I missed the bedside lamp, as read in bed and had to have the overhead lights on. I was disappointed the dining facilities had not been restored. We enjoyed meals there often, prior to Covid. A similar hotel nearby offers complimentary breakfast which might be 'worth a thought'. The bed was comfortable and I slept well, bonus!

Pros - Close to public Transport - Heatherdale Railway Station. Was quiet in room whilst I was there. Room - very good size and suitable for working with additional desk area. Cons - There is no lift in the building if you are on second floor you will need to carry your bags up. Garage is open underneath.

Definitely catfished by the booking site. It’s like a Wish version of the Shining’s Overlook Hotel in off season. The place is empty, the restaurant/bar sitting unused and mouldering like the carpets and paint. The rooms are relatively neat, very basic, internet provided but non-existent. If it wasn’t for the price point and the need to have a room that could accomodate 4, would have demanded a refund and found a nice bridge to sleep under.
