Raffles Makkah Palace

Here’s a quick sum up of our stay at the Raffles palace. On the plus side: - Very comfortable and spacious bedrooms - Wide bathrooms with GREAT amenities - Fluffy sheets and pillows - Daily supply of mineral water and fresh fruits - Our butler Osama was thoroughly competent and made sure our requests were completed within 5 minutes. On the minus side: - Most of the waiters at Al Qasr restaurant were rather nonchalant and unbothered. Placing an order had to be done twice or thrice in hope to get a tea or an extra bottle of water (this happened when there weren’t many people at the restaurant). And when we would successfully grasp a waiter’s attention, we were under the impression that we were making an outrageous demand. The only person that was thoroughly competent, soft-spoken and serviable was a waiter named Mubarak. The five other waiters I’ve interacted with were rather disagreeable. - The food is rather average for a five star hotel. There was quite enough variety, but the taste just wasn’t there. Indian food was DELICIOUS though (thumbs up to Chef Asghar Ali), but the rest lacked flavor. Overall though, our stay at the Raffles Makkah was highly satisfactory.

I took 2 suites for 8 people , excellent suites , rooms decent size , furniture could be upgraded but nevertheless an excellent choice and really enjoyed the hospitality the hotel provided . zam zam water / arabic coffee and dates on entry . food excellent . enjoyed the daily fruit platter and dessert / sweet platter for my child and butler service is excellent . creamery restaurant well situated . if there was something i could complain was only the check out time , took long to leave

Raffles is the perfect place to stay when visiting for Umra, Its very convenient and very friendly. They are the perfect hosts. My room had a awesome view of the Kaabah. Also all in house food what on an international level, with various choices

This hotel is a perfect choice for umra pilgrims, the hotel lifts take you straight to the king Abdulaziz gate and you step straight into the Haram and easy walking distance to every thing you need to do, the hotel is of excellent quality and value ,staff friendly and extremely helpfull. Thankyou you made our Umra easy and peacefull we will definetly come back inshallah.

We took a suite at the Raffles for myself wife and 3 kids. Suite was small compared to other suites that I have had. We had a partial Kabbah view which was nice. The cost of an upgrade to a full Kabbah view seemed excessive. Very convenient location. Very near the entrance to do Thawaf. Also conveniently attached to the clock tower/mall with plenty of restaurants etc.

Best hotel we have ever stayed in Makkah. Staff was extremely professional and cooperative. View from our Kaaba suite was superb and service was impeccable. Can’t fault anything. We were offered a complimentary buffet dinner due to delay in check in.

The stay was outstanding, we started with quick check in and then we were taken to our suite to put the luggage before we proceeded to Umrah. Upon coming back I made an issue to reception that the suite had a weird smell like aged ciggerates. The staff were very quick and upgraded our suite to panoramic suite which was awesome. The breakfast was as usual out of this world very fresh and lots of varieties. This was our 4 or 5th stay in Raffles and the only suggestion for management is to seriously think about replacing the aging couches and sofas. My family really love this place and would really love to come back again.

I went to Makkah in December with my family for Umrah. My mother was not well and the hotel staff was superb. From the Hotel Manager, Reception Desk, Concierge, Room Service, House Keeping Staff, Breakfast room staff to the porters are exceptional, well trained and exceptionally helpful and kind. I have stayed at this hotel before but with the new hotel manager the service is now superb. I have stayed in many 5 star luxury hotel and this is in the Top 5 in the whole world. The room was amazing with the amenities. The breakfast was splendid. The way the staff looked after my family and my mother was just superb. I would not stay in any other hotel when I am in Mecca. The quality of the room service food was splendid and they room service staff catered to our needs. I would like to thank all of the staff and the management team for making our stay such a treat.

Location, ambiance and close vicinity to the Haram mosque are reasons enough why one should choose to stay at Raffles Beautiful rooms with spectacular view of the kaabah is definitely an added advantage Highly recommended

Raffles hotel is very good with spacious room but I didn’t get the one I looking for which is the best room 11 from each door is little bigger than other. I really recommend it for family with kids...
