Family getaway

We loved feeling secluded. Even though there were homes nearby, you didn’t feel like it. You couldn’t see them. The stars were incredible. The porch was a great place to enjoy in the afternoon and evening. It was so clean and beautiful.

A lovely home nestled away atop the ridge line of the Appalachian foothills. Very clean and well-appointed, with a magnificent screened-in porch! And dog friendly! Would definitely bring my family again.

Great for the soul

This property is in the perfect location and oh my goodness the porch bed swing was the icing on the cake! Kitchen is fully stocked and squeaky clean! The bed we slept in was comfortable and according to the other guests who shared our stay, theirs was as well. We’ll definitely book here again. Next time we’re in the area!

Turkey trot

Spring gobblers were everywhere and dogwoods were in bloom. Our house was a great base, and we went hiking in Cloudland canyon and lunched at the Creag with our dogs. The house was a warm and beautiful safe place for us and the fenced in yard gave the dogs lots of room to run. Dinner at the Roadside que with our dogs on the back porch was wonderful especially the brisket nachos. We will definitely return as we continue continue to rebuild our home. Beautiful location, close to waterfalls and little canyon. Rooms has nice decor and kitchen was well supplied. Enjoyed our stay soaking bit of nature.

Wonderful Mountain Getaway

I loved my time at the Canyon Hideaway Cottage. This was my second time staying there and I will definitely return. It is a great spot to gather friends and family for a weekend away. I particularly appreciate the stocked kitchen. I had everything I needed to cook all weekend! The house is clean and has lots of privacy. Don't miss out on spending time on the most wonderful screened in porch.

Very peaceful retreat

Canyon Hideaway was a perfect spot for a weekend away with children and grandchildren. The location is perfect. The house is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was exceptionally appointed. It had everything we needed for our wonderful meals. Little River Canyon is a mile away and so beautiful. We were lucky to see the falls in all there glory as it rained

Perfect Setting and Atmosphere

We were tremendously blessed by the Canyon Hideaway Cottage. It was the perfect setting for our friends and family gathering. And the porch with the bed swing…well you’re going to have to rent it to believe it. Misty was both professional and attentive to all our needs during our stay. To say we highly recommend this property is an understatement. Hope to return again soon.

Lovely home; very comfortable and well appointed. Great screened porch - would have loved to have built a fire but wrong season. The view was somewhat obstructed by the lovely trees (again wrong season). The property is beautiful and the fenced back was a plus with my grandchildren present.

Fantastic Getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay here. We are a family of six and many times when we take a vacation we are on top of each other. Not the case here. Plenty of room for everyone. Everyone had their own bed and there is enough space outside on the porches for each person to find a quiet place, if desired. The location is secluded even though there are cabins around you. You are literally 5 mins from the Little River Canyon Falls Park and the Canyon Center. We saw a good bit of deer on the property. The owners have gone to great lengths to make sure your stay is very enjoyable with a fully stocked kitchen, Solo fire pit, and a Big Green Egg for those that like to grill. Also, the highlight of the property has to be the bed swing on the back porch. I know my wife and daughter loved it. If I had to say anything negative it would be the time of year we chose to stay. The view from the back porches overlooking the brow is somewhat obscured only due to the leaves on the tree during Spring and Summer. We would definitely love to come back in the Winter and take advantage of the leaves being gone and the outdoor fireplace. Can’t say enough about the property management team, Peaceful Retreats. They definitely took care of us and answered any questions we had. We will definitely book with them in the future, including this property. Check them and this place out. You won’t regret it!
