Great location and beautiful home with nice decor, but not family-friendly or suitable for big groups over 10. Issues with maintenance and design made our stay challenging. Not recommended for families with young kids.
- King mattress in basement has loose springs, caves in at sides, only one person can sleep comfortably, leaving others on couch.
- Bunk beds were unmade upon arrival, with sheets provided but not on top bunks, difficult to make.
- Dirty comforters in multiple rooms with food stains; had to launder ourselves.
- No floor mats in bathrooms, unsafe.
- Pool was a disappointment; advertised as heated but too cold to use comfortably, host refused to adjust temperature. Even though American Red Cross suggests 77-82, most others suggest 78 and above. House pool was at 75 and no sunlight to heat the pool, left people shivering and pool unusable.
- No screens on doors, can't open for fresh air without bugs entering.
- HVAC inadequate, house cold even during heatwave, we had to close vents
- Limited drawer space in rooms for clothes.
- Only one narrow bathtub, not suitable for young kids.
- Privacy issues; no blinds or curtains in upstairs bedrooms, neighboring houses visible.
- Multiple doors broken or don't lock; main floor bathroom door doesn't lock, bunk room door broken, sliding bathroom doors stuck.
Overall, beautiful location but numerous maintenance and amenity issues affected our stay negatively, especially for families or larger groups.
