Located in El Poblado neighbor and my room was a mini apartment with WiFi access! Nice staff and front desk very helpful. They arranged a couple of tours for me. Breakfast was included and restaurant served basic meals but were good. Nice guest too.
We stayed three nights here and were very happy with this choice. Great rooms and balcony..water provided each day. The breakfast was very good. The staff was more than helpful and the location was a perfect walk to the metro. Very quiet neighborhood... the pool was lovely too. Definitely would stay here if I came back to Medellin... oh .. and when you are walking back to the Sites hotel around 4pm from the metro Poblado station and you see a donut van please have two for me... omg I dream of these donuts/bismarks with the fresh fruit filling!!
This hotel is really nice. The staff could not have been more accommodating. The included breakfast was really good with selections for everyone.. Fresh fruit, made to order eggs, meats cheese, wonderful breads. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms are large. There is a hot tub pool o the roof along with sauna, rest area, and free washers and dryers.
My family stayed five nights at Hotel Sites. We had a great stay overall. While not perfect, the value is amazing. Location: Located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Neighborhood is upscale, and we always felt safe. There's a great supermarket not that far (10 minute walk). There's also a number of restaurants within walking distance. There's also laundry service at the top floor of the building - this was immensely helpful for us. There was always a machine available - no coins needed - just needed to pay the front desk for the detergent. Room: We upgraded to the 2 bedroom suite since it wasn't much more expensive than the standard room. It was very spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. A/C worked very well. We were traveling with a 1 and 5 year old so the hotel provided a crib as well. Only downside is that there is no A/C in the living room of the suite (only the bedrooms) so we had to keep the windows open at night for our 1 year old. We were visiting Medellin during a period of heightened air pollution so this wasn't ideal, but it turned out ok. Breakfast: Breakfast was complimentary at the in-hotel restaurant. The selection was somewhat limited at the buffet portion (fruits/breads/coffee). The kitchen made other items upon request (pancakes/eggs/etc) but the portion sizes were laughable - my 5 year old would have needed three orders of pancakes to feel satisfied and she's quite slender. After the initial few days, we started to eat breakfast at the restaurant next door which had a wider variety of items on its menu. Staff: Overall, the staff was great. They helped us find restaurants that were suitable for kids (most Medellin restaurants don't have high-chairs). They also helped put us in touch with great tour guides. Very appreciative of all of their efforts. All in all, it's hard to beat the value offered by Hotel Sites, highly recommended!
Away from the hustle and bustle of central Poblado, but still easily walkable to all the restaurants. It is in a quite and safe residential neighborhood. We walked around all three nights and felt very safe. Good breakfast, they make eggs to your order. And small but nice rooftop pool to relax in. 13min walk to Pobaldo metro station (or just Uber to places). Was a great stay to base ourselves for 3 days of Medellin exploration. And oh, the rooms are all very large, with kitchen ware and such.
We stayed four nights. Positives: Close to Poblado metro station (10 minutes easy walk) -Modern, clean and very comfortable bed with assortment of pillows -Friendly, efficient, helpful desk staff -Nice spa pool with padded lounge chairs (who knew that a warm/hot dip would feel refreshing?) Pool towels are available. -Laundry room with four washers and dryers. We washed three loads of clothes and sat by the pool nearby while we waited. Laundry soap and fabric softener is available for $8000 and was more than enough needed. -Two water bottles were provided each day in the late afternoon. Wishes: Breakfast- This was the weakest part of our experience at this hotel. Fruit and juice selection is good. Coffee was good enough. Everything else is very average. Eggs were available to order, but the selection of hot items was poor and never hot at 8:00 am. One or two items were offered- empanadas and/or sausages. Bread selection was fair- typical soft, fluffy breads and arepas. Maybe a whole grain bread or quality pastry would brighten up the selection. As far as breakfast tableside service goes, it is mostly non-existent. This is not a huge problem, but in such a small breakfast room, it seems that one of the staff standing around could come to offer coffee refills. There is no interaction with guests other than to ask for room number and if you want eggs. There is a quality disconnect between the other services the hotel offers and the breakfast. It could be improved. Recommend hotel and would stay there again.
Long story short, my boyfriend and I booked a 3 night stay at Sites. The place was stylish, trendy and clean. We met Nicholas at the front desk and he was probably one of the most genuine people we’ve met during our stay. I was sick for the first 24 hrs since we landed in Medellin and with our lack of Spanish, we weren’t really sure how to go about finding the medicine i needed. My boyfriend went to the front desk and Nicholas was nothing short of amazing and helpful. He was able to send someone to go to the pharmacy and deliver the medications i needed. Within 24 hours, i felt much better. He even asked me how i was doing the next day and if i needed anything else. I thought it was very sweet and genuine of him to ask. The problem was, i was so sick that i completely forgot about the US dollars i had in my backpack. I never put it in a safe place nor did i place it in the lock box (provided in our room) along with the rest of our pesos. Long and behold, 20 minutes before checking out, i found out housekeeping stole $80 US dollars from my bag. Yes, i could have reported this incident but at the same time, we were on a time constraint and what good would it have done... it was already gone. It was one of those “i should have known” moments. Silly of me to forget. This happens all the time and although I wasn’t particularly happy about the situation, one could only hope that this money was used for something good. I hope that people can learn from my mistake. Housekeeping will always check your bags no matter where you go. With all that being said, the hotel was clean, descriptions provided on their site is accurate, breakfast provided from 6am to 10am is free which is awesome and their front desk staff is more than helpful. Nicholas, thank you for being so kind and helpful to my boyfriend and I.
Our room on the 11th floor was spacious and clean. We had a stupendous view of the city above at night. Every evening we returned to our room to find two bottles of water and a small chocolate. Sure looked forward to that! We found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. We did laundry one afternoon. We purchased soap at the desk, more than what we needed and did two loads of wash. The pool is right there and we took advantage of it and the sundeck while waiting for clothes. We found the breakfast each morning to be adequate, not amazing. Eggs were available special order. They seemed to have difficulty there with enough cups and bowls for all the guests. If you wish to change it up or to grab brunch elsewhere, there is a great cafe next door to the hotel. We also walked to the Exito for extra water. It is not far at all. Taxis are readily available at the hotel if needed. It was our first time staying in the Patio Bonito neighborhood and we really enjoyed it and our hotel stay. We will likely return at some point.
In a safe and pretty location of Medellin, very close to the domestic airport and 25min to the Old City Center. Two-bedroom apartment with a small kitchen was nice with practical and modern design, not very cozy though and lighting quite dark. Asked for two baby cribs and everything was ready upon arrival. We loved the heated jacuzzi pool on the rooftop with amazing views. There you also have an outdoor space to sit and relax, as well as the laundry room which you can use for free. Good breakfast and room service (if you don't want to use the kitchen). At times it did get busy at the reception area which was 'demanding' on the staff... We had booked an English speaking guide / driver incl car seats for twin toddlers for a day-trip to Guatape ahead of our visit which was first confirmed and then cancelled last minute and re-arranged for one hour later, with a Spanish speaking driver, no guide and no car seats. Maybe it was simply bad luck.. as we haven't had this issue in any other location in Colombia, and we had a nice day anyway.
Couldn't have asked for anything any better. The location was fantastic. Our room was beautiful with an amazing view. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially Nicolas. His smile brightens your day and eagerness to help and make you feel at home and comfortable is like no other. Breakfast was delicious and the staff there was great also. We always got great recommendations, and had a wonderful city tour. Our room was enormous and beautiful along with the roof top pool and laundry facility. We truly felt spoiled and didn't want to leave. Thank you Sites!
