This is a good place for a quick 1 or 2 nights stay. Our room was clean, reasonable size for 2 - comfy bed. Had all the necessities you need. Was close to the road so traffic a bit noisy. Wifi free and parking but tight. Close walking to some local restaurants. Try the Indian place (OM) around the corner. We were quite happy with our stay.
Great location for city visit. Close to public transport and Queen Victoria Markets. Stayed for four nights, rooms refreshed daily l, little courtyard or balcony chairs to sit outside. Continental breakfast and small bar available downstairs. Reasonably priced, friendly staff, hot water, clean sheets and comfortable beds.
The staff is very rude and no courtesy !!! If u check out over the time around 30mins, the staff will directly kick your room door and said 'GET OUT NOW' !!! I stay for six nights and they only change the towel for me never clean the room!! If u want have a nice holidays in Melbourne better don't choose this hotel!! I think this is the bad hotel service in the world !!! Never second time if my life!!!!!
This is the worst hotel I have stayed in. The rooms were dirty, the windows didn't even lock. Asked for the rooms not to be made up - as no sign to put on the door - but they still came in. Milk was out of date. No parking - but was told there was - but as it was full, had to park on the road and move before 7am
For one I will NEVER come again even if they paid me. Rude staff, after taking your money they do NOT want to know you again. Filthy place, anywhere suppose to be clean is directly the opposite. Wi-Fi does NOT work, again, they couldn't care less. Terrible sound insulation, you will hear everything happens in your next room. Don't be conned by the hotel pictures and descriptions they show you.
I extended my stay in Melbourne after a work conference and decided to book this place being in the city. The pictures on their website are deceiving and far from the reality of what the room looks like. I was really disappointed when I got here after leaving my friends in centre city at their hotels I had to walk another 15 minutes to this crap. As I got to reception area it was just a sight for sore eyes! linen on top of the dining tables, news paper everywhere and it was just dark and not very welcoming and to top it off the guy at reception was a miserable person with no smile just took my money and gave me the keys. When I asked where the nearest grocery shop was, his reply "what do you mean? this is city there are shops everywhere" the worst attitude! When I got to my room the carpets were stained, bathroom was filthy with hair in the shower and the room smelt like smoke! The bed squeaked every time I moved. They dont have a good lock system on their room doors only having a chain lock from the inside, I pretty much slept with the table against the door for the two nights I stayed and couldnt wait to leave. Had staff shown a level of etiquette in their service my stay would have been OK but when the facility is not clean and safe and staff act like every customer is a hassle of course this will be a bad review - if only I could rate 'no star'. This place needs to be closed or sold to someone who has hospitality excellence to improve this place being in the backstreets of the city. I suggest you pay extra dollars and stay somewhere close proximity to city centre and get a welcoming hello.
What an absolute dive, worst place I have ever stayed in Melbourne. Filthy room, marks, scuffs and blood on walls, filthy curtains. Staff were incredibly rude and basically ignored you. Cleaning buckets left everywhere, rubbish.. It was truly terrible, not even one star let alone three!! Do not stay here!!!
Flew in international from Dubai early in the morning. I've booked with this place after asking if I can check in at eny time, the answer was yes so i did. Arrived, went to reception and gave the guy who was at the time in charge my confirmation number of booking and my name. With an attitude like I was asking him his life he refused to give a room not till 2pm!!!!! I'm not gonna continue with his people skills as he hasn't have any. I travel quite a bit through out the year domestic and international and i haven't experience enything like this so far. Average room that on here is advertised with a queen size bed and I had 2 single beds put together. I was so tiered to argue and left as it was!! Never again!!
Great location for going to the festival hall but the bathroom hasn't been cleaned in a long time, the walls have marks on them, mould in the shower, cobwebs in the corners, dust EVERYWHERE. The pillows have dirty black marks all over them; there's specs of blood on the wall and dead mice in the court yard which is how you access your room. The manager was also extremely rude and said "what do you expect from 3 stars" well apparently not basic hygiene standards. All we requested was for the room to be cleaned and his response was that they are short staffed, so don't have time to clean and that we can just leave if we have a problem without a refund. It's highly recommended you avoid this place like the plague, unless you want to catch your death. Every aspect was awful, from the service, to the room and even the parking.
We prebooked this accommodation for my family with a booking site. We were extremely disappointed with the cleanliness and false advertising. Once arrived we were disappointed and once we got to our room we rang management. The smell was of curry? Not sure but it needed airing and my 14yr old stated - we are no sleeping here I'm scared. We said its ok all we need is to sleep - as long as it's clean! The more we observed the room the more we found the motel was dirty. Hair in the bath Tissues under the bed Box of muesli bars under the bed But of rubbish in the bin Bench tops not wiped over Not vacummed The overhead wooden thing over sliding door falling off! Cutely dirty dirty ashtray out the front! Also to get to our room it seemed only one entry - not sure what would happen if there was a fire!!!! Rang management and let them know the state of the room and did say we are not staying and demanded a refund!! At first he said no, then I knew we had rights and there was no way I would put my family in danger of catching something!!! We ended up getting a full refund and I rang the booking agency and they found us another accommodation The flagstaff city inn were to charge us close to $300 a night! It was a lot going on melbourne that weekend which would drive the prices up but I would never stay there again! It ruined our family getaway as we had a weekend away with cancer kids charity as my youngest had cancer in 2015.
