The hotel is comfortable and offers several extras like the wet area with Spa and steam all with a view. Bed is comfortable and the rooms are spacious and clean. The check in and check out process are very slow though. Lights in the room are not good around the bed. There is only one elevator and it takes long to move around.
We arrived at the hotel from a river rafting and trekking trip with our four young adult children. The check in was fast. The showers were hot and abundant. Our room was large and clean and light. The roof top hot tub pool was enjoyed by all the family together! The common rooms were inviting with a library of books to enjoy with a cool drink of strawberry water or fresh and abundant breakfast. The staff was friendly, courteous and responsive. The neighborhood was quiet and wonderful to walk and explore. We highly recommend Hotel Sites 45!
my friend and I got a two bedroom mini apartment at this hotel because we wanted to have some space and ensure we had a balcony. we happily found ourselves on the corner of the 7th floor with an incredible view of half the city!! perfect breezes through the windows, awesome showers with rain shower heads, comfortable beds (and I'm very fussy about beds), full sized frig. We brought the living room chairs on the balcony and had a great time sitting out there listening to music after a long day of exploring. Close to our fav restaurant (BARCAL!!). Cheap beer brought up via room service. Right next door to a great coffee shop and the complimentary breakfast was awesome. Super helpful front desk and doorman (this doorman ALWAYS made sure we had a car when we needed it!). We had a great time!! Special thanks to Nicolas for catching that giant catepillar on the front sidewalk for us.
Why we, family with kid, loved this hotel so much. - The beds and head pillows (different ones for different sleeping styles!) were incredible. - Mega clean. - Super washing machines on top floor. - Nice roof pool. - Every day a bottle of mineral water in the room. - Very spacious. - Great (warm!) shower. - Good breakfast. Only down side was that the neighbourhood isn't offering a lot of stores and restaurants. Nevertheless 'el Poblado' is a good 12min stroll.
Hotel Sites in Medellin exceeded our expectations! The interior design and creative wall treatments, consistently reflected throughout the entire hotel, were extremely impressive and provided a very sophisticated overall look. A boutique hotel a cut above the rest! As well, the front staff were extremely helpful, attentive and more than willing to offer suggestions on local restaurants, methods of transportation and any other concerns we had. During breakfast, I had the privilege of chatting with server Shanly. He was extremely friendly, positive and genuinely concerned that all of my needs were met. Shanly was a first-rate member of the hotel team. I would highly recommend this hotel!
My friend and I stayed at the Hotel Sites for a few days, and would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Medellin. It's in a great location in a nice suburb, and in easy walking distance of a huge supermarket and a couple of local cafes/ restaurants. As two females, we felt totally safe at all times, even walking outside at night. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the roof top pool was very welcome at the end of each day. The interior design is chic and different - the only thing missing is a bar! :) The staff were all very friendly and helpful, but the hotel's biggest asset is the concierge Nicolas. Even in a country in which we experienced warm hospitality everywhere, he is an absolute standout. His levels of service are exceptional - despite having many guests to look after, he couldn't have done more to help us get the absolute most out of our stay. To use the Australian vernacular - Nicolas you are a legend! Many thanks - Louise and Melanie
Nice and newer hotel that sits just outside the noisy activities in the immediate area. Rooms are well appointed, spacious, with good housekeeping. Best of all, the bedding is super comfortable. Staff attitude was great in our seven day stay that started with charming Nicolas' introduction to the property. Only small complaints are that there is only one English channel; with the amount of English speaking clientele we saw, they could stand to add. The lone English channel and the toaster... (you'll see what I mean) minor "issues" indeed. Oh, forgot to mention the nice and free laundry facility.
We stayed there at the end of November. I chose the room that accommodated three of us. It was amazing how comfortable those beds and pillows were! The place was very clean. The third person slept on the sofa bed and it was also quite comfortable. The most amazing part is the view at night! The views from the bedrooms were incredible. You could see my Medellin with all of this it’s lights. Even if your room was on the lower (we were higher) they have a pool upstairs where you can see the city. The breakfast was excellent, they include omelettes made to your taste if you choose to have one. The location is quite central and we walked to stores and some restaurants from there during the day and AT NIGHT. Never encountered any issues. If you do not feel like walking, the taxi can take you to some streets full of restaurants for about $2.50 US dollars only! The rooms offer an unique and actually uplifting decor. Bathrooms were impeccable. Will MOST definitely stay there again if I go to Medellin!
The hotel is well located in the Poblado neighborhood, close to restaurants and bars. It offers a nice view from the top floor and a cute small gym. Friendliness of staff is very mixed and the rooms are noisy (not sound proof at all).
Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Stayed in a 2 bed/2bath suite on the 11th floor. The views were great and the location of the hotel is excellent. The hotel is boutique, nicely decorated, modern amenities, nice showers, comfy beds. The kitchenette is good to warm up food and leftovers. The neighborhood is charming and away from the noise. However, you can be in Santa Fe mall or in the hustle of Lleras in 5 minutes. We visited during the holidays and we were expecting a lack of staff. However, despite the crew being small, they were generous with their time and service. By the way, we were really impressed with Cinco Quince - the restaurant. We had a great dinner there on the night of dec 25th (everything else was closed). The breakfast was good too - large variety. We did heed the warnings to get to breakfast early as the place could easily get crowded. The rooftop amenities are a nice touch (gym, pool, grilling area, sunbathing deck, laundry room). However, everything is on the small side. Regardless, I absolutely loved our stay and the convenient location. Would definitely come back.
