Was on the 8th floor nice view. Fairly clean. The kitchen was well equipped for a couple with crockery and utensils. Just a 5min walk to the free tram zone very convenient and Coles is 10min walk along Spencer.

The room was clean and did not smell, something that other reviewers have commented on. It was basically furnished, we were on a lower floor so it was noisy. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, it was a bit of an odd design, quite small, with the main bedroom having a door but completely open to the lounge room with no way to close it off. The room we had, had been recently painted. The staff were friendly. It was basic accommodation, we stayed for 4 nights, and only used the room to sleep in.

We stayed for three nights in a 4 bedroom penthouse and I tell you what we were very disappointed with out stay given the price we paid. Obviously we were there for the Ed Sheeran concert and the hotel saw this as an opportunity to mark up their rooms and charge exorbitant prices over this particular weekend. $1800 for 3 nights in a penthouse, you'd expect a lot more than what we got. It was highway robbery, we were honestly so very disappointed in the accommodation standard we received. Definitely didn't feel like we had the 'penthouse' experience. Here is the overview: Pros: -Good sized kitchen and fridge -Convenient location close to station, stadium, dfo and within the free tram zone -Reception staff very helpful -The lifts are very fast. Even with the hotel fully booked we never had to wait for a lift. -Two bathrooms in the penthouse was appreciated having a large group of us staying there. Cons (where do I start): -Room is in desperate need of an overhaul. Needs painting, new furniture. Considering a penthouse is designed for 8 people, there is actually not enough seating for 8 people. -Ensuite bathroom shower kept flooding under the door of the shower. -Bathroom was NOT clean. There was other people's hair on the floor and easily cleanable mould/dust build up in corners of tiles etc. -Only ONE BEDROOM out of the four had bedside lamps. -Poorly equipped with cooking utensils and crockery. Great kitchen in the room that we could barely use because there was no microwave bowls or cooking pots! -Upstairs bedroom had terrible blinds, the sun shone in from all angles. Also that up stairs room is a terrible waste of space. Not even a proper wardrobe. -Beautiul huge patio area upstairs that we couldn't use because there was no outdoor setting! Two measly steel chairs and not a single table. Such a shame as we had amazing weather the whole time but nowhere to sit outside. It was also FILTHY on the patio. -On site car parking is $20 a night and VERY pokey. We did manage with a Ford Ranger but it was damn tight. -No DVD player. Seriously? I've not ever stayed in a self contained apartment that doesn't have a DVD player. In the right hands this hotel has the potential to really be something fabulous after a facelift, as it is in a great location and the rooms are well sized. It just really is not great at the moment in its current state. We seriously overpaid to stay here; the owners definitely saw us all coming and cashed in. Not worth what we paid. No pool and where was the 'exercise room' they had advertised? Couldn't find it. Wouldn't come back, and wouldn't recommend. Even at a cheaper, non event rate there are still better quality apartments available for the same price in Melbourne than this one. We still enjoyed our weekend despite the room being a disappointment.

8 of us stayed here for a night and it was A great location for everything. The tram is right out your door step with many well reviewed restaurants and bars within walking distance. As mentioned in other reviews it could use a slight facelift but our 3 bedroom room was perfect. Everything was clean and tidy and we had a large balcony overlooking the city. Although there was a large hole above our door in the hallway haha. The staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, allowing us to check in at 8:30am as soon as we arrived into the City. Overall for the price this hotel is well worth it and I would recommend staying here, especially if you’re in a large group.

The perfect location for our girls weekend. Walking distance to DFO and our restaurant at Docklands and our nightclub on Lonsdale Street. The apartment was clean but very dated. The main bedroom was a good size. Second bedroom as straight off the living room. The entrance to the lifts near reception is a bit smelly but ok. Good security, we felt safe. The only noise was from sirens mainly. No neighbor noise which was good. Would recommend this hotel for a short stay, but nothing longer than 1-5 days.

this is a real nice place to stay at a good price..very nice apartment with balcony..clean and facilities...roomy and air con. The staff were very helpful...friendly and accomodating. convenient to free trams as well....all good:) well done!

Stayed for two nights. Tired appartments, with shabby repairs throughout. No views from our windows and a balcony door which was locked. Left item of clothing and were unable to locate or assist in tracking it down.

Pros - very reasonably priced, located within walking distance of Southern Cross station, Skybus terminal and Coles (open till midnight). 5th floor view ok. Microwave and small fridge. Clean linen and bed pretty comfortable. Aircon worked well. Shower ok. Cons - room smelled pretty bad ( musty and bad cooking odours), little flies/fleas in room everywhere-reception did supply us with a can of flyspray. Trams quite noisy, sun shines into room in morning due to inadequate window blinds ( basically made out of paper). Kitchen very poorly stocked - no bowls and little cutlery. For the price, it’s not a bad option for cheap accommodation but don’t expect too much. You usually get what you pay for!

cramped room with a terrible smell of damp ,We complained but were told they were booked out as it was xmas .they only sent someone with a deodourising spray but it did very little to stop the stink .Thec room was boring not even a clock radio phone didnt work as they said they were upgrading and wi fi was intermittent as well .We only came back to sleep as it was not a pleasant place .it was advertised with a balcony but it was tiny and not a chair to sit on .Old saggy lounge in a cramped area to watch t v .Would not go again as there are far better placed at better value .

Don't judge a book by its cover... or the slightly dated rooms! Our large group stay, in one of the 3 bedroom apartments was comfortable and enjoyed by all. Linen was fresh, bathrooms/kitchen were all lovely and clean. Views were lovely. No noise. Close to shops and restaurants
