Our family of six stayed at Smart Brickell Hotel before heading out on a cruise, and it was a great fit for us. The space worked really well for a family our size, which made the stay comfortable and easy. It is not overly fancy or remarkable, but it was clean, pleasant, had a nice view, and was conveniently located for getting to the cruise ports. Overall, it was a solid choice for our pre cruise stay.

The room was nice but there was no shower curtain so water splashed everywhere. The body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers were empty. There was only one small trash can and that was located in the bathroom. There should have at least been one in the main kitchen area and the bedroom. The bed was a full size and not a queen. Upon check in their card reader was not working so I had to pay with exact cash because I was told they do not dispense change. Also my $300 deposit has yet to be returned. I was told 24 hours but it has still not been returned back to my bank account.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The pool was great, although noise of nearby construction a bit distracting. Hotel policies are not very guest friendly—a steep charge if you want early check in (regular check in is at 4) and you have to pay per bag to store them after check out. Overall great location in the heart of Brickell and near transit, shopping, and restaurants.
