I bought this stay for my son’s honeymoon and he and his wife loved the stay. They enjoyed all the amenities you offered. The only negative thing was I tried to arrange for a flowers and champagne upon their arrival for their room but was unsuccessful. I would think the resort would have an arrangement for such things. The person at the resort just told me about local florist and I would need to contact room service for champagne. I decided too much trouble and didn’t know what room they were assigned. Other than that they had a nice stay and would go back.

The Grand Wailea is not so grand, but you will spend a lot for your room without receiving good service—it's like being treated like cattle. I recently stayed for 9 nights, and despite paying over $800 per night, a resort fee of $50, and $75 for valet parking, my experience was incredibly disappointing. While my daughter enjoyed the pools, my experience as a single mom was far from ideal. When my daughter fell ill from food at one of their restaurants, I asked the front desk for help. I requested a Sprite or water be brought to our room, but I was told to “call DoorDash.” This forced me to get my sick child out of bed and walk to the café for drinks. After this incident, we checked out early and moved to the Fairmont Kea Lani, which felt like going from a 2-star to a 5-star resort. The service, amenities, and overall experience were hands down better. The grounds at Grand Wailea were nice, but our room was old and run down, with a malfunctioning closet door that I couldn’t even open or close properly. Service was consistently poor, and with only one working elevator, we faced excessive wait times. The pools were overcrowded, making it difficult to find a place to relax. To top it off, I was charged $250 for a pool band I thought I lost, which I later found in my rental car, yet the hotel did not respond to my inquiries. Overall, there are much better options at similar prices where you can receive true hospitality. I would not recommend the Grand Wailea.

Our stay at the Grand Wailea was extremely disappointing and far from the luxury experience we expected. The resort is overcrowded to the point where it’s impossible to enjoy any of the amenities. If you arrive at the pool after 7am, there isn’t a single chair available. The breakfast line starts forming at 6:30am even though the restaurant doesn’t open until 7am. It feels more like waiting in line at a theme park than being on a relaxing Maui vacation. The service was awful throughout our stay. Staff members were rude, unhelpful, and acted like guests were an inconvenience. The rooms are very outdated and poorly maintained. Our first room was so dirty we asked to be moved, but the second room was even worse. On top of that, although we booked a Mountain View room, we were downgraded to a parking lot view with no explanation. For a resort of this price, the lack of basic amenities is shocking—not even slippers were provided. It is honestly sad to come to such a beautiful island and have this kind of experience. This was by far one of the worst hotel stays we’ve ever had, and we would not return or recommend this property to anyone.

The property is much larger than I anticipated, perhaps my fault for not paying more attention. The site map was difficult to read. As someone with mobility issues, it was difficult to figure out where there would be stairs. My room was located at the far end of the property, meaning that I had to do a great deal of walking to get anywhere. The car valet service was very good, but $75/day seemed steep. The facilities are adequate, but dated. Chipped paint and stained tiles. I just didn't feel that the value matched the price.

This resort is stunning! The view from our room was amazing! We stayed 8 nights and ate at all the restaurants. All were great. Nobu had the best sunset (make reservation for 30 mins prior to sunset and request the middle table out on the patio). The bar at Humuhumunukunukuapuaa is so cool! You’ll see all the stars of Finding Nemo. We also attended the Luau and had a VIP table right in front. Definitely worth it!

We spent 1 day of our trip to Maui at the Grand Wailea to enjoy the pools before we left the island. This was our 4th time at Grand Wailea - and it was amazing again. There was a bit of concern with my initial booking that I tried to get corrected by phone before arrival, but Gilbert at the front desk was super reassuring and got us all sorted! We had a wonderful stay! Wayne at the swim-up bar was super nice, and we all loved the aquarium bar at Humahuma - definitely another highlight!

Great way to keep kids burning calories, and fun to relax as well. The fog generator in the cavern by the bar is amazing, but wish slides were all open and more unique fog was available.
