The house/property is in a terrific location. We were a family of 11. Lots to do in the resort and Shenandoah National Park. Plenty of restaurants. groceries nearby. Saw deer almost every day! The patio/deck area is so enjoyable and quite unique. The kids really loved the game room, the big theater room and watching the tadpoles and frogs in the pond too. The kitchen and family area are so beautiful and spacious with those fab high windows! There is plenty of cabinet/kitchen space but really could use some more serving bowls/dishes and a pancake grill. The master bedroom and bath were very comfy and lovely. The other bedrooms were also great but be aware one outside bedroom on deck has VERY small shower and no closet...but had a hanging rack. Some faucets need repair as well as the kitchen garbage drawer not staying closed. Bring own hairdryer as the only one there is old and quite dirty and wouldn't clean up. The driveway is very TIGHT and steep. We had 4 cars, and it was a challenge getting in and out every day, but we managed. Go slowly, use your mirrors! All in all, a wonderful home for our family get-together in the mountains.

Me and 9 members of my family stayed comfortable, the parking was very tight for 4 vehicles, we had a few issues but they were taken care of the same day or by the next day. We did have to do a little cleaning when we got there as well, but we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, the movie theater and all the activities in the resort

Gorgeous home

The house was beautiful - We spent a lot of time on the decks and enjoyed the theatre and hot tub as well. The property owner quickly responded to all inquiries. The local restaurants were good and it was easy to get to Shenandoah National Park. We would definitely rent this home again.

Great for family stay

My siblings and cousins stayed for a long weekend. The house has tons of rooms and bathrooms for a party of 22. The kitchen with two stoves worked perfectly. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Winter fun with friends

We enjoyed a snowy long weekend skiing and being together as friends. We got to experience a pretty significant snowstorm and the property management was very quick to ensure the roads and driveway were plowed and treated promptly. We also had a broken dishwasher that was repaired within 2 hours of making contact!! Very good experience!

Wonderful place for large family

My family of 22 (5 children, 5 spouses, 10 grandchildren, and 2 grandparents) stayed here to celebrate Thanksgiving and Pops' 75th birthday. The house was big enough that we all felt comfortable and not squeezed in. We had a fantastic time and will plan another get-together next year in possible at this place. The only complaint was that the communication between myself and the owners was not timely or non existent. I sent several message with questions that were not answered for several days or not at all. Maybe it was the holidays but the response level certainly can be better.

Reunion in the mountains

We were a group of brothers sisters and spouses celebrating an annual reunion age ranging from 77 to 57. There were 13 of us and the space was very adequate. The kitchen and dining area was great as it allowed for all of us to sit together. We did enjoy the theater. . The outdoor grilling area and hot tub was wonderful. We did have some issues with the code, not working on the doors so we had to go around the house until we found one that worked. There were many things to fill the rainy days, some of our group enjoyed the mystery escape room located in the area. We made several trips to Shenandoah national Park and enjoy the scenery and some hiking. I would like to add that even though they say many things are not there this place was well equipped with dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. All in all our group had a wonderful time.

Excellent outdoor area

Outdoor area was perfect for the family. Tree frogs around the pond/waterfall kept the kids entertained. A ton of light switches in the house but everything is labeled so it was easy to figure out.

Gorgeous and Spacious

This is a lovely mountain home and very spacious. We were in the area for a wedding and needed space for lots of family to be together and yet have plenty of privacy and this home worked well for us. I think it had been a while since the last time it was rented and we gave the owners some suggestions but nothing that impeded our enjoyment. This custom home has had some modifications to sleep lots of folks. It would be helpful to know that one porch converted to a bedroom does not have a bathroom and another porch that was converted has an exterior entrance only. There is so much to do in the area. We stayed a few extra days and our adult kids had a great day fly fishing while we took our granddaughter to the petting farm. We enjoyed hiking and a wonderful meal on the deck by the waterfall. Read carefully what they do and don’t provide so you bring all you need with you.

Quite & Restful

Spring was a nice time to visit Big Timber with the large back deck. We used the fire tables and outdoor kitchen hot tub. We had all eight bedrooms full, but plenty of space for everyone to be together and also find a spot for quite reflection. Even with extra friends stopping in for a little party, we had plenty of space.

Ample room for a large group. The patio was beautiful and we spent most of our time outside. If you plan to be outside and enjoy a firepit, I would ask for extra gas tanks. You will need to bring cups for coffee, as there are only a few provided and they are not in the best shape. There are no serving dishes, so bring your own (bowls/platters).

Wonderful House

Gorgeous house! The house was huge with ample space. We had 13 adults and 3 kids and there was still so much space. The house has many lounge areas, balconies and a huge deck. The house was very clean! Our group really enjoyed our stay at the property.
