Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne

4.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Centrally located with easy access (by walk or subway) to all the attractions in the city. The vegetarian choice for hot-breakfast is rather poor. But one could just walk out of the hotel and find nice restaurants just around the corner.

Good hotel with a helpful staff. The location was close to downtown spots.

centrally located in the cbd. value for money but a bit on the small side. bathroom a bit small but like the shower only instead of shower/bath combo in some of the older properties. not a place i would like to stay for a few days

Hotel was very comfortable and accommodating and I would recommend it.

I visited this hotel in the middle of Aug 2014. I was on biz trip in Melbourne. I can't say this hotel is good to family but if you're biz man and looking for reasonable price hotel. This hotel is right answer for you. The hotel room size and price is perfect and it's quite good place to stay and easy to access to any other place. Around hotel , has big station and over this station, you can see good sightseeing such as river and some forest. And if you enjoy some at night, this hotel is good to you, behind this hotel, there is many beer pub and bar. also you can take some good souvenir around hotel w/ cheap price. FYI, if you're asian , you can buy some thing easily around this hotel. In the room, Wifi is too slow for me, I'm not sure whether only my room has that kind of problem or not, but I has problem. LAN cable is work quite well. Toilet wise, there is no bath and no tooth-brush and no razor in bathroom due to green energy policy. But if I have to select bad thing is staff at front desk. this hotel staff is a little unfriendly, when I checked out.

Recent renovation makes you travel in time 100 years. Beautiful decor and tasteful design. The rooms are not that comfortable and the cleaning staff don't really clean, they just flatten the sheets and that's it. Paid Internet is overly expensive and the free one in the lobby extremely slow (as in every hotel).

I hoped for a bit more from a four star hotel. Yes, there is a beautiful lobby and fancy dining and bar. But rooms are very cramped, in particular the bathroom which had a shower/bath combo that had my tall husband crouching to take a shower. The complimentary wi-fi could not be reached on our 6th floor room.

This hotel is at a good location with free transfer service for skybus. Free and fast internet is a big plus. Although the hotel looks old outside, the rooms look very modern and nice. I had difficulty in getting a one king-size bed room when checking in (requesting by phone few weeks in advance). While I know such requests cannot be guaranteed, most staff (except for the first one handling my check-in) were happy to help (and I eventually got one). The water pressure in the bathroom is low though. Overall, a good hotel for a short biz trip.

Great hotel in a great location. The staff are friendly and provide excellent recommendations on what to do, see and eat. The location can't be beat just across from the train station, two block from federation square and the free tram and tour bus.

It is a good hotel in Melbourne. Offers luxury at an affordable price.

we were pleased with the room. it is within walking distance of most attractions and the free trolly is just outside so you can get to almost anything. the staff was very helpful and even escorted us to a restaurant we couln't find. we recommend this hotel
