"Sweet Dreams" - Nueva cabaña cerca de Mentone y Desoto State Park

"Sweet Dreams" es una nueva cabina recién terminada en octubre de 2019. Ubicado justo al lado de Lookout Mountain Parkway, cerca del Desoto State Park. Esta es una cabina de 1 dormitorio con una cama king size, una cocina totalmente amueblada y una terraza cubierta con bañera de hidromasaje. Esta es una cabina para no fumadores que le brinda todas las comodidades del hogar, pero es su lugar tranquilo en el bosque para relajarse y descansar. Hay una parrilla de gas en la cubierta.

This is a beautifully built home in a perfect location. But there were some amenities listed that weren’t available like a television and Roku in the bedroom. Also the linens being torn and worn out didn’t give me much confidence that it was cared for well. The kitchen wasn’t the cleanest and the shower had some sort of cleaning residual that stuck to our swimsuits when we put them in the shower to dry, after the hot tub. Honestly it just needs a deep clean and new linens which would make it the perfect place to stay.

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was well maintained and the hot tub was wonderful. Thank goodness for the covered porch because the weather was horrible.

The cabin was clean and had plenty of dishes, towels, etc. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. There are no soap amenities so be sure to bring your own. The private deck with the hot tub was very nice! There was a large tv in the living room with plenty of streaming services. The welcome notebook mentioned a tv in the bedroom but there was not one. The owner had his own hand-painted artwork displayed throughout the cabin which was very nice. We arrived after dark so I wish the porch light had been left on. It also would have been nice to have some coffee available to make in the coffee maker.

Cabin was filthy, every surface was covered in pet hair even though it was listed as no pets allowed. Dog had pooped in the closet and left it for us to find. Hot tub was disgusting I spent hours trying to get the water clear. Would definitely not recommend to anyone. Owner did come out and offered a free night. I wouldn’t even stay here for free.

This was our 4th time staying at this cabin over the past 5 or 6 years. We love the view from the LR windows, lots of deer! The location is wonderful, however the cabin is starting to show its age. (The kitchen (frying) pans were very worn and hard to clean. The bedding and mattress are also a quite worn.)

Very private, quiet neighborhood. Home looks good at first glance when you enter but we found hair on the pillows and shower walls. There was no soap provided for shower and I don’t remember reading that we have to carry our own. No coffee in the kitchen but a coffee maker is present. Again, every place I’ve stayed in the past provide the above as minimum requirements specially as this home is not very close to stores. So, carry your own if you are staying here.

The Cabin was just what we needed. It was relaxing and quite. We stayed for our anniversary and my wifes birthday. The cabin is not right in the town of Mentone but it is just a short drive.

Very nice cabin in the woods, about 5 miles from town. Loved the quaintness and quiet atmosphere. Larry was exceptionally good in communicating precisely how to locate the cabin. He is an excellent host!! It would be helpful if VRBO updated the info to state the cabin is not immediately in town.

The place was tranquil. It could really use a lot of cleaning...such as the living room furniture smelled of animals bad and the cobb webs were bad. The oven also didn't work.

127 Yard Sale

Great stay. Nice quiet area. Needs a good cleaning, new garbage can (has mold in the bottom. Needs a new shower curtain (very dirty with black spots on it) bathroom sink does not drain very well. Shower head needs cleaning or a new it’s dirty. But could be hard water. Not sure if the cleaning person was in a hurry. We used to love staying here. Not sure if we will come back. Owner is very easy to contact.
