nice place. newly renovated. friendly staff. stayed here upon moving to australia and made some friends for life from my hostel room. 10/10 would return.

wonderful spot. space has it all! games, tv/theatre room. spa. clean rooms. friendly staff. top of cbd. what more could you want?! stay here!

I really enjoyed staying here. Everything was personalised. The people on the desk had a few difficulties with English and my stuff was cleared out of my room on the second night due to them getting the beds mixed up, the guy above me on the bunk bed had used my locker and I had used his. I was rather worried when my stuff was missing. The kitchens are amazing.

Great place to stay especially if on a budget! More like a hotel than a hostel. While inquiring about Space before booking, staff were informative and helpful through email. I was a bit worried about the locker space for my luggage at the time but it was more than adequate. I slept in a semi-private room of four and it was fine getting a decent night's sleep. Very clean facilities and washrooms cleaned regularly throughout the day which I appreciated. It is located right in the city, close to everything you need really including the free-tram zone, Flinders Station, Federation Square and the Visitor's centre. No problems leaving baggage in storage for the day once checked out either. Nice additional features that I made use of were the rooftop hottub, fitness facility, complimentary house drink at Blue Moon Bar. Lounge and kitchen areas were more than sufficient too. Also, able to book Skybus to airport right at front desk. My only reason for not giving Space a perfect overall score was wifi. Wifi costed an additional $5/day or $20/wk and up to a certain data usage only. While I appreciated the hour complimentary wifi they provided, I was only using internet while there, and it was quite frustrating having to go to a Hungry Jacks, or Fed Square to get service. Their other competitors also offer the free wifi too. Yet, I would highly recommend Space to anyone staying in Melbourne, and would easily stay there again myself.

The rooms are pretty big for what I had expected. But overall not spectacular. Rooms were clean and provided what I needed. It seemed kind of far from everything though?

Gonna stay here for another week at space hotel. Super close to the CBD. Great shopping center (QV) which is minutes away. I have to say I love the kitchen and dining facilities.

Everything was great here besides the bathrooms. They are shared and pretty dirty to use. Smells like a port o potty. Everything else was great though

I got a single room at the hostel and it was small but quaint and it had a nice little closet and a desk and even an iphone dock. I liked that the hotel had a cinema and a state of the art kitchen. The bar scene wasn't too bumping but then again it's winter. The people that work at the hotel certainly were helpful but lacked that Australian hospitality and friendliness. I really liked the hostel though it was nice cozy clean and very modern.

I've stayed there before, I'll stay there again. Bar attached is cheap and good.

Reasonably priced, great people, attached to a cheap bar, comfy beds, awesome rooftop deck. Unfortunately the hot tub was broken while I was there, but otherwise, no complaints.

Every thing you need at a hotel and the price was right.

As I wanted and as I expected - Good service, clean

This is a good stopover place after tiring road journey from Sydney to melbourne Though hope that there is private restroom for the family
