says on the tin 2. That's it really, brilliant and lovely but just not special compared to the FS at Florence 3. I always stay here in Milan, but it just misses the something that I can't put my finger on 4. Rooms a tad bit commercial and not special enough, had a junior suite but I could have been in any hotel junior suite. Touch of booking.com snobbery going on I think
Milan is a busy city ,espechially in a hot August month with tourists everywhere !!This is a classy Oasis in the centre of the City ,right next to he best shopping and ten minutes walk from the famous Milan Catherdral and square !!
i cant say or add anything coz im talking about the four season but four season milano i think one of the best hotel in Europe, the service the food and the rooms the have the best inside garden you can chill there and have some drinkings i stayed there 4 night i loved the location Enjoy
The hotel is situated at Via Gesu a few meters from world famous Via Montenapoleone, a haven for designer crazy shoppers. Excellent breakfast a limited albeit good food for diners. Rooms are impeccably clean. It is not cheap and one must be ready to cough up substantial amount for lodging.
Everything about our stay was exceptional from the moment we arrived. The whole staff was warm and welcoming, but we were especially pleased with the wonderful service provided by Maria, the Concierge. She always had a smile, and was especially helpful with a change we needed to make with our rental car reservation.
I cannot say enough great things about the Four Seasons Milan. Aside from the perfect rooms with every amenity you need, the staff is super human. Everyone knows every guest's name, impossibly. Chiara, Arianna, Adriana, Yaseem, Joy, Massimo C., and the rest of the crew is truly impressive. I would love to return. I give this hotel the highest possible recommendation. Thank you Four Seasons!
If I could give a 10 star rating to the hotel, I would. The staff, Mauro, Simonetta, Giada, the concierges Vittorio and his team are amazing. I always feel like I'm at home here and will not stay anywhere else in Milan.
I have never felt so unwelcome at a Four Seasons hotel ever in the world. The staff would look at us as if we were beneath them despite the fact that we have always been welcomed at every other Four Seasons in all countries we travel. The carpet in the room appeared to have been heavily soiled with dark oil-like stains. The maid woke us up once despite the fact the do-not disturb sign was on the door. The hotel concierge looked at us like we were indigents when we asked the dress code for the restaurant when we had been out all day shopping and in shorts with soft collared shirts and deck shoes.
We were only in Milan 48 hours so a great location was key. Also, the first night after trans Atlantic flight was great to be in heaven. The restaurant was wonderful. We look forward to a longer return visit.
