Needs updating & doors need work. Beds were comfortable. Needs some good air fresheners. Friendly, personable, helpful staff. Small bathroom, dim lights. Not bad for one night but I would not want to stay more than that.
On my way home from Huntsville, AL to Chicago, i spent the night at the Quality Inn.... It’s conveniently located right on route US-641.... I'd like to give it a 3 1/2, but TA doesn't allow half points, so i knocked it down to a 3, mainly because i felt it was a bit pricey for this level of accommodation.... My double room (the cheapest room available) was clean and well appointed with a flat screen TV, good-sized bar fridge and a microwave..... The bed (full-sized, NOT queen) and pillows were very comfortable.... Also, there were plenty outlets to charge devices along with the free wi-fi...... There was a fair amount of noise from the highway, but i solved that problem by running the fan all night.... I would say the buffet breakfast was above average and well presented.... Lots of choices and the seating area was nice..... The one thing that caught my eye was they use paper plates/bowls rather than the usual foam serving-ware.... Gee, what a great idea! I talked to the friendly morning manager about it and he said even though it’s a bit more expensive, all Choice Hotels are required to use paper in an effort to go more green...... not to mention paper works way better in the microwave.... All hotels should follow suit..... The only complaint is i thought it was a bit pricey, about $90 all-in with a AAA discount on a slow weeknight... Also, the pool was already about to close when i arrived (9 PM).... Seems like it should be open later, especially on slow weeknights. But, overall, the Murray, KY Quality Inn is a good choice if you need to spend a night or two.
Second time staying here. $75 plus usual screw visitors taxes. Not a good value. Our room was not clean. Poor attention to deal. Bed and our breakfast was ok. Hotel is very dated and needs serious updates. Probably looks like it did in the 80s. Best Western is a much better stay for same price, it's just up the road. Best Western is much busier. Other's have figured this out as well. We won't stay here again with better choices so close by.
I stayed there for one night. It was very good. Room was clean and comfortable. My kids likeed the indoor pool . The location was great, near everything in Murray and it was very close to the soccer park. Very good breakfast and all staff are friendly. I recommend Quality Inn to everyone who wants to come to Murray
My employee and I Came into town to do a remodeling job on a bathroom. I picked this hotel because of price, good value. This is a great place to stay for business travel. I wouldn’t want to come with family the rooms are clean but dated, small room, small bathroom, but again were here on business and only need a place to sleep, the hotel is great for business travel. Clean plenty of towels, decent breakfast, good parking for large truck. I would stay again if I’m in the area on business. Pool was running but hot tub wasn’t.
It is an okay place if you visit the city, and you need a comfortable place. My parents stayed here for a few nights at my graduation at MSU. Good place for the value. Breakfast was okay, clean rooms and friendly staff.
I stayed here with my family while on a work trip. This hotel seems like it's on the rebound. It isn't very appealing on the outside, but it was very clean and looked like it was being touched up on the inside. With that said, our room was pretty small, and we were disappointed that the pool wasn't open. Seems to be the norm here. I saw in other reviews it had been down for quite a while, but it was not. Probably will try our best to stay somewhere else, but if you're looking for a small place and a quick stay, this hotel will work fine.
Positives- friendly desk people. Fair breakfast offering. Clean bed. Negatives- janky bathroom. I think tub was clean just stained. Showered but kept flip flops on. Shower curtain so messed up it wouldn’t close. Toilet wobbles for want of a new wax seal which takes 30 minutes and costs very little. Desk staff very gruff about pool, we were not taking food in but still felt necessary to say no food in pool. Pool is pretty cold and not updated at all. Spas broken, but looks like it had been a health hazard. Corporate should take care of this place. Won’t be back.
Stayed here while visiting Murray State. Booked intentionally because of convenient location and pool. Very disappointed upon checkin to find pool drained and closed. Shame on me for using Expedia and not looking at trip advisor! Front desk said no discount because policy is that it’s posted on their website. Room was nice although bathroom small and door had gap that let light in from hallway. Breakfast was good, bed was comfortable. If pool had been open, would give more stars.
My parents are in two separate nursing homes in Murray and I frequent this hotel and the Hampton. When I go by myself I usually choose this one because of the pool, hot tub and security. This will not longer be my choice unless everything is sold out. This time the pool and hot tub were closed by the health department and the bar you put over the door in addition to the lock was broken off. Normally breakfast is good, but because of occupants it was sparse. In addition the housekeeping staff sat on the couch right outside the room speaking loudly and laughing that it made enjoying breakfast and reading impossible. I don't know if management has changed or just become unconcerned but at this point this will not be my "go to hotel" when I go to Murray.
