Property itself was fine, nothing spectacular but adequate. The surrounding area is dirty and dimly lit with narrow roads and busy traffic. I would definitely skip staying in the centro area and opt for a more known mainstream stay.

This property has an excellent location near the main plaza. The manager and employees are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very clean and the bed is comfortable. The ones on the third floor have a big tub or small pool on the roof and the view is astonishing. It is very romantic and the decor is pleasant. Would definitely return!
Beautiful hotel that kept it's colonial look. The staff were excellent and my room was cleaned everyday impeccably.
Hotel's location is perfect just 7 mins from Plaza Grande. Rooms and common areas are clean and comfortable, the decor is on the minimalist side yet very warm and welcoming. Rooms have great AC, toiletries, lots of storage and closet space, and a safe box. The only thing they don't have is a mini fridge. There is a small but lovely pool to cool off after being out in the heat. The reception staff is amazing, very friendly and informative. The only thing I didn't like was their breakfast, it was expensive for the food you got and we only had breakfast there if we were leaving early on a tour and didn't want to go out. Overall great experience I highly recommend this hotel.
We arrived at the address by taxi in the morning, but we couldn't find the hotel. Orbitz was not reachable (their phone system kept hanging up on me). Our taxi kept searching until we drove by a hotel from the same hotel chain "Koox". It was then that I was told that Casona 61 was closed due to operational problems, and that the hotel transfer our reservation to another Koox hotel "Art 64". I paid approximately $200 for the room at Casona, and got a room at "Art 64" that Orbitz advertised for aroun $100 per night. Finally reached Orbitz that night, which said someone from Orbitz would call me back. Never got the call. They also told me I could email Orbitz, which I did, but I still have received a reply. Koox blamed Orbitz and Orbitz blamed Koox for not contacting me in advance- oh, you know how it is when these companies give you the runaround.
Had a great stay here! Breakfast is a bit light. Rooms are nice, AC works great, water pressure amazing. Comfy beds.
