Sonder Ridge is a private 38-acre hilltop retreat in the heart of Hocking Hills, offering panoramic views, total seclusion, and unforgettable stargazing—just 5 min to the winery and 8-10 min to Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, and Old Man’s Cave. The ultimate couples retreat seeking privacy, romance, and adventure all in one stay.

The cabin sleeps up to 4 guests, featuring a harmonious main level thoughtfully designed to foster togetherness and relaxation. The main level includes a sleeper sofa and a fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher, stove, toaster, microwave, pots and pans, cooking utensils and Nespresso coffee maker. The bedroom features a king bed (with the comfiest mattress we could find) and blackout blinds in the loft. The bathroom is fitted with an oversized shower and a rain shower head. There is also an outdoor shower with hot + cold water located on the back side of the house.

There is parking for up to 4 vehicles—contact-free entry upon arrival. Our property is situated on an incline, and while a Toyota Corolla can navigate it without any trouble, some guests prefer an SUV for added ease. During the winter months (Dec 1- Mar 31), we highly recommend a vehicle equipped with all-wheel drive for optimal access. There are Ring doorbell cameras at the doors.

Someone will always be available to help guide you throughout your stay. We aim for you and your family to have a relaxing, phone-free weekend where you can connect with one another deeply.

Comfortable sheets, bathroom towels, and hot tub towels are included. We provide 2 complimentary Nespresso pods per day stayed. We also have a normal coffee pot if you would like to bring coffee from home (filters are included). We have a new addition of a waffle maker, so bring your batter. Additional bathroom amenities include a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
The cabin is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Guests can enjoy a TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a fireplace, a sofa bed, and a coffee maker.

Sweet little getaway!

The lady and I had a great stay! The cabin was close to all of our favorite hiking spots, the owners were great, and check in/check out was a breeze! We would certainly stay again and recommend to anyone who wants a clean and cozy cabin!

Secluded Cabin Close To Park, Pizza, & Wine

Excellent hosts- very responsive, easy to reach & talk to- seem very down to earth & sweet! Absolutely loved how the Brown's set up our space to celebrate our 10 yr anniversary w/ a bottle champagne, box of chocolates, rose petals, & handwritten letter! Super cute cabin! Esthetically perfect to me-colors/decor/style/layout/etc.! Very clean, thoughtfully laid out, attention to detail in decor/furniture, nice essentials for food & beverages! Absolutely LOVED the hot tub for cool mornings & relaxing our muscles after long hikes! Perfect location to be close to the park & hiking w/ seclusion- further than we thought from "town", but that was okay for us! Papa Dino's Pizzeria is close w/ yummy pizza, salad, & apps, exceptional service, relaxing atmosphere! Le Petit Chevalier Winery is 5 min. away & has delicious apps, amazing wine, games, gorgeous yet laid back atmosphere! The glass blowing place is 10 min. away & is cool to see the artists creating! Had to drop 1 star due to the driveway- it's not necessarily that it's steep, but that it is rough & definitely needs some attention & proper graveling- even in 4 wheel drive, it was rough. No W/D was a downfall, however I didn't check into this prior to booking. Would love to see what you do in the future- expansion w/ W/D & 2nd bath, clean up & make new trails, etc.! Definitely recommend staying here & would stay again if the driveway is repaired/completed!
