Southern Grace is a one of a kind, gorgeous home that sits on 200 ft of Fightingtown Creek frontage. This creek is well known to the avid trout fisherman and is one of the most beautiful creeks in North Georgia! This stream is stocked and is a catch-and-release only. Only barb less hooks are allowed to maximize the trout's chances for survival and growth.

Access to the river is very easy with steps leading into the water. Whether you've come to enjoy throwing a line or just chillin' in the cool mountain waters, this stream will not disappoint. There is a patio complete with fire pit at water's edge to enjoy a campfire along with some great conversation with friends or family. Unwind in the large hot tub located on the deck under a bed of stars.

The huge covered porch is a great place to enjoy a meal or cozy up in front of the impressive stone gas fireplace. Torn between watching the game or enjoying the fresh outdoors? No worries, the 50" TV on the covered porch allows for both.

Inside this home, it is apparent that meticulous attention to detail was given in every way. You'll fall in love with the sturdy yet cozy feel of the home as well as the furnishings that are sure to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The great room has a 42" TV with Dish Network and a gas log fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a gas stove and granite counter tops. The queen master bedroom on the main level boasts a large private bath with claw foot tub as well as a walk in shower.

Three other bedrooms house the upper level, a king with 32" TV and a private balcony, a queen bedroom with 32" TV, both of these bedrooms share a jack and jill bath and there is another queen bedroom with it's own private bath with a walk in shower.

Southern Grace is one of those places you will be so thankful you found and it will leave you with a longing to return. Located in McCaysville, only 12 miles from Mercier's Apple House in Blue Ridge makes this the perfect location for those looking to get away from it all but still not too far from whats going on in town.

All of our cabin rentals are fully furnished and include a minimum of the following unless otherwise stated in the listing:

Fully equipped kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, Keurig/drip combo, crock pot, dishes, glassware, utensils, cutlery, pots, and pans, blender.

Linens for each bed, 2-bath towels, 1-hand towel, 1-wash cloth per person listed on guest list, dresser or closet for clothing storage, central heat and air, washer/dryer, vacuum and/or broom and dust pan, mop, cable or satellite TV, and propane grill.

In addition we provide a complimentary start-up supplies of: Toilet Tissue (2 rolls per bathroom), Paper Towels, (1 roll), Garbage Bags (2-3 bags) , Dishwasher Detergent (1-2 loads) Laundry Detergent (1 load), and Dish Washing Soap (mini bottle).

Many of our cabins include more than this basic list of inventory items.

The only items you'll need to bring will be food, beverages, and condiments.

Beautiful home with everything you need to enjoy a peaceful getaway with family . We celebrated the holidays early with family and could not have asked for a more accommodating space . Everyone had their own private bedroom and bathroom plenty of room in the beautiful outdoor deck for dinners .

The cabin was great. There is plenty to keep everyone busy, or you could relax as much as you desire. Would recommend to anyone. If there is one thing that could be better it is the lack of a knife to cut anything. The steak knives on site won’t cut fruit. We made due, and that was not enough to diminish all of the positives of our trip and the cabin.

Annual Family trip

This property was perfect for our active family. The house was even better than expected. The game room in the basement wasn’t even shown in the pics of the house. Entertainment for everyone! Location was incredible! Close to town, but very quiet. It was like we had the whole area to ourselves! Perfect for dogs. Ours loved the easy creek access and large flat grass yard. I have no complaints. Our trip was amazing and I highly recommend this house!(Bonus- my fishing boys loved watching the fish at the creek after the feeder went off. Large trout would put on a show eating away at the food.)Thank you for having this home dog friendly! We usually don’t get the same house…but we’re definitely considering this one a second time!

River Fun!

First night we had issues with the AC not working well upstairs. Someone before us had set it at 65 and it was struggling to stay at 75. They said they answer their phones from 9am to 9pm so called and left messages and then finally got someone the next day. I understand things happen and we were not angry about having a hot upstairs. It was the attitude of the representative of the rental company that was frustrating. She basically dismiss me and it wasn’t until later that day when we saw that the lines were frozen on the unit outside that they finally sent somebody out to us and they didn’t get there until 9 o’clock the next night. 8 adults, all of us family, stayed 4 days and had a good time. The cabin is not as big as it looks in the pictures. The living area is compact and the better TV is outside on the back porch. All eating tables are high tops so if you’re shorter it’s more of a struggle. Great access to the river! We tubed and swam the whole time. The downstairs has pool table, ping pong, and air hockey as well as corn hole. No place to sit so we brought plastic chairs inside and had fun for a few hours.

Large property

One of the best properties we've stayed at over the past 12 years visiting N. Ga. Our 3 boys had a blast tubing, fishing, exploring around the cabin. Large yard was perfect for small dogs as well! Highly recommend.

July 2024 vacation

Beautiful fun property. We had ages 14-76. We chose this property with hopes it would be handicap friendly for my parents. The creek fishing and swimming was excellent and the floats included were great. They even had a tube inflater. We could not use a power chair at entrance due to the steepness of incline and steps to get into home. Otherwise, the inside of the house worked well for persons with mobility issues. We played in game room and absolutely loved the poker set. The grill was fantastic for dinners. I would recommend sharpening the kitchen knives. Overall this house was fantastic, but I would not recommend for handicap individuals.

Great family getaway!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Southern Grace. The property was peaceful and tranquil while still offering activities to stay entertained. We enjoyed fishing, playing pool and ping pong, and had game night every evening... well cherished time that we don't often get with our 19 & 21 year old son and daughter. We also enjoyed nearby attractions in Blue Ridge and McCayesville. We shopped, dined out, did gem mining and putt putt golf. Communication was great with the management company. After a night of severe thunderstorms, they reached out to see if we had power and needed any assistance. The house was clean and well stocked with what we needed. We would love to visit again!

Peaceful Getaway

The cabin is very nice and we all enjoyed our stay. The cabin is very remote; we arrived at dark so that made it a bit harder to find but it was very quiet and peaceful. The lights on the fence sign where the house numbers are were burned out so that was difficult. A few minor things we would have been happy to have such as a lighter for the fire pit, we were unable to have a fire because we could not find any lighters anywhere. The fishing pole was broken so we couldn't do any light fishing at the river. The back porch was covered in pollen and needed a good cleaning but this could just be a daily pollen cover from the woods. No complaints just some small things to share in case management wants to look into them. Otherwise, it would be a wonderful family cabin or a great getaway for the girls! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

April Bachelor’s Trip

My brother and his six groomsmen was my focus for this trip. This Cabin outside of McCaysville was perfect. We could enjoy the property, fly fish, sit by the fire, and relax in the hot tub. The kitchen was outfitted well to make Mississippi pot roast one night and breakfast every day. Its location off the beaten path but between Blue Ridge to the south and the Ocoee River rafting centers to the north made it a perfect place for us to catch up and bond before the wedding. Several of the guys were asking me how I found this place so they could book it themselves to take their families to the mountains too. Great spot!

Mardi Gras getaway

My son and I frequent the area each year to trout fish. This time we brought the entire family. The game room was a hit. Now we have ping pong experts. The creek was just as good as any other place we stayed. There are trout there and nice sized ones for sure. This is a very nice place to stay at.... probably the nicest so far. I have no complaints and you cannot go wrong staying here at all.
