*Our guest house is somewhat attached to our main property. (There is an exterior entryway with a single roof but no shared walls to actual living spaces as the interior wall is storage).
*Lake / fire pit / dock images are of the properties shared yard and fully available during your stay - however please know you may encounter us from time to time as we live on property :) ****6/5/2025 UPDATE Due to recent storms the damn has broken and is under repair. This leaves our water levels at either none or very high depending on when the upper damn gates are open. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope this is corrected soon. You can, of course, take our kayaks to other open waters for personal use.

Wonderful place to stay

Our family was stayed in 5 cabins around Medicine park for our annual get together. Harper’s Landing is always a favorite place to stay because it’s located on a little lake for fishing and kayaking and the cabinet itself is very very nice! The King bed is very comfortable and we especially enjoyed the big screened in porch. We’ll be back next year for sure again..

It was very nice and relaxing. I didn't get the waterfront advertised I didn't see any water or dock nearby. I couldn't get the ceiling fan remote to work. Overall it was very good.

We loved the property, hosts, Kevin (the pig), free range chickens, all the dogs! Very layed back-close to town but still rural. Wished the river was up so we could fish but one can't control Mother Nature! Thanks for a good experience from the Kassen Crew.

Weekend stay for family wedding

Beautiful location and property. Loved the decor and amenities. Had everything we needed. It was a rainy weelend, and we used the umbrellas by the door. Would have loved to use the dock access for fishing (brought poles), but thunderstorms prevented that. Great weekend wedding (even with the rain). We would stay here again!

Relaxing spot perfect for a couple

My husband and I had a quick getaway in Medicine Park to do some hiking in the Wichita Mountains. This property was perfect for us! Close to the Refuge, relaxing spot on the water. It was too cold still to use the paddle boat or kayak that the host offered but I would love to come back to do that. The host had waters, snacks, coffee, even extra toiletries available for guests, which was very nice. The property was clean and quiet. The only thing to note is that one of the neighbors next door has a bit of a run down situation. That’s part of being in Medicine Park, so didn’t bother us, but if you didn’t know what to expect it may give someone pause so I mention it. Overall a great place to stay in Medicine Park!

Beautiful

The house is gorgeous. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, as are their pets. We brought our 3 dogs. This was the puppy's first big trip and his stomach was not happy. I asked about a laundromat and she offered to wash the dog blankets for us. That was so sweet of her. We appreciated it so much, the dogs did too. The bathroom is is awesome! The enclosed porch was a great way to relax at the end of the day. The provided snacks and farm fresh eggs were a super nice gesture. Anniversary Celebration

Excellent and professional interior decoration and accomidation. Outside: a work in progress. I only mention the negatives to help the owners recognize 3 faults: 1 ) Icemaker frozen/not-functional. 2) No lighter for outdoor grill 3) Oven was not clened, and the baking pan was not cleaned - only used it because I could not use the outside gcrill.

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time during our stay at Harper’s Landing. The Holt’s are amazing hosts and had everything we needed for our stay. Great location, just a few minutes from the Wichita wildlife preserve and a short drive to the charming town. We took a fun hike to the Latonka dam, the trail was just a maybe 600 ft from our door. If you are planning a visit to Medicine Park/Wichita Wildlife Preserve, you won’t go wrong booking your stay here. Thanks for everything!

I will be searching for any reason to visit Oklahoma again only for me to revisit this cabin. Or maybe this cabin is the only reason I need!?! We booked this cabin for my son’s basic training graduation. After reading reviews of other local rentals I was scared (my family is very picky) Luckily, This cabin did not disappoint!!! It was extremely comfy and relaxing. The added extra was the hosts provided close to everything! Topping it off with Toby the smiling dog, Kevin the sweet pig, and the hens laying fresh eggs…. However what we enjoyed most was watching road runners play up the creek while we sat eating our brunch. It was hard to leave!!! Thank you for all your hospitality. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of this small historical town
