We decided to have a two centre stay in Maurituis this year and this hotel was chosen for our first week. On arrival (early in the morning) we were shown around and escorted to our room straight away, which was a nice way to start. On the first full day, had two unfortunate things happen in the restaurants. The problems may have stemmed from untrained or relatively new staff. Anyway, after the second incident we asked to speak to the F and B manager (Eddie), who was apologetic and became a very attentive and helpful staff member during the rest of our week here. The room, a junior suite overlookin the inlet, was more like an apartment feel with washing machine, cooking faciilities, american style fridge freezer, and all the utensils. It was very large and quite acceptable. The two local golf courses are quite different. Having played both, I would say that the Anahita (Ernie Els) course is the best one to play. The island course, Ile Aux Cerfs, is just too tricky for the average amatuer to enjoy and the buggie fee is a lot more than the Anahita. Overall it was a nice experience, but I dont think we would return.

Anahita resort is beautiful. Service is amazing and very friendly. We aren't golfers, so we were really looking for a restful vacation. I was a little surprised to realize that the beach front was really quite gross, given that the currents deposit garbage and seaweed right in the Anahita bay. With that said - you have access to an AMAZING beach at Ile des Cerfs... which was quite spectacular. With younger children we ended up wishing that we had booked another place with a full-board option and a few more activities on site (most interesting activities and swimming was at Ile des Cerfs, which just requires some coordination and efforts to avoid forgetting the mileu of effects that one needs for a preschooler and a baby. 3/4 Board: While we had a kitchen it was nearly the same price to eat in the restaurants (since grocery options are far away). Hope this helps younger families think about what works for toddlers and babies.

Pleasant welcoming, fruit in your room and an early check-in!! Beautiful surroundings and a very nice accomodation (had junior suite). Maybe the bed was a bit too hard for my taste. Excellent services and very friendly staff. The food served was top-class (had half-board).Golfcourses are a delight to play. Have only one complain: the extras e.g. drinks, lunch-packages etc are close to robbery. You pay 160 MUR for 33cl beer, which actually is 20% more than what you pay for a 6-pack in local store. I think that the resort will benefit from more moderate price-setting.

We had a great week's holiday at the Anahita in October. The staff were great, trying to anticipate your needs rather than wait for you to articulate them; the food was of a very good standard - varied and plentiful, not the same thing night after night; the accommodation was spacious and pleasant and the golf courses were fantastic. We are good club golfers and we found the courses challenging but not ridiculous. The island course in particular was a delight. Would we recommend Anahita unreservedly? No, we would ask first what sort of holiday you want to have. We have been to Mauritius several times and stayed in various parts of the island. The Anahita had the least Mauritian feel to it of any place we've stayed. If you want a resort where you open your curtains and have views of the ocean just a few feet away, with sun lounges at the ready and the water inviting you to jump in, then the Anahita is not the place for you. Its marketing makes much of the fact that it has a private beach (very shallow and rocky underfoot) on an island that can be accessed with a resort boat trip. All true. What it doesn't say is that the resort itself does not have a beach to speak of (just an access point for water sports). Anahita is on a golf course and its coast is either fairways or mangroves. The apartments and villas are spread across the course and your views will be of little backyards or, if you are upstairs, golf fairways. Its lovely but not the "Mauritian experience" we expected and wanted. It is possible to get both the golf courses and the beach experience at other resorts (the nearby and more expensive, Four Seasons, being a case in point). The distance between things in the resort is also an issue. You need to ring for a guy in a golf buggy to take you just about anywhere you want to go, to dinner, to the golf course, to the quay, for a coffee, to the large resort pool. It gets really wearying and owners of the various luxury villas seem to have bought bikes, segways and powered scooters to get them around. It requires a buggy ride, a boat ride and a buggy ride to get to the island beach and the boat only goes every half hour. We didn't swim a lot as a result. Even the pools are a bit ordinary as so many of the more luxurious villas have their own lap or plunge pools. Also the Anahita is out on its own on the east side of Mauritius which is much more windy than the west side. It is a long trip to Port Louis and other places you may wish to visit. But if you want to hang out at a lovely resort, pay golf a lot, enjoy good food and good service and that's your focus, we couldn't fault it.

Played Four Seasons Anahita on 5 November. Apart from a great layout, the golf course is in a superb condition and beautifully manicured, just the way I like it. I unfortunately didn't play well, blaming it on the distracting views. The experience was made even more special by a great host Dave Usendorff (Golf Director). Thanks Anahita for a memorable day, I would definitely recommend this course to any golfer visiting your beautiful island!

We had a fabulous family holiday and would recommend to anyone. Excellent food, friendly staff and more than ample space in our accommodation. Facilities for all the family including water sports ,tennis and free bike use. Overall resort very clean and tidy.

We stayed at the Anahita for 10 nights with our 3 year old daughter. We can’t fault the hotel and service. Our daughter really enjoyed the kids club. The pools were fantastic and there was a choice of beach.

We had an awesome stay there. It’s our 2nd time there and the service was awesome, what was even more amazing was that everybody recognized us as repeaters guests. Special thanks goes to Arvin’s (restaurant manager) and Aki(head waiter) who helped me organize the perfect surprise dinner for my husband on our court mariage day, yogesh, manav and Singh from inroom dining who took care of our every food details, to yogesh (buggy driver), yash and Artee (housekeeping team) and big thanks to every single person who made our stay a memorable one specially the ones who work by the pool. In behalf of Mrs & Mr Donzé.

This resort is just pure luxury, if you imagine your dream holiday you won't go wrong staying here. Food & service were excellent. We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The place is so beautiful and people so friendly. The service was truly exceptional they will make everything possible to make you happy and keep you smiling all day long. The private beach is as good as any in the world. Thank you for the amazing stay.

Fantastic resort and brilliant golf course, enjoyed our 5 rounds and would recommend to anyone to put this on your bucket list of things to do. Service was excellent from Dave and his team and we all can’t wait until next year when we return. Keep up the great service.
