this time i go to medan for bussiness, and in the center of the town i get this hotel with cheap price even the location is perfect. and after i arrived i know why, its an old hotel, with old building, and i think this is an heritage building, its beside bank indonesia. the thing that need attention is the elevator, quite old, i hope they always maintenance it. the view is great, the one of busies street in medan and also near a food court, if i not mistake its called sudirman walk, a lot of culinary here, just take a walk and you arrive in less than a minute. the room is spacious, i like spacious room, specially if you go with family, quite neat and clean, but there only a few staff here, i can count the staf when i walk from lobby to the room, i dont know if it has a few staf or maybe i just dont see it. oh yeah, if you buy the room directly in the hotel, which is little bit expensive you can get the newly renovated room with brand new furniture etc. but i dont know what its look like, since i make an online reservation.

Got a great rate online ($28/day). Large bedroom, good sized bathroom, decent breakfast. AC busted after one night and had to switch to other room. Second room had two issues - faced road, which was very loud and the wifi didn't work in that room at all.

This hotel is old but still good. The rooms are now renovated and cozy. Despite limited choices of food, the breakfast is tasty. The location is also very convenient, Merdeka square is only across the street and the rail station is 3 mins by car approximately.

The hotel is in the center of the city. Close to Bank Indonesia. It's an old hotel but regularly touched. Two "trainees from a school" served my room service meals order and said that I had to pay cash for my bill ? Please pay attention for your Air Cond and getting colder.

I think in this review, the pictures tell it all. Actually, I cannot believe my eyes when I entered my room. Goodness, is this for real? I asked myself. But yes, it is . The curtains are torn, the room is dark. The television remote didn't work, the bathroom is not clean. We had a meeting in one of the meeting rooms, it is located near a row or rooms which is almost in ruins. The condition of this hotel gave me goosebumps.

We only stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the airport train station. The hotel is very old and not well maintained. The rooms are full of Mosquitos, and the bathroom looked as though it had not been cleaned in years. This was definitely not worth the $38AUD we paid - plus, when I booked online it was meant to be $31 yet we were overcharged when paying for no reason. Falling apart and not a pleasant stay. Not recommended.

Good things: - location - friendly staff Should be improve: - furniture, walls, and interiors need to be renewed - price following the condition (kinda one of the old hotels chain like in other inna hotel)

Inna Dharma Deli used to be a great hotel in the olden days, you can see it from the architecture and the grand piano. But as I was recently there, it has become one of the worst hotel I've stayed in. The curtains are tattered and the lampshade is torn (see pictures). When I got there, there were no towels and other amenities. There were no batteries in the remote control. The worst thing is, that they haven't cleaned the bathroom! The food was just the average. The only good thing is, the staff are quite friendly.

I was planning to stay for 2 weeks for business trip but I had a bad first impression on this hotel and it just got worse and worse everyday. First of all, the room condition was very awful. It was smelly, and rather dirty. There was cigarette leftovers in my room. Even if the hotel allows its guests to smoke inside a room, they should have made sure to clean it for the next guest. What's worse is, my friend even found some condom strips inside the drawer. The room was also poorly lit. The mosquitoes were disturbing. The bathroom looked spooky. The toilet flush in my friend's room was broken. The ceiling was leaking. The staffs were not the friendliest either. I've stayed in old hotels before, but this was by far my worst hotel experience ever. With that in mind, me and my friends decided that we've had enough and we'll just have to look for other hotels to stay. But then our travel agent told us that the hotel would not accept our cancellation. Pffft.... Just scratch this hotel off your list if you're ever going to visit Medan. It's just not worth it.

What a pity as this hotel is located very strategically in the middle of the city within walking distance to Merdeka Walk. Upon arrival, the hotel lobby did look promising. The exterior of the hotel did look dated with its colonial building but since it was dark when we arrived, we couldn't really tell. When we entered our room, extra bed wasn't prepared yet and when asked, the hotel staff seemed unaware. Had to wait extremely long for them to fix the extra bed. The mattress was so yucky-looking with multiple stains, I promise I am not exaggerating! If only they had the extra bed prepared before we arrived, we wouldn't have seen the dirty bed. Our room has a nice view of the city and the busy road but it was so difficult to sleep as the loud noise from the traffic only stopped much later after mid-night. The glass windows of our room looked like they hadn't been cleaned for ages and the curtains hadn't been changed for years as they had wholes everywhere. The toilet looked very old and needed upgrading and the the toilet bowl is badly stained. The air-conditioning system in our room wasn't working and we did call the staff to fix it but still no cool air for the entire night and the morning after. I got sick the next day due to the hot weather and the bad air-conditioning of the room. The hotel restaurant was lovely with a rustic feeling. Food was simple but what was special, they had sachets of Indonesia's local and traditional coffee, tea, honey and even jamu for us to sample. The swimming pool looked dirty and I don't even dare letting the kids into it. At the end of our 1 night stay, I can't wait to check out but I wish all the best to this hotel and hope they do some refurbishing and upgrading as I do see potential plus it belongs to a chain of hotels.
